Palin Finally Accepts Global Warming

Palin and a Dead Bear
grizzlybay.org

Sarah Palin sits next to a bear that her father killed. Seriously.

After years of looking to energy profits instead of science, Sarah Palin has finally accepted the argument that human activity has led to an increase in global warming. Palin now says, “I believe that man’s activities certainly can be contributing to the issue of global warming, climate change.”

The Guardian:

Palin had previously cast doubt on the cause of rapid Arctic sea ice melting in her home state of Alaska. One day before she joined the Republican ticket in August, she told conservative website NewsMax: “I’m not one ... who would attribute [climate change] to being man-made.”

Palin’s shift brings her more in line with McCain, who has acknowledged that warming comes from the burning of fossil fuels and vowed to regulate US carbon emissions as president.

But the Alaska governor also expressed sympathy with fellow conservatives who continue to believe - in the face of broad scientific consensus - that observed climate change is a natural variation unrelated to human activity.

“Whether it’s entirely, wholly caused by man’s activities or is part of the cyclical nature of our planet, the warming and the cooling trends - regardless of that, John McCain and I agree that we’ve got to do something about it,” Palin said.

I love to see politicians flip-flopping over issues like global warming and arctic drilling, thank god she was never given any launch codes, had to be the most fatal mistake of the McCain campaign, i know the VP is pretty useless, but there is always the potential that something could happen to potus.

I hope that bear comes back to life and eats her; it is only fair since she wants to destroy it’s natural habitat.

Forget about experience - this woman is a nut case.  Has there ever been a worse candidate chosen to be VP.  I bet McCain wishes he hadn’t picked her.

You know in the old days, the politicians would say there should be a chicken in every pot and a car in ever garage.  Today Pailin needs to be saying, their should be a Moose head hanging in every living room.

If you think the bear on the couch is something, wait until you see what she has in the master bedroom.

“To tell you the truth I never noticed things warming up until that day senator McCain stood behind on stage when I took the job.  I could really feel the heat, ya know, and I thought this is an inconvenient truth.  It’s definitely man-made and I’m going to do something about it.”

Someone already pointed it out, but let me reiterate:

She said global warming “can be” human caused. That IS NOT an admission.

Give her a break—she’s not stupid. She didn’t admit a thing! The only thing she “admitted” was that it “could be”.

Well, Rome waan’t built in a day. Today global warming, tomorrow we will work on her math, and then maybe she will see that the earth is older than 6000 years. After that, maybe the laws of physics(maybe)

Thet bar sort of clashes with the upholstery on the settee old ‘guns’ Palin is ever so comfy on. Golly, one sort of feels badly for thet bar. I mean, having to share the settee with old ‘guns’ Palin. Thet woman seems a might creepish. Maybe it’s just the “Alaskan” in her demeanor. Wait a minute, maybe it’s the ignorance in her presentation. Yeah, that’d be the one.

In this interview she basically just avoided flat-out answering the question. This doesn’t mean she agrees that global warming is man-made. She said there is always that possibility, but regardless of the cause, she kept insisting that her and McCain will do something about it.

But how the hell do you do something about it if you don’t even understand the cause?

OK, another adjustment in our direction, to follow their johnny-come-lately adoption of Obama’s Iraq, Afghanistan, stem-cell-research, etc. policies.

A useful line?  “Why vote for Obama Lite when you can get it from the source—the guy whoh ad it right all along.”
