Jindal’s Tall Katrina TalePosted on Feb 27, 2009
If Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal could have one career do-over, he might opt to use it on the speech he gave Tuesday. Not only did his performance induce cringes on both sides of the aisle, but now, according to TPMMuckraker, it looks as if the part of his speech about Hurricane Katrina (to many the most baffling part) wasn’t exactly true.

Besides what has been mentioned here, Jindal is a Creationist. And this is not because he grew up in some isolated village in the hinterland where the only book in town was a Bible; he has had every opportunity to know better. He claims as well to have participated in an exorcism.
I have my doubts that the tide of religious fanaticism is still coming in, here or elsewhere. If it starts to ebb, the non-religious-fanatical Republicans will have made a bad choice. I had hoped the elevation of McCain was a good sign, but you know what happened then.

Bobby Jindal, who may have been the suspicious person who used to live next door to you, turned up in Louisiana as Governor. Although no one has yet figured out what the Governor of Louisiana does, Governor Jindal made a case for “heroic rescuer” by claiming he saved over 350 people in the Katrina disaster.
Later, he clarified what he said by saying he saved over $350 on his auto insurance by switching to Geico.
Nevertheless, Gov. Jindal insisted that there was no family history of mental retardation.
Have I got that right?

Yeah, it’s a pretty neat trick: the Republicans point to their own failure of governance as proof that government can’t do any good; therefore, their theories are right — and therefore, we should elect more Republicans to run the government!

Yes, all government is BAD. It’s not the fault of the Bush Maladministration that all those people died. Of course not. The real problem was government itself, which is such a bad idea no one should ever try it. The government should only exist to take your tax money and use it to make their rich friends even richer and to fight manufactured wars which enrich the arms dealers thereby ensuring that there will be endless instability in the world so that there will be wars which enrich the arms dealers. It’s a perfect plan. If people like Jindal weren’t so dangerous they would be as funny.

Minorities have got to be realizing the Repugs use them as Scapegoats, distractions and very likely examples of “Told You so”.
Report thisthe Repugs seem to be intentionally choosing the worst examples for their ‘token ‘collection.
Sarah a Gov already under investigation for Abuse of Power; J The P, a hack plumber without a Biz who wants to ‘shoot’ politicians and avoid taxes; Steele Who can’t convey his thought clearly or concisely enough not to require ‘Re dos’ and Jindal who screwed the Pooch with Katrina and still hasn’t used the disaster funds to rebuild the 9th ward.
Are they Trying to Prove only white males are worthy of Leadership roles, by throwing out the idiots who think themselves the epitome of their ‘minoiritism’.
There are far better representatives of these groups, more apt and ‘connected’ to the groups reality than any of these Puppets portray.
Frankly I am becoming convinced the enlistment and ‘acceptance’ of Minorities by the White Christian Good Ol’ Boys Club is merely a way to undermine minorities in the eyes of the public, by choosing the weakest examples they can lure in.Oblivious to the betrayal by their Own Blind ambitions.Have a little Self respect and Respect for the Group you represent- innately or by social circumstances.

Clown Jindal has now taken the mantle from Sarah Palin and he is running to the cover of Mad Magazine to stand next to his twin—Alfred E. Newman. This guy is a total moron. Clown of the Year—Bobby Jindal

It is worrisome in a real world sense how Republicans can’t seem to distinguish reality from the fantasy world they project through their speeches and policy

This weirdly simpering, preposterously fatuous, lacquered little twerp is the GOP’s biggest threat to Obama in ‘08?

Is this the best the repugs have to offer for 2012? An Indian trying to impersonate Sarah Palin?
He should aim higher, like Hughey Long!
