Truthdig Nominated for Best Political Site in Best Political Year

We are honored and humbled to be nominated for a 2009 Webby Award, especially since it’s in the politics category and this last year was about as exciting as it gets, politically. We’re in great company and we need your help to win this thing. Please take a minute to click here and vote for us.

We couldn’t have gotten this recognition without the support of our readers and the hard work of our writers. A special shout-out to Bill Boyarsky, the veteran political reporter who hit the road for us to cover the election like nobody’s business from way outside the echo chamber.

A special shout-out to Bill Boyarsky, the veteran political reporter who hit the road for us to cover the election like nobody’s business from way outside the echo chamber.

Boyarsky is one of the WORST contributors on this site, he missed the mark in all of his pieces and was never able to see beyond the two party paradigm. Hedges gave a far more incisive analysis of the ‘08 campaign and did it without all the ultra-zionist propaganda.

Maybe Truthdig shouldn’t win so they could stay more humble and perhaps get back to their more progressive roots, they have been posting a lot of hogwash recently. I come here to read Hedges, Fisk, and sometimes Amy Goodman. Mr. Fish is the most progressive voice here and I’m glad he’s still around. The funny thing is, most the user comments are far more informative and poignant than what most the contributors have to say.

I am taking this opportunity to vote Truthdig for the 2009
webby award.

Well deserved to say the least and the most.
