Sen. Edward M. Kennedy is recuperating at Boston’s Massachusetts General Hospital after suffering a seizure Saturday at his Cape Cod home. Kennedy, 76, was reportedly in good spirits later that day, spending time with family members and watching a Red Sox game on television.

AP via My Way News:

On Saturday morning, Kennedy felt ill at his home and went to Cape Cod Hospital, [Kennedy spokeswoman Stephanie] Cutter said. After a discussion with his doctors in Boston, the senator was flown to Massachusetts General.

An official who declined to be identified by name, citing the sensitivity of the events, had earlier said that Kennedy had stroke-like symptoms. The hospital declined to comment on his condition.

In October, Kennedy had surgery to repair a nearly complete blockage in a major neck artery. The discovery was made during a routine examination of a decades-old back injury.

There was once an advertisement from Volkswagen that showed a VW Beetle floating in the water with a caption like… IF ED (TED) KENNEDY DROVE A VOLKSWAGEN HE’D BE PRESIDENT TODAY….in reference to Mary Jo Kopechne and her death while a passenger in Ted’s car on July 18, 1969. The Ad was pulled of course, but some people saw it. There was apparently a large delay in Ted’s reporting of this accident, and questions remain concerning what really happened. For some reason, I don’t feel that Mr. Kennedy deserves the respect of so many Americans. He was born into a powerful, rich family, and as we all know, Power Corrupts. Karma is kicking in finally. Everyone pays thier dues, and his bill just arrived.

The main problem I have with teddy is that he never ran for president. Had he done that, then he would have never retained a permanant seat in the senate. I would hate to have to choose between him and tom delay for anything.
Now we are left with someone who in my opinion may not be mentally qualified to hold public office. But, power and money rules the day and people in this country think a face makes for a smarter and wiser head of a community.

The man behind the scandle of the century and protected by the democratic party operatives for as long.

Man is a liar, crook and a murderer. Yet you hold him so high. Continue to elect him and worship his bullshit policies.

Here is hoping for the death bed confession….

At last report Ted and his bottle of gin are both resting comfortably.

Ted is expected to recover while the bottle of gin was not expected to make it through the night.

for all the things that are not so flattering about Teddy, This Ol’ True Blue Dem has always had a fondness for Teddy despite himself (He has things to answer for regarding the state of affairs also- last 40 yrs not a stellar time in our history- Solution or other half of the Problem?
But I wish him a speedy Recovery, whole heartedly. We could use his Help Now! I’ll take an ‘insider’ who is working for me even only half the time
Wish this was about something I could give him hell for instead!
Get Well Soon Teddy!
