‘Joe the Plumber’ in 2010?Posted on Oct 25, 2008
Life took an unexpected turn for Joe Wurzelbacher, or “Joe the Plumber,” when he became a kind of human talking point for John McCain and Barack Obama during their last debate, and now Wurzelbacher has apparently taken a shine to politics.

Oh Yeah-You Betcha-WE REALLY WANT A “pitb*ll palin/6pack lying plumber” TICKET in 2012….I am an old woman-My grandfather died 40 years ago BUT….I can remember him talking about his job rounding up cattle and horses when he was a young man….He said a MAVERICK is an animal that goes its’ own way-away from the herd-just don’t care about anything….A ROGUE is an animal that just wants to fight-just don’t care about anything….He said that NEITHER a Maverick nor a Rogue animal was to be trusted.EVER…...

What makes this jerk think Marcy Kaptur is going to roll over and play dead, just to yank his fat out of the fires of tax court? Shouldn’t he be too busy scraping in overtime to catch up his back taxes to be engaged in GOP chicanery with the ditzy Laura Ingraham? I would like to think his current tax situation would work against him in a campaign agaisnt an encombant with Kaptur’s stellar record. I’ll bet my next Happy Meal that Kaptur’s taxes are straight.
Shouldn’t this UNLICENSED plumber’s apprentice be somewhere trying to study for the plumbers licensing exam? I thought he had a $250,000.00 a year plumbing business to buy, so Obama can redistribute his wealth to lazy, shiftless, fake American socialists like me. Joe the MORON needs to hurry up and pass that test and get the business started, so slacker lummoxes like myself, who spend all day on the internet running him down on the blogosphere like a rabid dog in rush hour traffic, can get that promised cut of his redistributed wealth. I’m going to need that extra snatch from his wealth to catch up my cable internet bills, seeing as how I just upgraded my services to run him down at the industry’s fastest HSI speed.

Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D) is one of the most knowledgeable representatives in congress. Her expertise on finance and money management is invaluable. Perhaps Sam the non-plumber’s focus on her, will highlight her value to the new Obama administration. Lord knows, we need people working with the new president who are on our side. People who actually understand what’s going on and what it’s going to take to fix it. And Kaptur fills the bill. So in the end, maybe we’ll all be indebted to Sam.
If he is serious about going into politics, he needs to remove himself from the heavy repub influence and do some heavy duty studying on the real issues and problems. Plenty of folks, books and educators out there to help. Repub talking heads may actually hinder and confuse him. I suspect if he actually started studying, he’d find himself moved to vote for Obama, because he obviously has a genuine interest in what’s going on around him, even if he doesn’t understand it yet.
But, in all honesty his tax problem could keep him from making it. And maybe that says more about the non-plumber than anything. Does he have unpaid taxes because of a genuinely unfair tax burdon, or just because he doesn’t want to pay his share?
Sure there are plenty of folks out there who hate taxes. But they would hate life a whole lot more if everything those taxes pay for suddenly went away. Just like the folks who bitch and moan about having to pay that SSI tax every month. They’d change their minds real fast if mom and dad moved in and they had to give up their bedroom and move to the couch. Especially if they got laid off and discovered unemployment compensation had been done away with. And there were no longer food stamps available!
Lets face it folks, if we didn’t still have in place the remnants of FDR’s entitlements, Social Security, Food Assistance and unemployment compensation, the current crash would have been far worse, and far more inclined to go on indefinitely.
Safety nets, still in place.
But it needs to be noted. That’s not because the repubs haven’t been trying to get rid of them ever since they were created! Had Bush and McCain been successful in the first term of the “era of dumb” they would be gone by now. All gone.
By the way, someone needs to tell Sam the non-plumber, if McCain wins, pay or not, his taxes will go up. Somebodys got to foot the bill, so the repubs favorite uber-wealthy one percent can keep on getting tax breaks.
But, if Obama wins, they’ll go down. Until he makes more than $250,000. And given his current status, that doesn’t seem likely in the near future.

The fame bestowed on “Joe the Plumber” by the McCain/ Palin election machine is indicative of how the ordinary American voter is viewed by many if not most politicians. I don’t know the man that republicans has touted as the average middle class American; trying to achieve “the American Dream”; however, there are many average Americans (men and women) who decidedly would have been better representatives of the plight the average American citizen for the last 30+ years.
Report thisIt appears Joe Wurzlebacher is trading his real life for a moment of fame and that is sad. Whatever economic condition Joe is in; it is better than allowing the McCain/Palin election committee to use him as their “poster child”.
It seems that overall, McCain/Palin wouldn’t know an average American it they tripped over one, and that says it all if you are considering voting for them. Despite the commentary of mainstream media, this election is not a “one issue race” and if the way McCain and Palin has ran their bid for election is an in indicator of their ability to lead our country; I for one am not impressed.
This election is could decide the long term future of our country, as I am certain most citizens realize. And, although I am not “undecided” as to who I will vote for, I will not try to impose my choice on others, since it is each individuals right to make that decision based on what they believe to be most important to themselves and hopefully to the country as a whole. My only hope is that most of us will realize we are in the same boat and will try vote in a way that will overthrow the greed, ignorance and dishonesty of present and past Administrations. Equal opportunity and respect toward all Americans should be an underlying principle of anyone seeking to lead our country and the primary motivation of those voting for the candidates in our elections.

JTP is the PERFECT Republican candidate:
He’s a tax cheat.
He lied about his income.
He’s ignorant.
He comes up with memorable sound bites.
He has NO understanding of our Constitution.
He, like so many in Congress is parlaying fame to a seat without ANY indication of competence. Think “Gopher” from the Love Boat. Think Jack Kemp, a pro-quarterback. Think Jim Bunning. Think Steve Largent. Think Sonny Bono. Think J.C. Watts. Think Ronald Reagan.
Ignorant. Irrational. What Celeb are the Dems putting up? Al Franken. Intellectual, well-read, articulate, funny, whose recent comedy ALL reflects observing politics.
Hell, Jay Leno or David Letterman is more qualified than most of the GOP bozos, as are Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert.
So, Joe The Plumber is their perfect candidate.
LOSER!
