Obama Buys His Own TV Special

Flush with cash, Barack Obama has purchased air time on at least two networks for a half-hour special to air a week before the election. No word yet on how much a half-hour of prime-time sweeps air costs, but it’s certainly more than Ross Perot paid back in ‘92.

Live Feed via Political Wire:

Barack Obama has purchased a half-hour of primetime television on CBS and NBC, sources confirm.

The Obama campaign is producing a nationwide pitch to voters that will air on at least two broadcast networks. The ad will run Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 8 p.m.—less than a week before the general election.

The direct purchase of such a large block of national airtime right before an election used to be more commonplace before campaigns began to focus their endgame strategies exclusively on battleground states. Such a move is not without precedent in modern presidential politics, however—Ross Perot did a similar purchase in 1992.

Sue;
It seems that you are flush with many “questionable” circumstances to hang your captor’s hat on.

It is true Sue, anyone CAN imagine something worse than our present government and one be afraid of something that that one has been taught to fear. Your points do seem like valid fears the way that you present them. But, your script has been spoken by many of your fellow prisoners, each with a high intensity of moral obligation.
But it seems to be a lot of trivial points because these “fears and lies” have been only circumstantial for so long without any substance other than fearful talk.

What secrets?
Are you kidding?

How about Rev. Wright?, Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko? The flag lapel pin he just started wearing during the primaries while trying to prove sudden patriotism after being called on it.

His mysteriously missing thesis that nobody convienently can find from his Harvard days?

Other things as of now that are coming out that are being kept “hidden” until after the election. (more associations with questionable people?, his “spread the wealth” revelation?, etc.)

They shouldn’t be a big deal if he has nothing to hide, but he sure is working hard (lying)to keep most of his past under wraps.

The guy’s nothing but one big secret!
A lot of people including myself don’t trust him because of it.

Sue, what ‘controversy’ are you referring to?  I’m not aware of anything in the campaign that he’s been particularly secretive about.  Can you please specify?

Obama always feels the need to have the last word(s) when controversey that he’s managed to keep secret all of sudden comes out.

I’m sure this 1/2 hour commercial is his last (thank God) appeal (and waste of good prime-time tv) to voters that all accusations about him are false, and he (the messiah) is all good and pure. Any second thoughts about me should be absolved completely after this speech. (sermon.)  You’re all free to come out and vote for me.

It’s begging at his best.
