Digging Into Franco’s Bloody ReignPosted on Oct 17, 2008
An acclaimed Spanish judge has ordered the unearthing of some of the unmarked graves of the tens of thousands who were killed during the first two decades of Gen. Francisco Franco’s fascist rule of the country, formally declaring the repression by Franco and associates as a “crime against humanity.” The years of Franco’s dictatorship under investigation begin in the 1930s, when fascist forces defeated Republican coalitions in the Spanish Civil War, and end in the early 1950s when Spain joined the international community and began a strong relationship with the U.S.

Capitalism thrives briefly under conditions of equality and fair contracts. Crooks quickly turn capitalism into Crookism however by seizing every advantage they can steal using the ancient arts of force and fraud. The Spanish Civil War was force and fraud incarnate under post World War I military conditions. Crooks are crooks whether they are trying to maintain their advantages or steal some more. 911 was merely a twist on the old formula as an example of force and fraud by Zionist Crooks, Saudi crooks, and Republican crooks. The world really consists of rich crooks, sucker middle class, and working class slaves.

One of my sons asked ‘Why is the Spanish Civil War so important, today?’
There may be thousands of reasons, but one cannot deny the validity of the observation. European writers and movie directors continue to explore the symbolism. American authors, from both hemispheres are not far behind. Whether they are exploring the causes of WW2, or the failure of Socialism as a political force, they have trouble getting beyond 1938.
Certainly as an admirer of Cuba’s Revolutionary Government, It is hard to ignore the similarities of our treatment of Cuba’s Government for the past fifity years, and our treatment of the democratically elected Socialist Republic in Spain in the late 1920s and early 30s.
Nothing in our attitude toward Venezuela, Bolivia, and Chile, and Nicaragua has changed since the Guatemalan incursion in 1954. Latin America keeps electing Socialists, and we keep killing them.
Perhaps the Spanish Civil War was important and remains so today because it was first. Like a bad conscience, it weighs on our soul, and the voices of the dead continue to cry out for justice. I hope this brave Judge goes forward with his effort to account for the crimes against the Spanish people and all humanity by Franco and his rapacious fascist friends.

They stole elections, did 911, used anthrax, murdered the Wellstones, and started wars.
