Tiller Killer

Scott Roeder, the accused killer of Dr. George Tiller, in court in Wichita, Kan.

Was the murder of Kansas doctor George Tiller an act of terrorism? In a move sparked by fear, Tiller’s family has decided to close the clinic, one of the few remaining places in the U.S. that performed late-term abortions.

Reuters:

The family of a murdered Kansas doctor said on Tuesday they would not reopen his clinic, which was one of only a few in the United States willing to provide late-term abortions.

George Tiller, 67, died in the foyer of his church, shot once in the face as he served as an usher at Sunday services on May 31.

Police quickly arrested anti-abortion protester Scott Roeder, 51, and have charged him with first-degree murder and aggravated assault in the killing.

A statement released by attorneys for Tiller’s family said they were “ceasing operation of the clinic and any involvement by family members in any other similar clinic.”

Agree with you 100% rockinrobin. I recently learned that the high fructose corn syrup that is used to sweeten so many of our food products contains high levels of mercury. Sending your kid off with a “health bar"and juice box for snack time? Think again.

Women and their doctors simply have to have the right to choose what to do in view of all the facts available in any given case.  The decision is nobody else’s business.  Laws should support their decisions and law enforcement should protect all persons involved against radical self-appointed killers. Until these rights are assured we will continue to breed home-grown terrorists and holier-than-thou preachers and fanatics.

Although Tiller killed thousands of unborn babies through late-term and partial-birth abortions, murder is murder and wrong is wrong. Abortion and murder are both unacceptable.

So Tiller’s colleagues don’t have to spine to murder a partial birth, end of term baby - Good for them!

What kind of message are they sending? It’s understandable that they are frightened, but this was a case where they really needed to take a stand and I guess Tiller’s colleagues just don’t have the spine he did. This is exactly what Roeder and his supporters were hoping to accomplish.
