No, america’s infrastructure is back burner material. We need to keep pouring more money into illegal and useless wars and military spending on things as important as space weapons because I bet the martians are going to attack and we need them space weapons.
Or, n.korea will attack us and only space weapons will save us.

This is why we need to get Obama in there. Sure he represents “corporate America”, but which part of it? Not weapons manufacturers, but other, more benign parts of the economy, which will benefit from renewing infrastructure, from government-subsidized medical care in some form, from policies of energy independence and green energy, and so forth.

All of the money does go somewhere.  I live in Mpls the bridge is supposed to be done later this year, convienently just around the RNC that will be in St Paul. The controversy lies with the fact that MnDot knew about the bridge problem long before the tragic event. Political controversy and mismanagement has held true even in the MN Gov’t. 
This reminds me of the levees in New Orleans, the gov’t could have fixed them properly after the army engineers told the gov’t they would not hold up, but instead we diverty millions of dollars to Iraq instead of taking care of the US Citizens.
Its all the about the war in Iraq, the US is paying a huge price for this war, to what end, to have more enemies than we already do. Thank you Pres Bush you really $(U% EVERYTHING UP!!

Living in Michigan we have three main bridges, the Mackinaw Bridge, Blue Water Bridge and the Ambassador Bridge, all of which are heavily used. Having been on the Mackinaw bridge several times, length 5 miles, I hope to never be on it if it were to collapse due to poor maintenance. But hey, we have more than enough borrowed money for the wars Bush has involved the U.S. in and now there is talk we are already at war in Iran, so it looks as if the bridges will have to wait longer.

Before Bush was gifted with the W.H., in July 2000, his top priority was war in Iraq and America and its problems were at the bottom of his list of what needed to be done. Well, I guess we can credit him with keeping his word on that promise, even though it is at the expense of America and it’s people., reputation, etc....
