McCain Pushes Hagee, Parsley AwayPosted on May 23, 2008This wasn’t the best week for Sen. John McCain’s (former) religious advisers, the Revs. John Hagee and Rod Parsley—primarily because the Republican front-runner has effectively given them both the political heave-ho following the public re-airing of their takes on Israel and Islam, respectively.

Im taking the bait russ, even though I know perfectly well, that YOU know perfectly well, that McCain not only accepted this racist assholes endorsement, the SOUGHT IT! He went after it russ, because he is a flippin hypocrite, and a liar, and he didnt just START lying. He went after this endorsement because Hagee has a huge congregation of other morons, and AND a whole bunch of money that the same morons, racists, and hate mongers give him.
Now his whole campaign staff is disintegrating because he finally figured out that it didnt look so straight talk express for him to have all of those LOBBYISTS surrounding him. So somebody decided that there would be a new rule that one couldnt be a lobbyists, and ALSO a paid worker on his campaign staff. So..they all left to return to their lobbying jobs full time.

McCain Defends Hagee: He Said That His Words Were Taken Out Of Context.
On Bill Bennetts radio show this morning, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said he repudiates any comments by hard-line conservative Pastor John Hagee that are anti-semetic or anti-Catholic, racist, any other. I repudiate the words that create that impression, said McCain.
But unlike his previous, half-hearted attempts to distance himself from Hagee, McCain also spoke up in the controversial pastors defense, saying that Hagee said that his words were taken out of context:
I will say that he said that his words were taken out of context, he defends his position. I hope that maybe youd give him a chance to respond. He says he has never been anti-Catholic, but I repudiate the words that create that impression.
McCain then said he could look past Hagees bigoted comments because when we were doing the No Surrender tour, he came and spoke on behalf of not surrendering in Iraq.

TPM’s Own McCain/Hagee Timeline
By Eric Kleefeld - May 23, 2008, 9:51AM
In the wake of John McCain’s public rejection of John Hagee’s endorsement, a prize he had sought for some time up until the Texas primary, we here at TPM have assembled a timeline documenting their political relationship from 2007 to the present.
Check it out here.

Have YOU ever read that in the bible russ? Yep, I bet you probably have. So its all just a big misunderstanding of course, and its all taken out of context since he didnt say it himself, those few hundred times in his sermons. It wasnt him, it was the bible talking out of context and all he was doing was repeating what the bible said. He says the same thing about Jews and homosexuals, and starts in on people of color from time to time as well, and you can look THAT shit up on your own.
Report thisI know, I know he didnt say the words, spiritual advisor. He just did everything he could to get the guys endorsement/money/votes of morons.
How does that surprise you? Its from the McSame playbood as the shrub.

I think McCain also called Hagee a ‘strong leader’ and explained how pleased he was to have his endorsement.
Since this TOO, was WIDELY published, I’m not even gonna bother to provide any of the numerous links, because Russ has a full time job devoted to lying and denying and obfusciating.
Let him collect his troll paycheck from the McCain lobbyists and AIPAC.
We only have 6 more months to put up with him, unless the repugs run completely out of money first. Then again, he’d probably volunteer his troll time.
So, just 6 more months. Once Obama becomes president, russ will hightail it to Israel to take up residence.

I love it. The GE hasn’t even really begun yet, and McCain is throwing weight into the sea! Sorry, Johnny, those holes in your record are not going to be plugged up by fat televangelists. };>

Hagee has millions of loyal followers. They mindlessly soak up his invectives, hate, and hostility. Perhaps his sordid past plays some part in his demeanor. His apparent hypocrisy regarding Jews is astonishing, but perhaps he has been using them for his own purposes. In any case, he is a dangerous fanatic, like Parseley .

While the two creeps that McShame allowed the public to think were his religious advisors gained some milieage out of the presumed relationship, he lost even more of his credibility. Not much left anymore!
Any intelligent person knows that McShame is a shameless politician and that he will seek support whereever he thinks he can get it - and then repudiate it if and when the public notices!
Why do irreligious politicians like McShame think that putting on a religious front duriing a campaign makes sense?
