Nearly three months after Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sent then-President-elect Obama a congratulatory note, the State Department is still working on a response. Snail mail, indeed. The Guardian reports that the letter will be “aimed at unfreezing US-Iranian relations and opening the way for face-to-face talks.”

Apparently there are three drafts of the letter, which could either be sent to the Iranian people, Iran’s supreme leader or no one in particular. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is said to be reviewing the document.

The Guardian via Political Wire:

Officials of Barack Obama’s administration have drafted a letter to Iran from the president aimed at unfreezing US-Iranian relations and opening the way for face-to-face talks, the Guardian has learned.

The US state department has been working on drafts of the letter since Obama was elected on 4 November last year. It is in reply to a lengthy letter of congratulations sent by the Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on 6 November.

Diplomats said Obama’s letter would be a symbolic gesture to mark a change in tone from the hostile one adopted by the Bush administration, which portrayed Iran as part of an “axis of evil”.

I can confirm Fadel Abdullah’s accusation that the Jewish lobby has not allowed Obama to respond to the friendly note from Ahmadinejad simply asking for a U.S. apology for all its crimes against the Iranian people. I know this because I am on the committee that controls Obama. Unfortunately we could not meet in time because we were debriefing Bernard Madoff about his attempt to bring down the world economy on behalf of the Jews so we could replace the American dollar bill with on prominently displaying the Star of David.

Look, Amen-jihad is the best possible scenario for Bushco- if Iran had a leader who was well mannered and willing to negotiate, it would be alot harder to instill bad PR about the good people of Iran.  The more sh+t that the white house stirs the better reaction they will get.  A ranting dictator is much easier to justify a war with, to “free” the Iranian civilians.

Fadel’s got it right. Israel’s minions are all in a tizzy that Obama may write a letter which will impede their plans for war against Iran. They have to make sure that the letter is sufficiently belligerent and offensive, so that the possibility of not going to war will be averted.

Just a note on the picture accompanying this item!

I think the illustrator/artist who drew this picture has gotten it wrong by showing Obama writing with his right hand, when, in fact, Obama is a left-handed writer!

We don’t have to like Islam to realize that we must deal with them from reality and not prejudge what can be achieved. To the extent that Obama succeeds in an effort to redirect our goals, without animosity more power to him.

I believe that the reason behind this “snail mail” pace to respond to the Iran’s letter is related to the need to get such letter cleared through the different layers of Zionist control over Obama’s administration!
There is no other explanation in light of the fact that such highly rhetorical person as Obama, with great command of sugar-coated language, would need such long time to respond to a letter sent three months ago!

His inaugeral speech may have put a stake in Ahmadi’s political heart.
Most Iranians are far more moderate then Bush dared admit. Of course Iran was always his goal to gain control of oil in the M.E. for his Saudi,Kuwaiti and dubia Masters. Get your foot in the door in Afghanistan, move your chess peice into Iraq and then Cry ‘Check mate’ with Iran. big surprise when two Oil men whores Steal the White House.
Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran were Red herring, while pointing a finger at Iran, the American Bankers and investors were boosting our sovereignty out the back door.“Axis of Evil” did happen to Matthantan, it resided there. The real ‘Terrorist Camps’ are not in the M.E., They are located on WallStreet.Gitmo shouldn’t be a Gulag for M.E ers, it should be the perpetual residence of the financial industries CEO’s and Boardmembers- Surf’s Up Kiddo’s!
