Bristol Palin: Abstinence-Only Plan Doesn’t WorkPosted on Feb 17, 2009
Last fall, Bristol Palin became a controversial figure in her mother Sarah Palin’s vice presidential bid when it was revealed, not long after the elder Palin took to the campaign trail, that the teenaged Bristol was pregnant by her high school boyfriend. Now Bristol has re-emerged to make a few comments that run against her mom’s approach to teen sex ed.

Sarah and Todd have a rather bizarre view on choice, but not unusual. They want choice to be illegal for everyone, but they want their daughter to have a choice. Would they have backed her had she decided not to have the baby?
No plans to marry Levi, but they are engaged. My guess is he doesn’t have health care and if she stays on her dad’s then she and the baby are both covered.

to tobias…..The POINT is-no sex-keep her legs together-don’t do “the wild thing”-no “freakin”-in other words…....ABSTAIN from having sexual intercourse….and this girl was allowed to go out and get “knocked up”.....ALLOWED because her mother was to busy “playing POLITICIAN” to be aware of her childs LACK OF KNOWLEDGE and LACK OF CONCERN for the CONSEQUENCES her actions…..And she probably FELL FOR that old line “I know you love me if you let me” or “all our friends are doin it” or “I’ll use protection”.
Report thisBristol CAN"T say she DID NOT KNOW THE CONSEQUENCES of indulging in sexual intercourse.Even if “protection” was employed-there could have been problems-Pregnancy or an STD come to mind….She MUST[statistically] know one or more teens in the same situation..And-I’m sure- her religious [supposed] parents are AGAINST ABORTION.
Bristol Palin DID NOT PRACTICE ABSTINENCE…She COULD NOT have gotten pregnant.Would not have gotten pregnant.
I know “ole moose turd” wants us to believe SHE is a special person-destined for “BIG THINGS”....
But her daughter ain’t the VIRGIN MARY and LEVI ain’t the reincarnation of JESUS….And this ain’t NO VIRGIN BIRTH…..These kids had SEX and now there is a baby…..That is HOW ANIMALS REPRODUCE…..

The point is Tobias, it’s the hypocrisy. OK? Get it now? Those who preach no sex, then go out and do it and have babies out of wedlock…see?
It’s about the hypocrisy. People don’t like being preached to by people that can’t bother to follow their own preachings.
It’s like Republicans, who ran up the national debt and spent more than any other Congress in the 8 years of the Bush administration, now telling us how bad it is to spend money on a stimulus package that could help people who have been laid off and are losing their homes through no fault of their own.
Get it? Getting through to you now? HYPOCRISY or HYPOCRITE. That’s how you spell right wing religious conservative Republicans who espouse abstinance only as some type of workable solution in today’s world.

Has anyone actually *watched* the noted video? Seriously? See, the media is playing this big hype game because someone who argues for abstinence education had it happen to them. Now, because it didn’t work here, the argument is made that it won’t work anywhere.
I tried, I really tried to think better of the media, but just follow the link and (inside the full article) there is a link which says, quote: “Watch Bristol Palin say that abstinence is ‘not realistic at all’”
Just go watch the clip that it links to. Go, do it real quick.
Now tell me: Did Bristol Palin say that? Really? Because I was listening pretty hard and I didn’t hear it. I’m not saying she couldn’t have said it somewhere else, and I’m not saying that Bristol *didn’t* say it, but if you are trying to make a serious argument against a reasonably popular theory, you should *take the other side seriously*.
Anyway, the media is making this out to be some big proof against abstinence education, but using this as an argument is a flop. I mean, there are a few valid arguments against the idea I suppose, but if you don’t use the *valid* ones, you make yourself look like an idiot. Like CNN did.

I have no sympathy for this girl-her boyfriend-the Palins-the boys parents-none of them…..They brought this on with their teaching-or lack thereof…their morals-or lack therof..
and the Adults were being just to busy to pay attention to what the CHILDREN were doing….
In Sarahs case-she was to busy playing politician….
In the boys moms case-she was to busy making/selling drugs….
