Military Office Director Resigns Over Photo Op Gone Awry

Posted on May 8, 2009

“Say cheese, New York City!”: Air Force One flying low over New York Harbor during a federal government photo op on April 27.

On Friday, the White House Military Office director resigned after stirring beaucoup controversy by authorizing Air Force One, trailed by two fighter jets, to fly low over Manhattan on April 27. The incident brought up all too recent memories for New Yorkers, sending thousands of panicked workers out into the streets.

The New York Times:

Louis Caldera, who served as the secretary of the Army in the Clinton administration, apologized for the “distraction” that approving the flyover caused. He said in a brief letter to President Obama on Friday that it “has made it impossible for me to effectively lead the White House Military Office.”

[...] It was a photo opportunity – authorized by several government officials, including Mr. Caldera – that infuriated Mr. Obama.

Thank you PatrickHenry!!!!  An American who loves America and actually suggests putting America before podunk land!  I love it!!!

The only Anglos we have in Congress are the lowest lowlifes around. They are the ones willing to sell us out for jew money in order to get power.  I hope they and these jew moneybags burn in hell.  Maybe they will go hang themselves just as Judas Iscairot did.  They should.  That or putting a bullet into their brains is the only way Americans will ever be rid of them and get back a government that represents us.  And it does little good to write or call members of congress.  they’re more scared of jews and their money then they are of us.

Although I think calls may have defeated the Hate Crime Law but I’ll believe it only after its defeated again.  The thing is the the jews are relentless as a cancer.  If they don’t get it done now they will keep trying even in future generations.  Thats how they got the 1965 Immigration Act.  They are a cancer on all other people on the planet.

Its not just Congress thats in on the act.  Its the media as well.  Would Jews allow a commedian named Billy Bob to propagandize their children against Judaism and Israel?

Here is another ad on truthdig

‘Daily Show’: The Pageant of the Christ

I can only imagine what the jew jon stewart says about Christ.  The jews do nothing but attack Anglo Saxon heritage, culture and religion.  And they get away with it.  I think they should have to live in Israel among their own kind if they think they are so superior to everyone else.  If they don’t like our culture they sure as heck don’t have to stay here and we’d be better off if they left.

But it makes me angry that truthdig and every other liberal/jewish website on the left carries and supports jew propaganda against Real Americans.

I think there is a huge difference between real Americans and hyphenated Americans and I believe the latter is tearing us apart.  I think we should be actively defending ourselves against them.

You might like this web site

Kevin MacDonald has written books such as The Culture of Critique about how jews are destroying us.  I get so angry sometimes I think I could write a book.  The most discouraging thing for me is that we get deleted and chased out of all the forums while the jon stewarts and our congress and media are free to commit hate crimes against us.

Anyway I’m glad you’re there.  Talk to you later if i don’t get kicked out for a hate crime.

You make several good points here and believe me when I tell you a host regular posters and myself, routinely argue with the Israel firsters who also post here regularly over many of these same issues.

I post alot on to my congress critters who have their head so far up Israels ass they cannot see the light of day.

It is only until we can override the mass spamming by the Israeli and jewish-American zionists to the same congress critters that they will accept that there are many non-jewish opinions out there that are none to happy with their obvious racial and discrimminatory bias towards Israel and the jews which run contrary to the well being of the other 98% of non-jewish Americans.

The ads change but right now on this page is an ad for the movie “The God Who Wasn’t There”.  Newsweek states that “it irreverently makes the case that Jesus Christ never lived”.

Is this what is wrong with America?  Jews have too much power?

If anyone were to deny The Holocaust they could lose their jobs, their careers and their reputations!  But its actually become fashionable to deny Jesus Christ.

If someone denies The Holocaust in Austria, Germany, Canada, Australia and other nations they can be put into prison.  Even for suggesting that we use modern forensic technology to examine The Holocaust is considered a crime.  A Thought Crime!  Even tho we do this routinely for the Civil War and all other history.

We are told we must “Accept the Jew version of The Holocaust”.  Ironically the new Jew inspired Hate Crime Bill S90 will make it a hate crime to ask if someone has “Accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior”. But we must accept The Holocaust.

Would truthdig put an ad on their site of a movie or book denying The Holocaust.  Not on your life.  This is what is wrong with America.  This is why we are in decline.  I don’t mean that others should become Christian I just mean that Jews have WAY TOO MUCH CONTROL.  After all we were attacked on 9-11 because of our policies toward Podunk Israel.

It wouldn’t surprise me if this post is deleted after some idiot tags it because they’re offended.  Well what about the fact that someone might be offended by that ad and its content and the fact that truthdig places it on this site.

If that happened to jews they would boycott and take away ad money to get their way and not allow any criticism of jews.  I’m sick of it.

We go thru things like this flyover gate because of Jews power in our government, media and country.

Rather than continuing to debate this bs flyover gate why not take some action on behalf of dead American soldiers who did not deserve to die.

it’s not a PR stunt. It’s a “well planned” stunt to let the public depend on their so called government even more. Give people fear and they will beg you to restore “peace”.

All of them knew, it’s just another control game.

I’m not doubting that there were at least a few leaders who were notified pretty late in the game to be able to do anything about it; and, even if they had raised hell about it, the originators pretty much had their minds made up, so it’s probable a few persons “in the know” were only “last-minute afterthoughts”. In defense of one or two senior AF leaders, I have to give them their dues.  However, there’s still 2 or 3 persons in the higher echelon who should be raked over the coals for this childish PR stunt.

For Mr. Caldera’s information, the DoD has highly sophisticated Photo-Labs which could have cut and pasted a digitalized replica of his boneheaded photo-op which would have been more efficient and cost effective. Unfortunately beauracrats on Capitol Hill try to find every excuse to spend tax-payer money.

“...Last week, Mr. Obama ordered a deputy chief of staff, Jim Messina, to review the incident. And on Friday afternoon, a seven-page review of the matter was released, along with the photograph.

Mr. Messina, in his memorandum to the president, said that “structural and organizational ambiguities” in the White House Military Office led to a series of miscommunications and senior aides to the president were not advised of the flyover that had been in the planning stages since March.”

“structural and organizational ambiguities” in the White House Military Office???...Dear God, is this the best line of “it” (translate: smoke-n-mirrors generalities that aren’t fooling anyone) he could come up with?...Miscommunications?...please. No…I don’t think so.  Way too many senior leaders were in on this weeks before it happened.  IT SEEMS AT LEAST ONE OF THESE MANY “LEADERS” “in the know” as the article reported should have seriously questioned this and in quick order.  THIS IS DISILLUSIONING.  And heartbreaking when you place your faith and admiration in them.

I especially liked the spin-control government’s wording, e.g., “ambiguities and structural” issues quoted…Dear God, if that isn’t a load of it.  You can squat on that one & grow some mushrooms.  Full of it!  Ambiguities and structural integrity?...How about THE PETER PRINCIPLE in full glory?  A class of elementary school children could have predicted the outcome of such an absurd decision to begin with, regardless of it being “scape-goated” on Caldera or truly being a “team effort” with the high rollers slapping “high 5s” for such a “great idea”.

According to the AP:

“Local officials had been notified in advance. But it was a shock to New Yorkers who looked up to see the Boeing 747 and its fighter jet escort flying near the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan’s financial district, a terrifying reminder of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in which jets brought down the two towers of the World Trade Center.

The Federal Aviation Administration told local officials in advance of the flight, but asked them not to disclose it to the public, the White House report said. There was a prepared statement for the FAA’s New York regional office and for the Air Force in Washington to release if anyone called to ask about the flight.”

The White House report, which did not address officials’ conduct outside the White House, portrayed Caldera as deaf to concerns. After the flight, Caldera met with top administration officials and was asked if the White House had been notified. “The director responded yes, someone had mentioned it to him,” according to the report.

Local officials knew about the flyover and “portrayed Caldera as deaf to concerns.  Why would the FAA tell anyone not to “disclose it to the public”, it wasn’t as if the President was onboard.

According to The Washington Post:

“Gates wrote that the flyover had been planned for weeks and coordinated with the Federal Aviation Administration liaisons in the region, air traffic control representatives and tower supervisors. The FAA notified the office of New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg (I), the U.S. Park Police, the New York Police Department and other local agencies three days before the flight.

But, Gates added, “I am concerned that this highly public and visible mission did not include an appropriate public affairs plan nor adequate review and approval by senior Air Force and [Department of Defense] officials.”

Well I hope he’s “concerned”, lets have a little of that “Americans are gripped with concern” rhetoric that’s being spewed regarding our elusive “pandemic”.

Now if Wall street could do the same with all the CEO’s and their underlings giving back their bonuses and resigning for making bad investment choices.

Give me a break.  This farce is simply a diversion so the public outrage can be channeled in a harmless direction rather than everyone calling for Jane Harmon’s neck on a platter because she is a spy inside our government.  Spies can get away with anything as long as their jews or israelis.  This is what we should be outraged about.

This is a media generated flygate.  They can bait the public into getting upset over anything and thats all they’re good for.

People in NYC shouldn’t be such flaming cowards or the rest of us will think that NYC is not all its cracked up to be.  They should show a little more initiative in forcing a real investigation into who was behind 9-11 which was probably Israel and the Neocons.

The government could be testing to see just how scared Americans are so they could gauge what they can do to us next or what they need to do to get us to go along with the next Middle East holocaust against Israel’s enemies - Iran.

This is BS.

Something which is actually important to us - this link -  PLEASE help disseminate it all around the internet!

From the report:

“On Saturday, April 25, Colonel Turner sent a detailed email that described the planned flyover to
General Arthur Lichte, commander of the Air Force Air Mobility Command. The email stated:
“Secretary Caldera and George Mulligan have both ‘blessed’ this event. They were to brief Jim
Messina and Robert Gibbs for their awareness only. I wanted to make sure you were fully in the
information loop.”
The email further stated that Colonel Turner had “sent a press release” to Air
Force public affairs personnel “in the event there are any media queries” and that the “FAA
Public Affairs office in New York is poised to answer any/all questions that arise from the New
York/New Jersey area.”

The flyover of lower Manhattan occurred as planned the morning of Monday, April 27.”

Well… there’s one clue.  The question is, how many were involved, and who ordered the “mistakes” to happen?  It certainly seems that Colonel Turner and the Deputy Director were very “involved”.

You have to see the “trademark” of certain Republicans in this.  To consider the current crisis, the new administration, the questions regarding 9/11, the “blessing” and the corruption of the past administration and not see it is to be blind.

I’m not updated regarding planes, although I do take pictures so I was curious as to how low you would have to fly a plane to get a good picture of it next to the Statue of Liberty.  Yet, according to the report:  “The Director stated that he had no idea that the plan called for the aircraft to fly at 1,000 feet; he feels terrible that the flight had caused harm; and he believes that the White House needed to apologize.”

You would think that these professionals would at least have had a clue….. right?

Look on the bright side. At least he sent two jetfighters to guard airforce one. On 9/11 the CIA never sent one jetfighter to escort airforce one even though both Towers had already been hit. The devil’s always in the detail, isn’t it?

With his photo-op going front page news, Louis Caldera typifies the hubris on Capitol Hill, another bureaucrat ready to spend hundreds of thousand dollars of tax-payer money on something that DoD could have cut and pasted in a photo-lab.
