Obama Watch
washingtonpost.com

“The Obama Watch,” a segment by Fox host Chris Wallace that counts the days since Barack Obama allegedly promised Wallace an interview, will probably need an extra battery after yet another racist comment by the channel.

The third time’s no charm for Fox News, which has been forced yet again to apologize to Barack Obama for making racist comments against the presumed Democratic nominee. This marks the third “oops” moment for the television channel, all in the span of only two weeks.

The Guardian:

Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News television station has been forced to apologise to Barack Obama for the third time in a fortnight after screening a racially tinged caption referring to his wife Michelle as his “baby mama”.

Bill Shine, senior vice president of programming at Fox, said in a statement on Thursday that a producer “exercised poor judgment” during the segment.

The statement came as Obama established a website to help counter what he referred to as smears and rumours.

and where is the FCC when you need them? Isn’t it their job to monitor these things? What about all the “religious” dim wits??? Aren’t they suppose to be for God’s people…the human kind?

but this really cracks me up. here’s a company who’s been on the frontlines of defending the dreams of a stupid man and his weak followers for years. now theyve come across someone who is actually intelligent (actually intelligent!) and they dont know how to handle it. they dont have a clue on how to even ‘begin’ to strategize a war on obama. what a sad ‘network’ of losers.

Fox not the news is a solid mouth for the special interests it so well represents.  Disgusting as it is, many of the ignorant probably believe Fox is unbiased and the truth.

Empty lies mean empty apologizes.

It is quite clear to me that none of you have ever sat on a Third Class train from Beijing to Ghuanghdough (sp); or nannied two children who just lost their mother to suicide; cause if you had, your responses would be a hell of a lot different. But to each his own, I guess.

If Obama promised Chris Wallace an interview, then why doesn’t CW just call Obama’s office, and say “By When?” and get a date. I cannot imagine Obama would refuse to give a by when date; he’s a professional politician who knows all free publicity is good for him.

More Mainstream Media Murder Inc. Fox News verbal cluster bomb communication! You’d think these people have Ph.D’s in communication theory, and could work out how to communicate clearly, but unfortunately that is not their primary focus! Plausible deniability is. C’est la vie, I guess.

Explaining Genetic Forgiveness Physics to them is like explaining nuclear physics to a three year old; because in the absence of personal genetic existential experience of genetic forgiveness physics, it’s like sending a flicker SOS to a blind man. Might as well fart at thunder…. the futility of humanity!

a black african once told me that black africans would rather have a black african president, even if he wasn’t good to them or had their best interests, or the best interests of their country at heart; than they would want a european president who was good to them, and had their best interests and the best interests of their country at heart.

It appears that the Creator—irrespective of whether you call him God, Allah, Yahweh, the Great Spirit or whomever—has wasted the gifts of forgiveness, compassion, reason, tender love and so much more on humanity. So much for redemption, when humanity is addicted to revenge. It appears humanity’s on a fast track to a BPitt-HFord Irish revenge tragedy, rather than a Swan redemption new beginning.

As usual, I keep farting at thunder….

samosamo..

Try this website, (you can use your internet explorer brower) and it should take you right through it. I do have both browsers installed on my system, and there’s no problem or conflict with them. So, you don’t have to give up one for the other.

yup, fox and rush dine in the same sewer, people of this calibre, really don’t belong in this country, why do we hate illegal aliens and still tolerate fox and rush slobber mouths, and why is it that most of the racist remarks come from the republicans? i just wonder why they are so scared and jealous, didn’t their mommas raise them right? what would it be like if we had an intelligent political organization in this country? on the same note, why do we really need a political gizmo anyway? couldn’t we just have a computer do the electing? no campaign bribes, no lies, only qualified applicants are screened, and the best candidate is selected, for a 1 year term, salary? nope, it is just your turn freddie, step up to the plate. while we are at it, do the same with the reps. and sens., or just have a computer replace them, wow, geeZ, just think of the money we could save with that one alone!!! bring it on baby, liken.

To SamoSamo,
I only have a windows 98 dial-up connection but you can watch this clip on ReBelle nation.  You might have to go back into archives a few days.  Hope this helps.

I am very saddened by the loss of Tim Russert.  His talent as well as his ethics will be deeply missed.

Even sadder is that now so called journalists and other personalities at Fox news now have no bar of excellence to reach for and no conscience to deal with.

Who can we get to fire Rupert Murdock?

cyrena,
What browser did you use and where can I get it? I only have internet explorer 7 and it gives me and yellow caution ‘error on page’ message that has a ‘null’ value in some line of script which I reported to trueout.
Good to see you again too. Don’t let ole bjack bother you.

samosamo…

Glad to see you hear. I wanted to tell you that I finally figured out how to get the comments thing going at truthout. I’ve been reading there daily for nearly 5 years, and I was so tickled when I discovered that they’d added that capacity.

But…I’d come up on the same problems as you had, (when you described it as a train wreck) And, I wasn’t connecting with the comments. Finally I decided to try the other browser, and that did the trick.

Meantime, they see to be working the bugs out now, though I’m still adjusting to the new format.

While that may be a record for Fox News it does not begin to account for all the things they’ve said and done for which they have not apologized:

Madrassas, flag pins, pledge of allegiance, Rev. Wright, etc…..

Yet McCain gets an hour long infomercial yesterday and Sean Hannity announces on air that he is a McCain surrogate.

John McCain - NOPE (t-shirts and stickers available).

Reason, you were reading my mind here..

“...It must be horrible to spend years of ones life trying to establish yourself as a journalist and then find yourself working for the television equivalent of the National Enquirer…”

And ya know…whether it’s a career in journalism, or a career in anything else, (ever after devoting a lifetime up to that point) when it gets to this, then the real professional has to cut it loose, if only to remain true to oneself.

That’s not to say that one won’t be hungry, but that’s what it boils down to. When you find yourself working for the equivalent of the National Enquirer, or the equivalent of the same in ANY industry, it’s time to make a break.

And you’re right. This is only a sampling. They’ve actually been at it all along. I received an email from a former colleague today, advising of this website that was set-up. But in the explanation that my friend provided with the website address, she was citing the Muslim rumors, so I thought maybe she was just sort of ‘late’ getting the news. In other words, those Muslim rumors have been circulating since day one. I think I got the first one in my email at least 2 years ago. So, I figured that everybody was over that by now.

But, there’s no doubt that the attacks have remained consistent in absolutely everything else. And there is always, always, always, the DENIAL that it has anything at all to do with his race.

Seems like they’d get tired of apologizing. But, like Johnny said..they aren’t sorry anyway, so they’ll just keep doing it.

This is just a sampling of what you can expect from the republican party “hacks” and their supporters in the following months. It seems they feel they can say and do anything they like as long as they say “sorry” afterward. It must be horrible to spend years of ones life trying to establish yourself as a journalist and then find yourself working for the television equivalent of the National Enquirer.

They aren’t sorry. They keep issuing apologies but they keep reminding their viewers that “He ain’t one of us”.
