Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton met face to face on Thursday to discuss how they can best unite their campaigns and the Democratic Party. Clinton has wavered on whether she would like to be vice president, and Obama has appealed for patience on the matter. Still, if the subject didn’t come up, it would certainly have been the elephant in the room. Unless John McCain was hiding behind the couch.

BBC:

Democratic hopeful Barack Obama has had an unannounced meeting with his defeated rival Hillary Clinton.

The talks came two days after Mr Obama effectively clinched the nomination for November’s US presidential election.

A spokesman for Mr Obama said the two former opponents met to talk about bringing their campaigns together and uniting the party.

I think Hillary is more concerned about retiring her $50 million campaign debt than anything else. She and Bill face court in California in November over their past fundraising foibles. The last thing she needs is to show up to court in greater debt.

That, and Hillary’s star has taken quite a dive in New York, where Daniel Patrick Moynehan is waging a battle for her Senate seat in 2010.

Hill is sooooooooo screwed these days. All this kitchen-sink throwing, earth-scorching maniacal craziness Penn, Ickes, T-Mac, and their Clintonista minions have deployed against Obama have made her an untennable VEEP candidate for the ticket. And, the coming Obama victory against Grampy Mac in November is going to dissolve all her hopes for a 2012 presidential come-back, particularly once she’s lost her Senate seat.

Still, though, she’s amassed some hefty bills for this feckless campaign toward political irrelevance. And, her credit is so bad with most folks, no one is accepting checks from her these days. She hasn’t paid anyone since Ohio, from most accounts. Indiana University is still seething over her stiffing them. So, I imagine she met with Obama to spread her bills out on Fienstien’s dining room table and negotiate debt-payment assistance. She desperately needs to moonlight as an Obama supporter in a very lucretive way.

John McCain wasn’t there, but the elephant certainly was. We have allowed far to many democrats to take on the mantle of so-called conservative under the mistaken notion that’s what we want.

Even conservatives are fed up with conservative policy. And very possibly that conservative-like posture is the real reason so many dems are uncomfortable with the idea of Hillary as president.

Hats off to Obama for not losing it. He’s a stronger person than most of us. And remarkably patient!

Gee, I don’t know. She is a US Senator from a major state, an internationally known and loved authority on women, health care, and diplomacy, an author, a millionaire - poor Hillary, what will she do next?

Aren’t pundits stupid?

Coronation News Service

(Mena, AR) The Clinton for President campaign announced that HRM Hillary, would be open to being on the ticket with Obama as his VP candidate

J.W. Booth, Clinton’s Manager of Thought, said that Hillary knows that being on the ticket with Obama would give her a “shot” at the presidency.

Booth read from a statement issued by HRM Hillary that said, “My adoring thong of dedicated, if not obsessive followers, need to know that I am not giving up my quest for the presidency, as that is both my right and what I am entitled to, as the heir to the never-ending Bush and Clinton families dominance over the White House.”

“We will not give up this fight, but I have had to change my “target” date for acquiring the presidency” read the statement from HRM Hillary.

L. Harvey Oswald, Clinton’s Manager of Perceptions, said he was all for HRM Hillary setting her “sights” on the VP spot.

“Hell”, said Oswald, “Everyone knows that politics makes for some strange bedfellows and even stranger occurrences. HRM Hillary would be foolish to “shoot” away this chance at the White House, by any means available.”

S. Ceerhan, an avid fan of HRM Hillary, was very enthusiastic about HRM Hillary taking “aim” at the top spot thru the Obama-Clinton ticket.

“Heck, that’s a “killer” combo that definitely should win the White House for this dedicated team.  I just wish some discontents would stop “sniping” about this dream ticket.”

HRM Hillary was not available for comment, said her Manager of Reality, J.E. Ray, due to Clinton being on a personal guided tour of the Barrett Rifle Company in Murfreesboro, TN, makers of the .50 caliber Long Range Sniper Rifle.
