Fidel Castro circa 1959. Two Americans arrested Thursday on charges of spying for Cuba met with the Cuban leader in 1995, authorities say.

A 72-year-old former State Department employee and his 71-year-old wife were arrested Thursday on charges of spying for the Cuban government. An undercover FBI agent reportedly tricked the couple into giving up their secret after they allegedly had been engaged in espionage for 30 years.

AP via Google:

An undercover FBI agent approached them in April, pretending to be a Cuban spy. Court documents say the couple fell for the ruse and began meeting with the undercover agent at Washington hotels.

The indictment says the two agreed to be spies in 1979 after meeting with a Cuban government official while they were living in South Dakota. At Cuba’s direction, authorities say, Kendall Myers attempted to get jobs that would give him access to classified information.

Folks please remember that Israel is our most favorite ally, good friend and buddy. They can spy if they want to and they can torture Palestinians if they want to, and we will provide the money and the torture gear. We Love Israel!? Don’t we?

The Coen brothers could make a really good black comedy out of this. It would be funny - if two actual, real, live elderly people weren’t involved.

It is hard to believe what our government says anymore, they have lied to us so much.  If there is a trial for all the world to see, then they are probably telling the truth, if not, then it is probably propaganda to turn people against Cuba, because Cuba has such good medical health care for their citizens.
What is the difference between a legal and an illegal spy?
The Rosenberg’s gave away the Atomic Bomb.  Isn’t Rosenberg a Jewish name?

Mr Myers stated he was disillusioned back in ‘70s, geez, how many people are disillusioned today?  Our country is far worse, and we all worked hard to get “change” in office and come to find out, “change” is something we toss in the console of our cars!

HYPOCRISY?

SO, if spying for Israel is OK and we a) don’t prosecute or b) levy a small(?) fine, what about doing the same here. And if not why not? To do otherwise would be hypocrisy?

No prosecution for spying—for Israel -

Fined for spying for Israel -

Jailed for a million years—for informing the US about Cuban-American US domestic terrorists—Oh. Oh. Walks like a duck. Talks like a duck.  YES, it’s - HYPOCRISY, bigtime. -No change there, then -

Israel spies on the US all the time, and we just let them get away with it.

They should pay a fine and be let go like the Kadish guy who spied for Israel.

A ticket and a fine for espionage, Is this what patriotism for America has fallen to.

Sheeez.

Single Payer is so right.  The police state is getting stronger and stronger.
The Cuban “spies” remind me of the Rosenbergs.  Does anyone remember them?  About 60 years ago, they were both executed as spies for the Soviet Union.  Big sensation at the time.  Communism was an evil, godless political system—the biggest threat to the U.S. since the devil roamed the earth seeking the ruin of souls.
Now—guess what?—we have to toss all that down the memory hole. Those in Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, and others in the middle east are the biggest threat to the U.S. since the devil….

So many citizens being arrested these days.

Probably some sort of new meaning of the Change policy. New Jersey blogger arrested, kook killer of tiller arressted, elderly miami couple arrested, etc.

Why does this remind me of “Darkness at Noon” by Koestler? Just more manipulation of Mainstream Media to district, frighten and confuse the general public.

Turn off that damn corp propaganda oligarchy, particularly CNN and Fox. All the same, including PBS.

They keep us stumbling around in the dark.
