Former Italian President Francesco Cossiga, who revealed the existence of Operation Gladio, has told Italy’s oldest and most widely read newspaper that the 9-11 terrorist attacks were run by the CIA and Mossad, and that this was common knowledge among global intelligence agencies.

In what translates awkwardly into English, Cossiga told the newspaper Corriere della Sera:

“All the [intelligence services] of America and Europe…know well that the disastrous attack has been planned and realized from the Mossad, with the aid of the Zionist world in order to put under accusation the Arabic countries and in order to induce the western powers to take part … in Iraq [and] Afghanistan.”

Cossiga was elected president of the Italian Senate in July 1983 before winning a landslide election to become president of the country in 1985, and he remained until 1992.

Cossiga’s tendency to be outspoken upset the Italian political establishment, and he was forced to resign after revealing the existence of, and his part in setting up, Operation Gladio. This was a rogue intelligence network under NATO auspices that carried out bombings across Europe in the 1960s, 1970s and ’80s. Gladio’s specialty was to carry out what they termed “false flag” operations—terror attacks that were blamed on their domestic and geopolitical opposition.

In March 2001, Gladio agent Vincenzo Vinciguerra stated, in sworn testimony, “You had to attack civilians, the people, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple: to force … the public to turn to the state to ask for greater security.”

Deception relative to who, the enemy or the people of the country that is going to war?

Any country that goes to war would or should follow the chinese’s Sun Tzu’s instructions from ‘The Art of War’ where most if not all parts of war uses deception to overcome its enemies.
In the case of the US the deception is used against us the citizens to make us believe we need to be at war.

samo: I know what you’re feeling. I agree totally that you can only compare whats happening here to nazi germany, including the mindset of the people. Lest we forget, we couldn’t get here without the support of the so called “opposition party” and ignorance of the general populace as well.

I hope you do watch that video. There is hope knowing there are many of us fighting the good fight and spreading the word.  Our numbers are growing but must grow larger and more of us must become involved because the clock is ready to strike midnight.

9/11 can be both an inside or outside job, depending on how you look at it! If you consider Israel the fifty-first most privileged state of the USA, then it is 100 % an inside job. However, if you consider Israel a foreign country, then it would be an outside job. I guess this way of looking at it will satisfy the two contending theories about 9/11!

I couldn’t watch this whole thing. When I see those fat boy cops grinning and trying to exert fear over these people wanting the truth and the people in each others face just gets me to bent out of shape. There could be no other comparison than the brown shirts on Kristol nach night(or whatever) in nazi germany when hitler decided to go after the jews and the others he wanted rounded up. I cannot help be relate that to what has been going on in this country since at least the think tank years that were created starting in the nixon administration where the neocons and far right wingers started their ploting, planning and scheming for power and the carrying out the ‘contract with america’ bullshit they set up as a way to ‘save’ america.
To me this bodes very ill for this country and I doubt that just winning an election(if one held)in november will get this country back on to a democratic type of government. It will need help from the rest of the world, a world that would probably not mind seeing this country crash, even if it would be in the interest of the world to help in gainning control over these very very dangerous people. And also makes me think about the how wide will the divide get between people that either don’t know or care and the people that know and care and the other 11% that things couldn’t be better. This lends creedence to what you can expect when one is apathetic to politics and don’t get involved because the criminal element in any society will gain control and usurp it unless there is eternal vigilance.

We did the same thing in Iraq earlier in Bush’s war. Only it was a wedding party in the Kurdish North and there were more than fifty civilians killed or wounded. Sorry I cant find the link. The excuse was “intelligence” provided the target of a large gathering of “insurgents,” which turns out was a large gathering of family’s of the bride and groom. OUR mainstreammedia didn’t much care then either.

At least this time they have the excuse of a missile going off track ... not a very good excuse, but an excuse. Problem is, it’s to easy to fight war long distance. Not that easy to be as precise as you would be facing the target on the ground.

And you can bet those pilots will show up with PTSD at some point in time. Even when they don’t see the victim of the “accident” the knowledge can really muck up the head.

Samo: Thanks   I have seen that excellent movie by “sophia”. I find the part about the construction heard going on BETWEEN floors very eerie and disturbing.  The facts are laid out exceptionally well.

I don’t have answers and neither does anyone else except the perpetrators but here is what I consider a very unique look into the ‘mysteries’ of 9/11 and it could all be use as investigative points in a real and total investigation into 9/11. A lot of your Question are addressed in this.

the U.S. government is in forced denial about the events of 9/11.  If Israeli complicity were proven with Cheney and his neocons, heads would roll in this country. Legal and and military actions would taken against Israel and its supporters by the U.S.

I would be interesting to see how IDF soldiers that are use to bullying Palestinian goat herders and rock throwing kids fare against a first rate army.  Since before the book of Ruth, the tribes of Israel have relied on propaganda, deceit, lies and treachery to start and end their battles.  They never win them.

The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are doomed to failure as both are fruits of the poisonous tree, they are based on propaganda, deceit, lies and treachery,  We cannot win them no matter how valorous our soldiers are. 

There is a bigger hand in this, not the Israeli hand that I see.

Howard:  Just a few questions I’ve had since the morning of 9/11.. Perhaps you can answer them for me since the government hasnt:

1. Why didn’t jets intercept the airliners since they had numerous warnings of terrorist attacks?  Where was NORAD?  How was the pentagon, the most protected bldg in the world hit over an hour after the towers?

2.  Why didn’t the Secret Service hustle bush out of the classroom?

3.  Speaking of the pentagon, where is the video with the plane hitting it?  And where IS the plane wreckage.  The lawn was pristine.

4. Where is the wreckage from flight 93 on site? No plane, no bodies, no luggage…yet debris from the plane is scattered miles away

5.  How did they come up with the “terrorists” so quickly? Especially considering they were so caught “off guard” on 9/11?(ha!)

6. Why did none of the 19 hijackers appear on the passenger lists?

7. Why would the hijackers use credit cards and allow drivers licenses with photos to be zeroxed?

8. How did a hijackers passport miraculously appear near the WTC, intact and perfectly readable amongst all the burnt and powderded debris? Who found it and what time?

9. Why did Atta leave his drivers license in a rental car?  You really think terrorists supposedly smart enough to overcome the defense systems of the u.s. would be THAT stupid???

AND THOSE HOWARD ARE JUST A FEW DISCREPANCIES !  How about how two steel frame buildings collapsed at near free fall speed after many explosions were reported by news people and first responders? AND WTC 7 falling the same way, with only small fires inside and not even being hit by an airplane!  The owner of that building said on tv that he ordered to “pull it”.

WAKE UP HOWARD.  Don’t count yourself amongst the sheeple. Do your own research.

The reality is, we don’t even have any legitimate PROOF that it was Saudi’s and a Yemeni. And he’s been TORTURED out of his mind, to the extent that he’s confessed to everything under the sky and the ocean. So let’s be just really clear on that. There was never a connection to the terrorists of 9/11 and Afghanistan any more than there was to the Saddam Hussein in Iraq. (and we KNOW there was no al-Qaeda in Iraq) There is NO proof that the tiny group of people calling themselves al-Qaeda, (less than 300) was responsible for 9/11. That’s what the ‘real’ terrorists are telling us, even including a supposed notice that was ignored. “bin Laden Determined to Strike Inside US.” Well, he might have ‘planned’ it at one time, but for all we know, Dick Rumsfeld could very well have beat him to it. So, we don’t even know that al-Qaeda had anything to do with the disappearance of 4 commercial jet liners, or the destruction of the WTC.

So, exactly how does that justify any US military presence AT ALL, in any sovereign state in the Middle East or anywhere else? It doesn’t.

As an aside to the sane ones here, I just received a message from a friend and fellow blogger who tells me that she read that the Red Cross was planning to bring charges against this administration for war crimes. I haven’t had a chance to look it up yet, but I’m going to now. This should have been done by the UN long, long, ago. But of course that couldn’t happen as long as this same thug regime was controlling it as well, stripping it of any legitimacy by highjacking it too.

So, we’ll see what I can find. That might give me a little hope for some accountability, not to mention getting the US military out of the murder business.
Glennoe here as much as says that the targeting of all these women and children was intentional, with the implied THREAT that these ‘accidents’ would continue to happen as long as ‘combatants’ were interspersing themselves in the civilian population. Glennoe sounds like just another war criminal himself.

I like to read the comments sections on TruthDig and in the corporate media more for the ignorant comments of the reich-wingers than I do for the faithful fulminators in the reality-based community. People like “Bill” and “Glennoe”—they amuse (and also horrify) me, because that kind of twisted logic is hard for me to even imagine. That’s saying a lot, because I do hospital work with patients who are literally demented and insane. But I find the diagnosed mental defectives are easier to comprehend than warped people sitting at a computer spinning lies from truth.

It’s sad that the American people don’t get the truth through their lapdog media, or can’t handle the truth if by chance they do get exposed to it. Yet they still lie to themselves that they have the free-est media in the world. The truth is out there, but you have to be willing to look for it. There arer still many wankers who aren’t.

Those macho pilots are, in fact, a bunch of cowards who hide behind their superior weapons of mass destruction. So when they see a crowd, any crowd, they panic, and they react to this panic with the trigger-happy attitude they were trained to use. Every moving thing they see as an enemy, and more so when this moving thing is a crowd in a country where they are as marauders occupiers!

Though marauders occupiers go out of their way to project macho power against the powerless natives, in reality, they wet their pants when they are caught unprepared to face any unarmed member of the natives!

Another of these “friendly fire” instances and the local populace will turn on U.S. soldiers.

Pay the families, build a hospital or school (with funding) in their honor and get out of the country.

You’re right again Samosamo, beginning with how this will never make it to US MSM. It never does. And that’s why American’s remain clueless to what it being done in their names, and then become indignant when we’re attacked, because to them…it’s like ‘out of the blue’.

How do you respond to such outrage when your military is responsible? Of course it will not happen in this country, we make sure it happens in other countries. And it is more horrible in that the military will brush it off as ‘collateral damage’, no one will be held responsible and no ‘heads will roll’. As a matter of fact the pilot(s) are still flying and winning one for the ‘gipper’ to keep america safe and secure behind a vail of no information or disinformation.
I have not seen this on any msm sites and probably won’t either. And this is NOT the first time this has happened and will contribute to any blowback america gets because america basically doesn’t know this happened and people will think we are being attacked for no apparent reason.
It is a great cover for our criminal actions around the world and to have our people support our attacks on others because we are led to believe by our government and military that we were just walking down the street when we were all of a sudden attacked for no reason being another imperialistic characteristic for influencing our dumbed out populace.
