Defense Auditors Can’t Keep UpPosted on May 28, 2008Thanks to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the privatization of the military and the surge in defense spending since 9/11, individual Pentagon auditors now have to keep track of more than three times as much money as they did 10 years ago. Because of limited resources, the Defense Department inspector general revealed in a recent report, about half of the military’s $316 billion weapons budget went under the radar last year. That’s a recipe for “fraud, waste and ... abuse,” warns the IG. Get Truthdig Editor Robert Scheer’s take on defense spending here.

But Allen Wood, the mantra of conservatives is SMALL GOVERNMENT! It costs money and takes bodies to oversee a 750 billion dollar budget. Go figure!
What lies and hypocrisy!

I cannot be made to understand why BILLIONS and TRILLIONS of dollars entrusted to the United States Government cannot be accounted for. We are constantly loosing track of property which includes Aircraft, Tanks, missles including nuclear laptop computers, and cash. I have not even mentioned the small arms and ammo that are MIA. When are the American people going to demand an explanation to this outright fraud and stupidity? I work for a thriving machine shop that manufactures everything from radar units to bone chisels and I can tell you that I am required to account for every piece of every shop order that I help to produce, and EVERY MINUTE OF MY TIME SPENT WHILE ON MY WORK SHIFT! God Help Me if the figures don’t add up. How much more mismanagement are the American Taxpayers going to be saddled with? When Is Someone Going To Commit To Stopping This Travesty?

I alsways remember ‘Treason, WarCrimes and Crimes against Humanity’ but forget the huge crime of Embezzlement. Probably should be first on the list since it is the motivating factor- ‘Root of All Evil’. but in the Bigger scope of things is appears to be the least OUTRAGING factor.
Report thisHow many Counts does it take to put away someone for Life without Parole?? That would of course include a Freeze & seize response too, Right? If they hold Stock we get that Too, right? It should be replaced into the National Fund ( Oh we will be Firing the ‘Federal Reserve TOO, along with all other incompetent and Criminal Private Companies). Now we will probably be held responisble for Loans they took out by Forging OUR SIGNATURE,So how do we ‘recapture’ those ‘future’ payments do from those countries whom They were willing to use as LOAN SHARKS??Certainly we have SOME recourse for this NATIONAL TREASURY CRIME as it relates to the Past Present & Future!

Think it is an accident that they don’t have enough man power to track the money? Another example of Military Industrial Complex complete control of the military. We are just along for the ride.
