Those famous “multiple Democratic sources close to the transition” have revealed three more members of Barack Obama’s Cabinet: Former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle as secretary of health and human services, Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano as chief of homeland security and Obama’s billionaire buddy and top fundraiser Penny Pritzker to head the Commerce Department.

Update: Looks like Pritzker has other fish to fry.

CNN:

President-elect Barack Obama’s top choice for secretary of homeland security is Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano, multiple Democratic sources close to the transition told CNN on condition of anonymity.

Also, multiple Democratic sources say billionaire Chicago businesswoman Penny Pritzker is Obama’s choice for commerce secretary.

Obama has chosen former Sen. Tom Daschle to be Secretary of Health and Human Services, and the former Senate majority leader has indicated he wants the job, three sources close to the transition told CNN Wednesday.

Abolish the so-called ” Homeland Security Dept.”....It was a construct of this administration that has used it to ratchet up the fear, has done nothing to make us more “secure” and has expanded the size of an already bloated and non-functioning goverment. Abolishing this department as well as the “Patriot Act are two of the first things that should be done to start our return to sanity. Thats right after Bush and Cheney are indicted I mean…that should be the first order of buisness.

The ‘Bama’ has a “billionaire buddy” named Penny Pincher? Wow, figure the irony in that turn of events. What’s that? Her name is “Pritzker?” Well color me shamefully incorrect and needing a ‘bailout’.

http://www.democracynow.org has Jeremy Scahill discussing with Amy Goodman about this transition team….Agents of change, Hawks, Clintonites and Neocons that are coming into Obama´s team.  It seems that America´s foreign policy really hasn´t changed during the past 3 presidents and it may not with Obama´s.  Please click and watch. Quite disturbing!

This does not look good. This business about Pritzker reveals that the Obama camp is greasing the way for his insider Chicago connections. First Rahm Emanuel, now penny Pritzker… do I sense a pattern here?

From Wiki, Penny Pritzker:

Pritzker contributed some $493,174[9] to numerous campaigns and political action committees since the 2000 election cycle. Among the recipients have been the presidential campaigns and exploratory committees, including those of George W. Bush, Joe Lieberman, Bill Bradley, Rudy Giulani, John McCain (2000), Al Gore, John Kerry and Hillary Clinton.

Since the spring of 2008, Pritzker has served as Barack Obama’s National Finance Chair. On Wednesday July 2, 2008, Ms. Pritzker and her husband hosted a $28,500 per plate fundraiser for Mr. Obama’s campaign in Chicago with Warren Buffet and his wife, and Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett.

She is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Ms. Pritzker has been associated with the Subprime mortgage crisis. Ms. Pritzker’s late uncle, Jay Pritzker, purchased a 50% stake in Hinsdale, Illinois-based Superior Bank of Chicago in 1989 from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, which had taken over the bank when it failed in the late 1980s. Penny Pritzker became chairman of the bank in 1991. Under Ms. Pritzker’s chairmanship, the bank “embarked on a business strategy of significant growth into subprime home mortgages,” according to a 2002 report by the United States Treasury Department. She stepped down from the chairmanship (a largely titular role) in 1994 but continued to serve on the board of the holding company, Coast to Coast. In the months leading up to the 2001 seizure, the Pritzker family tried to work out a major recapitalization plan to “once again restore Superior’s leadership position in subprime lending.

From Wiki, Tom Daschle:

“Daschle is married to Linda Hall, who was acting administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration in the Clinton administration. She is one of Washington’s top lobbyists. Her lobbying clients over the past year included American Airlines, Lockheed Martin and Boeing....

“....Daschle has not made intentions clear as to whether or not he will run again for office; however, he has signed on as a Senior Policy Advisor with the K Street law firm Alston & Bird. Health care interests, including CVS Caremark, the National Association for Home Care and Hospice, Abbott Laboratories and HealthSouth, are among the firm’s lobbying clients. The firm was paid $5.8 million between January and September 2008 to represent companies and associations before Congress and the executive branch, with 60 percent of that money coming from the health industry.”

Janet Napolitano looks to be a more reasonable choice, nothing “jumps out at you” on a simple google search….at least not yet…..
