Perhaps because he’s already looking forward to 2012, or maybe because he had some pages to fill in his brand new book, erstwhile Republican presidential contender Mike Huckabee is once again taking issue with Mitt Romney and questioning his rival’s commitment to conservative politics.

Jonathan Martin in Politico:

Romney, Huckabee writes, was “anything but conservative until he changed the light bulbs in his chandelier in time to run for president.”

At another point, Huckabee portrays a Romney proposal to encourage more investment in the market as, “Let them eat stocks!”

I know something about Mitt Romney—he’s a natural-born problem solver. He understands economics and knows how to turn an economic loser into an economic winner. We need his type in politics; our economy would prosper if Mitt were at the helm. My question is, can he win a presidential election? I wonder if he is hard-bitten enough. I fear he is too much a gentleman to prevail in presidential politics. He has some other weak links, the big one is his faith—America is leaning so far Left now that any faithful man is considered contemptible, and then Mormonism is a favorite target of religious bigots of every stripe (Huckabee). No matter how good Mitt’s politics may be, there are those who will hate him because of his faith. Religeous bigotry is much like racial bigotry—elements of it pop up sometimes in the most surprising places.

Huckabee’s hatred for Romney looks bad on him, and reflects badly on all conservatives. Bigotry is ugly no matter who practises it, and I say it diminishes Mike Huckabee and reveals his seamy, rancid underbelly. He’d be good if it weren’t for the burning hatred inside him.

I challenge you to find anything that Romney has said personally derogatory regarding Huckabee.
I think this book illustrates the smallness and bigotry of the man. It amazes me that FOX would have him on.

Huckabee is the perfect example of what is wrong with the republican party.  This is nothing more then a publicity stunt for him to get the word out about his new TV show.  The only future Huckabee has is as a replacement for Jerry Springer, and that is about all the responsibility I would be willing to give the man.

I’m glad people realize what a loon Huckabee is.  He’s just plain crazy and it’s scary how many people blindly agree with everything he says.  Please don’t screw up the 2012 primaries, Mike, like you did this election.

I wonder if Huckabee mentions in his book about the time he was in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1998 at an anti-Mormon rally, under the auspices of the Southern Baptist Convention.
This is the culprit who is the main reason why Mitt Romney was defeated and why we will continue to be in an economic tailspin for years to come. Mitt is the only intellegent candidate of the whole group, who would have been able to get us out of this economic tailspin. His accomplishments are far beyond any of the other candidates’. Huckabee is all about himself. He is an egomaniac. He is a liar.

Let me tell you a bit about Mr. Mitt Romney. I had the distinct privelage to meet him on a few occasions and followed his campaign closely.

In simple terms, Mitt Romney will be one of the men at the forefront to a new, conservative-once again-GOP.

Men like Mike Huckabee will be the ones who weep and whine becasuse they know that they will amount to little more as a weak excuse for a conservative politician.

Mike Huckabee is using a card in politics the founding fathers never intended, that of religion.

Choice of religion and the defined lines of separation of church and state are some of the most cherished rights Americans enjoy, and paranoid, powerhungry morons like Mike Huckabee will stir up issues like that with Mr. Romney’s religious CHOICE to compensate for their complete lack of value in the political realm.

Mitt Romney is the new face of a much needed united GOP.

Romney and Huckabee, a couple likeable loony tunes I don’t want to see anywhere near my White House.

Huckabee thinks God endorsed him for President.  That’s why there was a cross in his commercial.  Huckabee is a biggot of the worst type, who hates Romney because he’s a Mormon who out-performs Huckabee in every measure of a man.  Fools like Huckabee are the reason the GOP is falling apart.
