Sen. Inhofe Concerned About the Whole Race, Gender Thing

The news that known Latina Sonia Sotomayor may soon join the Supreme Court spurred an apparently alarmed Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) to hold forth in a statement on Tuesday about the need to make sure that Sotomayor will be able to mete out justice from her vaunted post without her pesky extra X chromosome or her non-Oklahoman ethnic roots mucking things up for everyone.

Sen. Inhofe via Talking Points Memo:

“Of primary concern to me is whether or not Judge Sotomayor follows the proper role of judges and refrains from legislating from the bench. Some of her recent comments on this matter have given me cause for great concern. In the months ahead, it will be important for those of us in the U.S. Senate to weigh her qualifications and character as well as her ability to rule fairly without undue influence from her own personal race, gender, or political preferences.”

boggs,

Inhoff is not a good Christian.  No conservative could be a good Christian, as no conservative has any concern for the common majority population.

Inhofe is nothing more than a bigot from Oklahoma.
He thinks the neo-cons pulled off a real deal when they tore down the american economy, shredded the constitution, and made all his cronies rich, now he’s scared to death of having a “colorful” white-house and Supreme Court. And all this makes him a good christian.

“Yoo has just endorsed Sotomayor!”

No irony in a factual statement, you didn’t say Yoo has just the same as endorsed Sotomayor, you said Yoo has just endorsed Sotomayor!, big difference.  So are you saying you just made that up?  Geez.
*************************************************

Since you like to pompously lecture and spout definitions like an old B&W movie professor wearing a mortarboard, I suggest you add to your list two or three words:

1) “IRONY”
2) “SATIRE”
3) “HUMOR”

While you are at it, add “Non-Sequitor” because non-sequitor is the foundation of all humor.

Boy, being a pompous @$$3ole makes you look really dumb.

Inherit The Wind says CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN John Yoo, the “I’m not a crook” lawyer endorsed Judge Sotomayor, which throws up some flags for me as to why he would do that? Because Yoo’s endorsement, unless it’s code, could hurt her more than help her, especially with democratic minded people.
************************************************

What I TRIED to say was Yoo’s attacks on Sotomayor (and they have been vicious) were tantamount to an endorsement because the vast majority of Americans see him as a fascist little worm, so whatever HE attacks deserves a second look and may be pretty good.

Sometimes irony doesn’t fly over big here at TD….(sigh)

From where I’m standing the world would be a much better (and safer) place if anyone with testosterone was banned from holding any political or judicial office at all. All this crap about empathy only documents that men like Inhofe don’t have any and distrust anyone who does. You only have to look at the Bush administration’s inept and destructive ‘handling’ of North Korea to see how testosterone gets in the way of rational thought. There are too many other examples to list.

so the republicans can be led by christianity, but the democrats can’t rule by their gender, race, or political preferences?

Unbelievable?  Not at all when you listen to the Conservative base of the Republican party. The Conservatives continue their vile ways of intolerance and exclusion for anyone not (W)hite,(A)nglo,(S)axon,(P)rotestant. The bigotry and hypocrisy is exemplified in the people they identify as leaders.  How can anyone turn on Colin Powell for all this man has done in his career ( I too was disappointed in his role in declaring WMD in Iraq. He was playing the “Good Soldier"role).  Conservatives who continue to look to Cheney,Rove, and Limbaugh(?) as leaders only are digging a bigger hole for the GOP.  Limbaugh has never did a thing for this country, Cheney and Rove only served to tear this country down.  Powell has served this country honorably and with distinction.  How can anyone with any conscience demean this man is beyond me.  The Conservatives are continuing to chase Independents away with their selfishnish and mean spiritedness.  I and many of my friends are former registered Republican and Democratic voters who are now registered Independent.  The GOP had better find a way to right their ship or the next election will be a even bigger disaster.  I could never vote for a Republican party controlled by Conservatives. I could vote for a Republican party that is more moderate and has a sincere interest in helping this country recover our reputation in the world and had interest in helping sustain a viable economy instead of being obstructionists.  If Republican voters continue to listen to the likes of Cheney, Rove and Limbaugh they are headed for a black, black hole they will never climb out of.

ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT LATINA JUSTICE, AHHHHHHH!!!!!
Listen You PUSSY GALORES, no one Justice can control the Bench- not even Roberts. So pull your panties down from around your Waists.
As for her very Insightful Reality that any Female can have a better innate comprehension to the woes of most people- get over it. Little FYI Woman not only were Ordained by God to be the Bearers of Life and Nurturers of It- You males have been happy to delegate that to Us Too. We are Far better Caregivers and nurturers than YOU- according to You and apparently in the Eyes of God.
So will she empathize with the side of any case which may have an more profound effect upon the ‘Human Element’ -DAMN RIGHT she will because the Constitution and the Bill of Rights was Written SOLELY for ‘WE THE PEOPLE’!
How can any Person Claim to have Faith or Revernce if they Scoff at Empathy?? Further Who can claim To be a True American who Rejects the Value of Empathy in OUR society? What the hell do you think Our Founders Waged a Revolutiojnary War to Free US of ..A heartless Greedy Monarchy.Sounds alot like our Present day Corps who consider their Logos to Be priviledged Family Crests. so yes we want,Demand and have the Right to,  someone who empathizes with “WE THE PEOPLE”!!!
