McCain and Leno

The ’08 presidential election is long over, but the drama that a certain folksy governor from Alaska unleashed into John McCain’s world might still rankle him, considering McCain’s perhaps purposeful omission of Sarah Palin from the list of up-and-coming Republicans he trotted out for Jay Leno Monday night.

The Tonight Show:

CNN:

“We have, I’m happy to say, a lot of voices out there,” McCain told host Jay Leno before listing Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Utah Gov. Jim Huntsman, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, and Florida Gov. Charlie Crist.

“There are a lot of governors out there who are young and dynamic,” said the Arizona senator.

McCain then quickly joked, “I’ve left out somebody’s name and I’m going to hear about it.”

McCain have a conscience? No way, has never had one and why should he start now. This guy is a complete disaster, much like baby bush. And no doubt he dissed Palin because he thought that she caused him to lose the election. We should be thankful he is not sitting in the Oval Office ordering bombs for Iran.

Good post Ed Harges.  Kinda makes you wonder, ainna’?

I love the word “ainna”, it means well,.... everything.  It’s a great “undiscovered” word.  You hav’ta love ainna.  Sometimes I imagine that it means your an asshole if’n you don’t “get” ainna.

What is it about that word that simply sends you off into that “ainna” dimension?  Reminds me of anus (kinda sorta), therefore those who simply do not comprehend “ainna”, or REFUSE to speak “in such debased tones” are simply anal retentive assholes…. of course, I can’t qualify the SPECIFICS of anal retentive asshole, at least not SPECIFICALLY.  However, some things just “go without saying…...ainna’?”

So what was McCain “not saying”?  I think he was PURPOSEFULLY ignoring “you betcha”....ainna….

This is pretty remarkable.

How can he sleep at night, knowing that he tried to elevate to the vice presidency someone whom now he cannot in good conscience even mention as a possible Republican presidential prospect for 2012?

He really, really blew it in that campaign — and I’m so glad he did.
