After Team McCain’s negative strategy over recent days seemed to hurt the Republican’s campaign more than help it, John McCain took a new tack on Monday, calling off the attack dogs—or at least reining them in a bit—during a speech in Virginia Beach.

AP via Google News:

Republican John McCain pledged to fight for a new direction for the country in an energetic new campaign stump speech Monday that sought to distance him from the economic policies of President Bush. “We cannot spend the next four years as we have spent much of the last eight: waiting for our luck to change,” McCain said while campaigning with running mate Sarah Palin in this once reliably Republican state that has become a battleground this year.

“The hour is late; our troubles are getting worse; our enemies watch. We have to act immediately. We have to change direction now.”

The Arizona senator insisted he understood Americans’ concerns about the deepening financial crisis, even as fears about the meltdown have moved voters firmly in Democrat Barack Obama’s direction in recent weeks.

Allen K: Do you really think that 4 more yrs. of Bush is going to help. He ruined every business he had into the bankruptcy courts and he has done the same with America. And he will walk away from yet from another mess he created and will leave it for someone else to clean up. If he stays, our fate will be sealed sooner.

All politicians lie, but the Repugs have the Dems beaten hundreds of times over.

As for flip-flopping, G.W.‘s favorite name calling for Kerry, who has flip-flopped more than anyone-McConfused. He does not even know what he says minute to minute, let alone from the previous day.Proven on the news numerous times. He does not know that most of the bills he signed against as a Senator, he now claims he was for? Many related to our service people.

We also do not need another religious whack job LIAR in the not-so white-house, dragging us into wars to hasten end time prophecy so those whom she feels will be taken up in the rapture will seek out Alaska as a last refuge. Talk about delusional people the Repugs have running out there. Now can we return them to the asylum?

And Who do We find….Phil & Wendy Gramm, Rick Davis, Carly whatsherface, every dirty SOB who has worked to bring this country down since the ‘80’s.
Keating MUST Not be Ignored it was Foreshadowing and is NOW evidential proof of Life long conspiratorial UnAmerican Activiites by John McCain.
If he & his campaign think planting Lunatics in their ralies will lessen the Impact of the terms ‘Treason’ and ‘Terrorist’ They are sorely mistaken..It’s just making it easier to accept the fact and roll off our tongues during their Trials for High Crimes.
John McCain IS a Traitor- gets easier everytime I say it!
funny how 8 yrs can change your perseective. I not only like Mac in ‘00, I actually hoped he’d win the Republican Nomination, Was Pissed at the Bushies for their Character assasination of him. But now I thank God he did not win..He has proven to be far Crazier than W. is Stupid.Shit Mac should get an Oscar for his Portrayal of a Covert Operative for th elast 2 decades. Do they have a category for ‘Staying in Character the longest’?McCain a Hero, Not likely (he’s a coward inthe face of political opposition- MI), A ‘Patriot’ Not when you sell your country out to WallStreet & the Corps and then snake Oil regarding Anthrax!
Not to mention The Aid & Comfort he provided to Bin Ladens Fledgling ‘Freedom Fighters’, AQ in the ‘80’s.
so everytime McCain says ‘Experience’ I must add ‘In High Crimes’

McCain claims he is a Maverick, this is synonymous to being a loose cannon. His actions have unequivocally proven so.

McCain has strayed, or has reveiled himself into the area that was once the land of the KKK. He now has made some feeble efforts to pull back, but the anger in himself gives a valid reason for people to believe it was no accident that he has embraced racists and fascists in the Republican Party and the nation.

It isn’t necessary to listen to his latest ramblings of hoped for political coin, it is only necessary for the voter to remember that he chose a candidate to run with him who hasn’t the credentials to serve in National Politics and increasingly we are aware that in the local politics she participated in she has been an agent of corruption, favoritism and poor judgement. That isn’t even mentioning the fact that she is a habitual liar.

As she, if elected with McCain would most likely wind up as President, what does that say about McCain’s judgement? Nothing good I would say.

Thats a great point, imagine McCain running our country the way that he has run his campaign! wow, he would have to do what letterman said, and suspend his presidency everytime things got tough.

Nobody’s listening McCain.  Too little, Too Late, No more time for you!

A campaign in disarray. Are Americans paying attention? Probably not. Imagine our country run the way McCain’s campaign has been run, i.e., topsy-turvy.

He is all over the map. Isn’t it crystal clear that he lacks even a modicum of principles, his focus being to win at any cost and saying anything?
