Team McCain, GOP in Full Attack Mode

Posted on Nov 1, 2008

Wow. The Huffington Post rounded up all these new attacks on Barack Obama by the McCain campaign and various GOP operatives—but before reading them, be warned: Prolonged exposure to some of these messages (e.g. voting for Obama might lead to a “tragic outcome” for Jewish people) made us want to take a shower.

The Huffington Post:

With Election Day looming and the polls suggesting John McCain faces a daunting challenge, the GOP and the McCain campaign have ramped up their negative attacks on Barack Obama. Just to start, McCain attacked Obama’s patriotism and Republicans made much hay out of a video that purportedly shows Obama attending a party where Palestinian, and Columbia University Professor, Rashid Khalidi was also a guest.

At the risk of being a “sore winner” (nothing worse than that), Obama can not let this stand.

Tomorrow night, when he steps up and delivers his acceptance speech, I don’t want to hear any of the “my opponent ran a tough and honorable campaign” bullshit. Sorry, Barack; he didn’t. He ran a shallow, back-stabbing, mud-slinging campaign laced with lies, innuendo and shameless racism.

Obama should accept America’s vote, acknowledge his rival’s congratulation and then thank the electorate for ignoring the Republican pig sty politics.

And THEN get on to the job of reversing the policies of the past 8 years.

I learned way back in a Social Psychology class:
Those with the most extreme and unsupportable views are those that will seek the hardest for like-minded others and then defend themselves with extraordinary vigor.
Their greatest triumph - finding another person with their belief set.
Their greatest fear - that others will understand how fragile and fake their world really is.
Applies very well to the Republikkkan base.
Applies very well to religious zealots everywhere.

I have supported many Republicans in the past and considered myself an Independent. However, this election cycle has done it! First Palin, followed quickly by a campaign that might make Karl Rove blush! Just look at their star, Sarah Palin. Bimbo, extraordinaire!

These ‘End of Days’ fanatics pose a creditable Threat to the Jewish Community, along with the rest of Us who do not buy into their sociopathic delusions of granduer
The only reason they want to assure Israel remains Jewish is to fulfil a Prophecy regarding the Second Coming or THEIR ‘Messiah’. Funny No Jew is given a Seat at the ‘Rapture’ , Only those who convert to THEIR form of Chrisitanity are welcome (will be ‘saved’). Remember Hagees claim that Hitler aided the push to fulfil this prophecy by pushing Jews back to Israel….That was no mistake. These so called Christians STILL hold the Jews responsible for The cruxification of Christ-Just like Hitler Did.

Anti-Semitism goes back to the very beginning of Christianity, to its founder, that is to Paul of Tarsus, who concocted the whole myth of a “Jesus” who lived in Roman times. According to Paul’s Gospel mythology, the Jews did reject and kill Jesus. Paul preached Christianity to Gentiles, not Jews. Anti-Semitism has been a pervasive part of Western culture ever since. As to Hitler, he didn’t give a damn about Jesus or Christianity, but used anti-Semitism to propel him to power.

Since McCain won the nomination of the Republican Party, I decided to keep an open mind and listen to him on the hope of finding some positive aspects to his person and the policies he might bring.

Now, on the eve of the election, I just realized I was wrong to waste my precious time listening to such sick person. Therefore, this is my final verdict on McCain written in the format of couplets poetry:

My pursuit is to reach Truth’s inmost shrine-
And I am not my Self’s ass, he is mine;
Now since the beast I ride on rides on you,
That you’re a “hero” is quite plainly untrue;
You love the Self- it’s lit in you a fire
Of nagging lust, insatiable desire,
A blaze that burns your vigor, wastes your heart,
Leaving infirmity in every part,
Consuming all your strength, till deaf and blind
You’re old, forgetful, rambling in your mind.

Do the Republicans hate everyone or just those who are poor, disabled, work for a living, differently skin shaded, foreign looking and don’t sing the same psalms?

I was originally going to respond to you with my own opinion on whether or not it’s EVERYONE they hate, or just the several hundreds of millions of the ‘other’ of us. I thought you’d covered it pretty well, and so I was going to say it was just them/us that you named, as opposed to ‘everybody’.

But, I was going to add a few to your list, and when I got started, I decided that it turned out to be ‘everybody’ after all.

The Republicans actually DO hate everybody, including themselves. There’s no other excuse for their existence.

I believe what what we’re seeing here is the REAL John McCain.

The only reason why we’ve never seen this before is because he’s never been challenged before, he’s always had his butt kissed.

But now that Obama has succefully challenged him, then his true face is coming through.

“Maverick” my left foot.

I have received all the carbages the Republicans supporters of McCain have produced so far against Obama.I just keep dumping them in the wast basket beneath my computer desk. They are just wasting their time and postage money on me.

I am an Independent Centrist Voter who will vote for
Obama and the rest of the Democratic ticket across the board. So will my wife.

The only way I may consider voting for a Republican
presidential nominee would be that the Republican Party come up with a candidate of the mold, honesty and moral authority of President Dwight Eisenhower.

There is NO other way, regardless of all the trashy
propaganda the Republican idiots are bombarding me with at present time against Obama.Period.

The unprecedented levels of bigotry and buttheadedness in this campaign has only one antidote - an Obama win.  If the wingers manage to steal this one too, it will be a watershed for the country, with some serious short term turbulence.

Go to:

Vote for some of these extreme buttheads, like Palin and McCain to get asses stamped on their heads.  All in good fun, but makes a wicked statement.  Spread the word!!

Louise: Actually it was more like $550,000+ and there was also more than 1 grant approved by John to Khalidi’s groups.

So much for John running a clean campaign. And now I see that John has classified Joe the plumber-not- as a real American hero. So all it takes to be a hero in John’s book is to be a lying, tax evading con person. A true Republican. John is such a good judge of character, no one should have anything to worry about with him at the helm of America for a very short time before Sarah eliminates him.

Slinging racist and McCarthyite innuendo and accusations is what Republicans do, after all, their actual platform isn’t going to attract many people. McCain is desperately grabbing at straws and slinging whatever crap is still left in his arsenal but he’s playing to his loyal base and alienating the more moderate majority including many in his own party. His only chance now is a stolen election. Unfortunately, there is a good chance he’ll get it.

After so many instances in History of this type of manipuation, you would think the Jews would be a bit more cautious about WHY others are motivated to ‘help’ them.Could thes ‘Jews for Jesus’ not be the same as the type of Betrayors/Decievers as those who aided the nazi’s to save their own skins? (Literally).
Riddle me this ...
If there are only 144,000 seats avaialble at the ‘Rapture’ for CONVERTED Jews, How much real ‘Love’ is there for the Faith?
These Deceptive and Self centered ideologies have been around forever, But it is Only Now through technological advances and mental coercison have these ‘End of Dayers’ come so close to being able to provoke their own Self fulling Prophecies. These are not ‘Friends of Israel’ nor are they devote Christians…They are the Slayers of the Lambs and will do anything to conquer Humanity (all other faiths)...sounds more like a jealous, weak entity they serve through their ‘smiling faces’(showing teeth is not always a smile, sometimes its actually ‘bareing their Teeth’)

McCain’s “reputation” as a man of principle is coming increasingly under fire it seems.  Where were his principles when he called on his father and grandfather to intervene in his expulsion from military school?  Where were his principles when he played top gun in US planes, crashing several and causing destruction of power lines in Spain?  Where were his principles when he took favors from his buddy Charles Keating and during the investigation by a Senate Ethics Committee made an impassioned speech to the committee that he didn’t deserve this treatment as a former POW and war hero.  Where were his principles when he left his first family to marry an heiress.

I don’t understand where a reputation of being a principled man could have ever come from.  He has been an opportunist in his personal and his political life.  His motto “Country First” is highly laughable.  When has he ever put his country first?  If that were truly a concern of his, he would realize that choosing a bimbo for a running mate and even running for president at his age and with his health history is totally self-serving and has nothing at all to do with wanting what is best for your country.

After all of McCain/Palin negative attacks it’s 2 days out and I know NOTHING about what McCain would do for me. The only thing I got out of McCain is that he will tax our health insurance premiums which has always been pre-taxed and people with pre-existing conditions will have trouble getting coverage, so that is all bad.  Other than that each week he has tried a new negative tactic that backfired in their face. Maybe if he focused on our problems instead of being obsessed with Obama he would be better off. Big mistake. Oh and lastly by picking Palin, you lost all the Clinton supporters that might have looked at you alittle more closely. Another Big mistake.

In April 2008, The Los Angeles Times reported Obama attended a dinner for Khalidi at the University of Chicago, citing a video from the party.

John McCain began his final week of desperation by jumping on the report of Obama at a party thrown for a man who openly calls for a free Palestine, as proof Obama hates Israel and supports terrorism!

Then McCain goes on to demand LA Times release that tape to the public, exclaiming, “The Los Angeles Times would be quick to produce a tape that purported to show me or my running mate at a neo-Nazi event, so I can’t understand why it won’t show Barack Obama in the company of a former PLO mouthpiece!”

Once again McCain opens mouth and inserts foot. Because McCains ties to Khalidi, are actually far more significant!

John McCain served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI) during the 1990’s.

Under the chairmanship of John McCain, the IRI provided grants worth $500,000 to the Center for Palestine Research and Studies for the purpose of polling the views of the Palestinian people. The Center for Palestine Research and Studies was co-founded by Khalidi.

Perhaps McCain being an elderly gentleman has forgotten about that, or forgotten about his ties to Khalidi.

Or perhaps he never actually met the man, but I doubt it. Unless his position as chairman of the IRI was in name only ... and he never actually did anything while chairman, or paid any attention to who was giving away money, or where it was going ... I think he would have met the man!

I mean, generally when you arrange for someone to get $500,000, you put in a P.R. appearance to hear them say thank you!

No matter which way you look at it, either McCain did not see Khalidi as a former PLO mouthpiece then, or he’s lying about Khalidi now.

But, most damning, if McCain was chairman in name only, that says McCain takes positions of leadership only so he can add to his list of accomplishments, but never really shows up, or does anything.

And all of this starkly underlines the desperation of a desperate man! So eager to label his opponent as a terrorist by association, he risks labeling himself as a terrorist by association!

And if we are to believe this kind of idiocy, we can just as easily lable McCain a Communist, because he lived with Communists in Vietnam for almost six years.

Or perhaps the RNC, being absolutely convinced their voters and their candidates are complete morons, didn’t bother to worry about whether or not anyone was going to look behind the headline.

Oh duh! These are the same guys who insisted McCain pick Palen! So, who are the real morons ... eh? smile

It could be funny except for the fact that it’s so very painful to watch a man once seen as above reproach, approach unraveling.  Sickening actually.

So in the final analysis. McCain has decided it’s more important to be named president than maintain his reputation as a man of high principle. Deciding instead to be the elephant boy, trying not to get trampled by the herd while he carries the buckets of dung!

And the basest, base being appealed to gives new meaning to the words, religious and right!

And all of it proves beyond a shadow of a doubt, McCain can not make sound decisions or maintain control!

Is all of this minor horseshit really important to your kids? McCain Palin, it looks like, will do little to slow down the melt of all the major bodies of ice while their hostility to brown races boils over into new and more mortifying attacks against the poor of the world..thus flooded coastal cities and nil respect for the US and its ideals. Lunatics are followed in a “free” society not out of fear of loss of life but of fear of loss of a paycheck. A gutless lot we’ve become.

Why doesn’t Palin go away and learn the constitution, the job of the VP, and some ethics then come back in a few years and give it a shot.

How can anyone not know and understand the constitution yet claim they are qualified to lead us in it. McCain, what exactly were you thinking when you chose this idiot? You may want her to address why she made her stupid comment regarding her first amendment rights.

Guess when you were training her to go out on the campaign trail, you skipped this important chapter, or did you take for granted that she actually understood the constitution, being an experienced executive and all?
