War Crimes Tribunal Awaits KaradzicPosted on Jul 29, 2008
He is almost unrecognizable in the guise of alternative therapist Dr. Dragan Dabic, but it apparently took more than long hair, a beard and an invented identity to keep former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic’s past from catching up with him. Early Wednesday morning, Karadzic was on his way to The Hague from Belgrade, where his hard-line supporters had rallied against his arrest the night before, to face the United Nations war crimes tribunal for crimes against humanity and genocide during the bloody shelling of Sarajevo and the Srebrenica massacre of 1995.

Karadzic is small potatoes compared with Bush, Blair, Cheney, Rumsfeld. “The 43 month siege of Sarajevo claimed more than 10,000 lives”? The 6 year siege of Afghanistan and Iraq have claimed more than a million lives. But, that doesn’t count.
