NBC has been taking heat for scheduling a book-pushing session with Ann Coulter, but according to the author, her “Today” show appearances have been canceled. Drudge adds that “insiders” at the Peacock say the network has banned ol’ skin and bones for good, though that seems too good to be true.

From Huffpo’s update below, it seems like Coulter got bumped and made a federal case about it.

Huffington Post:

Coulter was a guest on the Fox News show “Hannity and Colmes” tonight, where she harshly criticized NBC for canceling her planned appearance on the “Today” show. The controversial author accused the network of orchestrating a “set up to block me from other TV shows.”

Coulter was reportedly offered a spot on Wednesday’s show but she shrugged off the offer: “I think I’ll accept and then cancel at the last minute.”

Drudge Report:

The nation’s top selling conservative author has been banned from appearing on NBC, insiders tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

“We are just not going to have her on any more, it’s over,” a top network source explains.

She is a product, albeit one with no useful purpose—and seditous at best—of American free market economy: Find a sucker and take their money.

We have no shortage of suckers in America.

Love the bag over her head, but it should have been a body bag.

No offense to female impersonators!

NBC finally did the right thing in not allowing her on the TODAY show!  The finally showed a spine!  I am soooooo tired of hearing the Republican whine - whether it be from Coulter, Krautheimer, Kristol, or any other blow-hard!  Enough is enough!!!

I think Rachel Maddow said it best: “Ann Coulter needs publicity the way a tape worm needs a large intestine.”

Coulter is the dingle berry of a neocon mafia style power base that nearly destroyed our country and still continues to spread its lies to the ignorance that receive it. Just like Bill O, Hannity and Rush vomitting in their microphones making millions of dollars lying and spreading fear and racism to all the red necks in our country.

Coulter probably doesnt care—she got her money from neo-cons fools. That is all she was ever really about.

Last thing I heard is that NBC has reversed course and His/Her (as the case may be) Hysterical Shrieking Eminence will be a featured guest on “Today” tomorrow.  I hope I’m wrong.

This woman (single), really has got some cahones!  In Thomas Franks book “Whats the Matter with Kansas” where he details the supposed victim-hood of Conservatives in order to win votes from the un-intelligent masses around the country, Coulter steals his argument (though not very convincing), and turns it on it’s head as if Liberals are claiming to be victims.

This woman, (I really think she’s a “sleestak” [see Land of the Lost tv series] doesn’t have a clue as to reality.  Like Dubya, she spouts off whatever comes to mind, and resorts to name calling of people she doesn’t like;  a true Republican!

Too bad Coulter will not be able to hawk her next piece of shrill, inflammatory garbage on NBC anymore.  Why anyone would let this preening, toxic narcissist ever do that in the first place has always escaped me.  Anyway, it will offer Drudge and other righties of similar pathology to indulge in high dungeon and pompous outrage yet again.  They are good at that. I saw a televised therapy session early today with that outraged, blonde harpy received sympathetic support by a nodding, loving circle of “Fox and Friends.”  Whatever…..

if ever the “corporate media elite” considered her to be of use it is because she made you flinch. what passes for her power is the weakness of anyone who would be cowed by her. she is a liar and a fool. ignore it and it will go away.

Best wishes to Ms. Coulter for a life of obscurity and solitude ... one in which the only words she is allowed to hear are her own ... looped endlessly

will she never hear a kind word again?

Coulter has never in her life said anything true, it would be criminal to continue to give her air time.

If the corporate media elite has decided that this vicious Gorgon has outlived her usefulness, she’ll disappear—unmourned and unlamented as yesterday’s fart.

Unless she’s kept alive by artificial means for a little while on the FOX network, home of has-been ghouls.

My favorite transvestite (I apologize to other transvestites and regret having to involve you in this comment) reinvents history and most other talking points she clings to. “She” should marry Rush Limpdick and ride of into the sunset! In the words of my favorite FOXite, she should just SHUT UP!

It’s over…  Why now?  Why is it that the invited guests change with the changing of the political party in power?

She should never have been a guest on a fair minded news program to begin with.  For that reason I refuse to grant NBC any kudos for this move.  It was the right thing to do, but only after they did the wrong thing by ever having her on there.

It’s one thing to invite opposing viewpoints.  In our democracy it is vital.  It isn’t so much that she is a conservative as it is the nasty shameful manner in which she delivers her message.  She is the ultimate agent of divisiveness in this country.  Worse than Limbaugh or Falwell or Dobson.

I was just thinking the other day that it had been awhile since I’d seen anything of her in the news.  I can only hope the other news orgs follow suit.  Fox would not, but I never watch that program anyway.
