Bill Clinton will not stand in the way of his wife becoming Barack Obama’s secretary of state. The former president has agreed to nine conditions. Most notably, he will release the names of the 208,000 donors to his foundation and will submit future speeches and business deals to State Department and White House ethics reviews.

New York Times via Political Wire:

The former president’s web of business and charitable activities raised questions about how he could continue to travel the world soliciting multimillion-dollar contributions for his foundation and collecting six-figure speaking fees for himself from foreign organizations and individuals while his wife conducted American foreign policy.

Lawyers for Mr. Clinton and Mr. Obama spent days crafting the agreement in hopes of addressing any concerns about Mr. Clinton’s activities. He had previously said he would do whatever the Obama transition team asked in order to make it possible for his wife to serve without questions. Mr. Obama’s team said it was satisfied that the concessions Mr. Clinton made should defuse any potential controversy. Until Saturday, only some elements of the agreement had become public.

Hi Anar-peace,

While i was in Jerusalem, Dr. Rashidi Khaladi spoke about how ludicrous it is to enough talk one or two states at this time.

The ISSUE is we must END THE OCCUPATION

WE the People of America are CULPABLE in the 41 year military occupation of indigenous people by virtue of how and where our Big Brother lays our hard earned tax dollars down.

PLEASE LEARN ALL ABOUT IT:

http://ifamericansknew.org/

PLEASE understand that Security for Israel requires COMMON SENSE!

“Soon after I had published the pamphlet “Common Sense” [on Feb. 14, 1776] in America, I saw the exceeding probability that a revolution in the system of government would be followed by a revolution in the system of religion… The world is my country, all mankind are my brethren, and to do good is my religion.”-Tom Paine

Common Sense sees the way to security and peace is through the door of Justice:

JUSTICE MEANS EQUAL HUMAN RIGHTS FOR ALL

seems to me that we are living Orwell’s “1984” nightmare NOW

Our Big Brother -Govt. and Corporate Media erected walls of propaganda by manipulating citizens with FEAR of ‘the other’

Remember Pogo: “We have seen the enemy and he is US”

US as in USA lust for empire, power, control that erupted in neo-con ideology and unholy and warped with the fundamental and corrupt anti-Christ Christianity of John Hagee and his ilk.

BTW-The term ‘Christian’ was not even coined until the days of Paul, about 3 decades after Jesus:

AKA: The Prince of Peace- promised it is the peacemakers who are the children of God, NOT those that bomb, torture or occupy others.

2,000 years ago The Cross had NO symbolic religious meaning and was not a piece of jewelry.

When JC said: “Pick up your cross and follow me” everyone THEN understood he was issuing a POLITICAL statement, for the main roads into Jerusalem were lined with crucified agitators, rebels, dissidents and any who disturbed the status quo of the Roman Empire and Military Occupying Forces.

Jesus, while never a Christian, was a social, justice, radical revolutionary Palestinian devout Jewish road warrior who rose up against the corrupt Temple authorities and challenged their job security by teaching the people they did NOT need to pay the priests for ritual baths or sacrificing livestock to be OK with God; for God LOVED them just as they were:

Sinners, poor, diseased, outcasts, widows, orphans, refugees and prisoners all living under the Roman Empire and Military Occupation.

What got JC crucified was disturbing the status quo of the Roman Empire and Occupying Forces by teaching the subversive concept that God preferred the humble sinner, the poor, diseased, outcasts, widows, orphans, refugees and prisoners all living under the Roman Empire and Military Occupation above the elite and arrogant.

The early followers and lovers of Jesus were called members of THE WAY-being THE WAY he taught one should be to do what God requires.

“What does God require? He has told you o’man! Be just, be merciful, and walk humbly with your Lord.” -Micah 6:8

IMAGINE when Christians and Jews BOTH do that!

By eileen fleming,

The Palestinians have been made to pay the price for the sins of The Third Reich.

BUT the great news is that International Pressure is mounting fueled by the rapidly spreading global NONVIOLENT International Solidarity Movement.

_________________________________

You may be right; I have never been to Israel. I do qualify to be a citizen by the law of return; because my father and grandparents on my fathers side are Jews.

I did read an article; about how the Palestinians and Jews, Christians, etc. lived in peace, but all the sudden—terrorists moved in the neighborhood,  and guns shots became the norm on the streets, so that is when the terrorists—in one day—took over a civilized political system.

How can the pacifists make the country peaceful; when the terrorists are in control of the government?

Gandhi was able to do it—bring about a non-violent revolution,—because the people wanted the British out. I do not see the Palestinians (even if they wanted to as having the power of Gandhi’s non-violent army—to change the MIC Palestinian complex).

In other words,  do the Palestinians really want the terrorists out; and, if they did could they make that “public” without fear of being shot?

Hell, we live in a free democracy, in the USA,  and polticians are too afraid to even talk out against the MIC for fear of being shot—like JFK was. They can’t even mention the word liberal.

JFK was proud of liberals, and was one himself.

That same MIC (Bush, Obama, Gates, Hillary etc.) is going to bring a peaceful— two state—reconciliation of differences?

I could be wrong; I have never been to the Middle East, and have never spoken to any people there. My only knowledge of the Middle East is from the infomercial news reports, and a few unpublished books, I read about the source of the infomercials, when they first started to be on the TV screen, after World War II.

Why not just create one state called Isreal, with a city called Palestine?

Dear Anar-peace,

We are not dealing with two equals here.

The Palestinians have been made to pay the price for the sins of The Third Reich.

The indigenous Palestinians have been getting screwed from all sides for eons; the Turks, The Brits and then all the corrupt and lame Arab leadership, up against Zionist fueled military might and the Industrial Military Media Surveillance Complex:

http://www.wearewideawake.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=860&Itemid=198

The Palestinians have also become the N’s of the world.

BUT the great news is that International Pressure is mounting fueled by the rapidly spreading global NONVIOLENT International Solidarity Movement.

NONVIOLENT activists give up weeks and months of their time and have grown into a global movement that will NOT be stopped or silenced and they are the ones providing we the people with the BAD PR for Israel: THE TRUTH!

These NONVIOLENT activists-such as Rachel Corrie- are the New Fourth Estate as well as the Conscience to the World.

ISM, Free Gaza Movement, Anarchists Against the Wall and many other Palestinian-Israeli-International NONVIOLENT activists are leading the way leaders must go:

END the Occupation and Bring Down The Apartheid Wall.

By eileen fleming,

On November 15, 2005, Senator Hillary Clinton stood on the Jerusalem side of The Wall and was quoted in Ha’aretz, expressing support for The Wall because it “is against terrorists” and “not against the Palestinian people.”

I sort of agree with you about Hillary; but for different reasons.  As a half jew I do not support a Palestinian state; but,  I do agree with most of the dislike over the Clinton’s here. Let let explain why.

I am a ultra liberal; there was a time when I would vote the Democratic party line, as a card carrying Democrat.

I had perceived in my mind the Democrats in power as being typical Democrats;  with a back office staff of liberal Democrats from the JFK administration. It was not until the 2000 election did I wake up and vote for Nader. Well, actually, I voted for Nader and Gore by trading my Gore vote in a swing state.

At that time I was made aware that; while I was voting for Clinton he was defaming liberals; while representing Republican policies. So I left the Democratic party.

Well, about the Middle East; actually,  the Hillary and the Obama staff support a Palestinian state (secretly of course) because—without the destruction going on there; they would not have a Military-Industrial-complex.

Their support of Israel is not genuine; I’m sure the Mossad, knows it, as well. And,  the Jews won’t go there;  because don’t forget,  both the Jews and the Americans have nukes that could be used against one another.

Anyway,  the main reason; why I don’t support a Palestinian state is because the originators of that support in the US came from actual Nazi’s, whom after the war came to the US— and bribed Republican politicians, to put the Palestinian rights cause—in the main stream media.

I know for a fact; that the majority of Americans; do not generally care about; much of anything that goes on outside of its borders. They think the world revolves around them.

And as a ultra liberal pacifist; I think that the non-violent way to bring peace to the Middle East is to have all troops removed from all offshore bases, and let the Palestinian and Israeli conflict work out naturally, peacefully—between the Jews and Palestinians—without US Military (or their spokesmen Hillary, Obama, Bush, Gates etc.) Industrial Complex interference..

I’m sure JFK (a true liberal Democrat) would have a similar political philosophy as mine.

Last week, while in Israel and Occupied Palestine for the sixth time since June 2005, I heard the heart break news of the supposed President for Change, desiring the Democrat Demimondaine Hillary Clinton to be Secretary of State.

On November 15, 2005, Senator Hillary Clinton stood on the Jerusalem side of The Wall and was quoted in Ha’aretz, expressing support for The Wall because it “is against terrorists” and “not against the Palestinian people.”

After I read Senator Clinton’s inaccurate and insensitive remarks in Ha’aretz, I immediately contacted her through her website.

My email bounced back to me, for I am no longer a New York constituent.

This really got my Irish up, for I was born in The Village and came of age in Levittown, Long Island, and this makes me much more New York than Hillary will ever be.

I snail mailed Hillary a respectful letter informing her that even a little one such as me, knew all about the many gaps and lack of ‘security’ along The Wall that every taxi driver and ANY would be ‘terrorist’ also knew about in order to travel from the West Bank to Jerusalem without stopping for SECURITY.

I also reminded her that we are in the midst of the UN Decade of Creating a Culture of NONVIOLENCE for all the children of the world.

The only response I received from Senator Clinton was to be put on the DNC’s mailing list soliciting funds.

Clinton has repeatedly said, “I’ve been a strong supporter of Israel’s right to build a security barrier to keep terrorists out. I have spoken out against the International Court of Justice for questioning Israel’s right to build that fence of security.”

International Law states occupation is to be temporary and that the occupiers are not to transfer their population into occupied territory.

What RIGHT has anyone to put a fence up on somebody else’s property?

When The Wall is super-imposed on a map of Palestinian aquifers, it clearly illuminates that The Wall is all about grabbing land and resources from the indigenous peoples of the land.

“Financed with U.S. aid at a cost of $1.5 million per mile, the Israeli wall prevents residents from receiving health care and emergency medical services. In other areas, the barrier separates farmers from their olive groves which have been their families’ sole livelihood for generations.” [Washington Report on Middle East Affairs, Page 43, Jan/Feb. 2007]

In March 2006, Mordechai Vanunu sent this message and invitation to Senator Hillary Clinton Regarding The Wall

Windows Media:

Youtube:

Vanunu sent that message just a few weeks after his FREEDOM OF SPEECH Trial began-all because in 2004, he spoke to NON-Israelis who happened to be journalists, after emerging from 18 years in jail because he told the truth that Israel was already nuclear in 1985.
