Bush Makes Cameo Appearance at White House

There he is!: President Bush emerges from the White House to address reporters briefly on Thursday.

President Bush had been laying low over recent days, but it seems his inner circle considered it prudent to trot him out for a brief appearance at the White House. He surfaced on Thursday to speak vaguely about the snowballing economic crisis on Wall Street before disappearing once again.

The New York Times:

In the increasingly surreal world of the White House, the appearance was a sign that all pretense of normalcy is gone. All week long, with Wall Street engulfed by what analysts are calling the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, President Bush had mostly stayed out of sight, except when trying to maintain the façade of business as usual.

To be sure, other presidents, most recently Mr. Bush’s predecessor, Bill Clinton, have been careful about what they say in public when Wall Street is in turmoil. But by all outward appearances, Mr. Bush has been reduced this week to almost a bit player in his own government, as Washington has reoriented itself away from the White House and toward Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson Jr. and the Federal Reserve chairman, Ben S. Bernanke.

I believe Wrongworst’s concern for his legacy has him nearly insane.  Every thing is a failure except marrying off one daughter. I noticed he cocked his jaw to one side every time he paused during a short speech the day the market fell 504 pts.  Hope he gets his meds right whatever that may be.

The photo accompaning the article is interesting.

Duhyba’s face is very pale compared to his neck and hand.

Is this an effort to make it appear that his has been at his desk day and night dealing with Ike, and wars and the econmy? If he looks too tan people might think he has been on the golf course everyday.

Or is this a cut a paste job?  One of these days the alcoholic Georgie Boy will win out.  Duhyba has looked increasingly flacid, puffy faced, over weight and about the same 70+ years old as the decade older McCain.

What gives with our mighty Decider-in-Chief?

A week or so ago, during some White House lawn ceremony (I do not know what the occasion was), Bush stood with Laura beside him on his left. Bush was stone faced. When the ceremony was over, Bush and Laura turned around to walk back toward the WH. Laura grabbed Bush’s right arm between the shoulder and elbow and continued to hold her hand there as they walked. I could only think that such a hold by Laura means that GWB needs support. Was he wobbly on his feet? If so, what was the cause? Was he sick? Was it nerves? Perhaps someone else noticed this subtle little theatre, too.

Ah shucks ya’ll. You didn’t REALLY expect him to say or do anything now did you?

WHEN, in damn near 8 years, has this criminal psychopath EVER been around during a catastrophe; of his own making or otherwise?

How about…NEVER!!!

I love the picture though. I wonder how long it took his caretaker to get him dressed?

When it comes to bailing out Wall Street its the tax payers money.

But this could have been avoided if Bush and company when they were saying the people who know finance can police themselves.

Kind of like telling the fox he can guard the henhouse because we know he will do the right thing and not eat the hens.

Well that kind of backfired.

So you know why Bush was playing beek a boo.

I agree that the bush crime family has had major major input into the current crisis and that the end is most likely not here or not too near. But the facade that the whole neocon/neoliberal agenda has been running around like an out of control bulldozer is in reality just a house of cards that is just now beginning to crumble because I believe people of the world where the milton friedman economic ideology of disaster capitalism has been played out now see it for what it is, a house of cards. These countries have realized the use of the World Bank and the IMF in the shock doctrine of privatizing old economies that benefitted not the peoples of those countries but the ‘elites’ and now the World Bank and the IMF are being run out of countries that are coming out of the shock that was instituted to gain access to the riches they stole. Hell, 2 countries in south America have now run the American ambassadors our of their countries. A sign, be it small for now, that people are realizing the stupidity and criminality of friedman’s economics. The wind is changing and hopefully the traitorous corporations that raped the U.S. and fled off shore to keep from paying taxes and being held to contributing to the good of the U.S. will now be shut out and any business they do get to conduct here will be taxed to hell and back to get back what was once american. And that includes the United States Military becoming beholding to the people and a responsible congress and chief executive.

He isn’t part of this crisis, except for the fact that he, and his crime family, designed all of this.

This is no accident. Their goal is to destroy the middle class and they are masters at doing just that.

They can’t control happy, prosperous citizens.
Only fearful, penniless citizens who’ll beg for any scraps thrown their way. They have a trillion dollars to bail out all these firms, but not one penny for universal health care.

The “Shock and Awe” campaign started on 9/11.

We ain’t seen nuthin’ yet.

Bye, bye, Amerikan Pie.

Peek a boo I see you.He is not a Republican he is not a democrat.Who will take ownership of the peek a boo President.I have a feeling that if George Bush played hide and seek he would never be found because no one would look.At a time when we are looking for reassurance from the leader of the free world we get peek a boo appearances like he is not part of this crisis.Next time the voting public wants to elect someone they want to have a beer with I hope they have something else to lose.
