Supporters of the Pakistan Labor Party hold a protest in Lahore, Pakistan, on Friday to condemn the terror attacks in Mumbai.

The already fraught relationship between neighboring nations India and Pakistan has been further complicated by the terror siege in Mumbai, in which as many as 195 people were killed and 295 wounded, according to the BBC.

BBC:

Pakistan has expressed concern about rising tensions with India following allegations that gunmen who attacked Mumbai this week had Pakistani links.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the strain in relations with India was serious but he hoped the crisis could be defused.

Speaking after an emergency cabinet meeting in the capital Islamabad, he told reporters:

“Let us not fool ourselves, it is a serious situation when the people in India feel this is 9/11 for India.

“I think as a responsible elected government, we cannot be oblivious of the seriousness of the situation.”

Calling some one a liar without having the decency as well as proof that they are reflects not only an immature reaction but also an irrational one.

It is common decency and courtesy to call some one a liar when one has irrefutable proof of the specific lie.

You ask an ordinary hindu or muslim .. he wouldn’t even think what u guys have posted. They are simple ppl who live by their religion( which promotes peace) and never think of all these complexities. They have love for each other.

But it is the ppl in power who promote communal hatred for their advantage. So please don’t spread hatred by posting nonsense. Spread words of love and peace.

FT and ITW, you’ve made your points - albeit coming from different directions.

My comment was prompted by the Mumbai rebels targeting, among others, those carrying Jewish/Isaraeli passports and a Jewish Center. Asking myself why I recalled Sharon’s publicized weapons deal with India, a provocative move, a move to antagonize Muslims.  (Much like his ‘march’ on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem shortly after his election was certain to antagonize Muslims.)

Perhaps this explains my ‘red flag’ paragraph.

David Ben Gurion Quote is yet another of the hundreds of fabriocations that swirl around the net.

There never was an August 9 Jewish Chronicle edition and a simple search through their archives will prove this to anyone who actually cares to know the difference beweetn the truth and a lie

Inherit is quite right.  Israel and the US want India to ally with them against the Muslims in the War on Terrorism.

The present terrorist incident might be a false flag operation, as the 9/11-anthrax homicide was, to shock India public opinion to support an attack on Pakistan and the Taliban in Afghanisan.
************************************

FT, now you are getting moronic.  Can’t you do basic arithmetic???  How many Muslims are there in Pakistan?  How many Muslims are there in India?  Answers? 165 million and 151 million—or 315+ millions.  So….the giant population advantage of India over Pakistan is down to just over 3:1…so a major war with Pakistan and slaughtering Muslims would be disastrous for India…and don’t forget the nukes and M.A.D.

Yes, the US and Israel DO want India for an ally—and vice versa.  But that doesn’t mean to MAKE a war, but, rather to prevent one.

You need to wake up, grow up, and face reality.

Great quote Omop.  Apparantly it has been long term Zionist policy to support India against Pakistan.

Came across the following on an asian website covering this tragedy;

“there is a concerted effort to split Pakistan into two states by certain western interests whose aims are derived from policies announced publicly several years back. And they quote a Statement issued by David Ben Gurion, the first Israeli Prime Minister, as printed in the Jewish Chronicle, 9 August 1967:

β€œThe world Zionist movement should not be neglectful of the dangers of Pakistan to it. And Pakistan now should be its first target, for this ideological State is a threat to our existence. And Pakistan, the whole of it, hates the Jews and loves the Arabs.

This lover of the Arabs is more dangerous to us than the Arabs themselves. For that matter, it is most essential for the world Zionism that it should now take immediate steps against Pakistan.

Whereas the inhabitants of the Indian peninsula are Hindus whose hearts have been full of hatred towards Muslims, therefore, India is the most important base for us to work therefrom against Pakistan.

It is essential that we exploit this base and strike and crush Pakistanis, enemies of Jews and Zionism, by all disguised and secret plans.”

Felicity brings the ONE point forward that proves my contention that Israel has NO desire or interest in de-stabilizing India, that just the opposite is true: Israel wants India stabilized and strong as necessary for Israel’s national security.

So why did Ariel Sharon, or one of his top representatives, make a special and well publicized trip to India a while back to secure a massive sale of Israeli arms to that country?  Was its purpose to piss off Muslim Pakistan or just Muslims in general?  Perhaps it has finally succeeded.

America, Israel and a few other belligerents need to realize that bulls, sooner or later, will charge men stupid enough to wave red flags in front of them.

This India thing is smelling like the same “Rat” that caused 911. Ist clue could be the only clear picture of a gunman “IN ACTION” is the only one that got “Caught” AND he just happens to be from Pakistan. 2nd clue is that “India’s 911” line of propaganda. 3rd clue: The head (counter terrorism) guys got “killed” at the start of the attack. It’s like sending Chertoff to lead the first assault. Question this!! The Jewish angle!?! The American/British passport thing, It’s all too neat and tidy. India is one of the only countries that is not in “Desperate” financial trouble from the world recession.  See who pushes the security/war drum agenda and understand my concerns. India’s Prime Minister seems kind of “slow” to me. (reminds me of someone else we know!?!)
