Although women make up a small percentage of Army and Air Force personnel, nearly half of all discharges last year related to “don’t ask, don’t tell” were of women. The Pentagon could not explain to The New York Times why the numbers were so much higher for women, but it continues to stand by the policy.

New York Times:

The Army and Air Force discharged a disproportionate number of women in 2007 under the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy that prohibits openly gay people from serving in the military, according to Pentagon statistics gathered by an advocacy group.

While women make up 14 percent of Army personnel, 46 percent of those discharged under the policy last year were women. And while 20 percent of Air Force personnel are women, 49 percent of its discharges under the policy last year were women.

By comparison for 2006, about 35 percent of the Army’s discharges and 36 percent of the Air Force’s were women, according to the statistics.

What a stupid policy. Homosexuals aren’t good enough to die for their country? What a subtle measure of a sick military culture that is.

Because lesbians are the more likely type to join what is considered a “male” occupation, the military, in the first place.

Who’s telling?  Could it be that female soldiers, unhappy with the war, are taking a lesson from M.A.S.H.‘s Corporal Klinger and getting the modern version of a Section 8?  Are they “outing” themselves, whether they are lesbian or not, just to get out of their military commitment?

The NY Times policy of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Report” is alive and well.

How many were Blatantly Homosexual to th epoint of ‘distraction’ and How many had filed sexual harassment or Assault charges? My guess this has more to do with covering the assailants asses then anything to do with Sexual orientation of these female enlistees. american women have a Tendency to report these crimes, where the indigineous women remain silent for fear of become a ‘Honor Killing’ victim by their own community.
there is a Real story under that headline-An Atrocity. You just will have to Try to DIG alittle deeper, or at least use your power of deductive reasoning to find the reason
The New American “Justice” system- Protect the criminals and discredit or eliminate the victims. God Love this New World Order.

Sex in the military, maybe the women just don’t want to get pregnant.
And, would you like to make it stop raining or to stop people from engaging in sexual intercourse? It sure is hard to have a good time in this world.

If figure skating had “don’t ask, don’t tell,” men would probably bear the brunt.
