As the Democratic convention draws closer, the candidates are making their cases more and more directly to the superdelegates. On the Sunday before the Indiana and North Carolina primaries, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton each made hour-long appearances on morning talk shows that few voters actually watch. It’s the party insiders who never miss a “Meet the Press” who probably will decide the nomination, and the candidates know it.

AP via Google:

Two presidential candidates, two celebrity interviewers, two agendas, one audience: the undecided superdelegates likely to select the Democratic nominee.

Just two days before key primaries in Indiana and North Carolina, the peculiar ritual of the Sunday news show took on high drama as Obama and Clinton each made hour-long solo appearances—Obama on NBC’s “Meet the Press” and Clinton on ABC’s “This Week.” While the shows are seen by relatively few voters, they hold considerable sway among opinion leaders.

I saw the interview with Obama but I couldn’t stomach watching Stephanopoulos fox trot with Hillary. No one makes the connection between her Rocky “I’m a fighter” routine and Bush’s “stay the course” mentality that has gotten us into this awful mess.

What is going on currently is nothing short of bizarre. In Hillary’s world every result is winning, even if she loses. She is like a tennis player who is down 5 love in the final set. She wins two games before losing the match 6-2, and claims she should be given the winning trophy because momentum is on her side. But what about the score? Don’t confuse her with such elitist concepts. She’s just a down home folk—have you noticed how Bill’s southern draw has increased exponentially during his 17 stops in a single day?

Russert was disgusting. They have the power to nip the non-issue of Reverend Wright in the bud but they refuse. The media will continue to behave accordingly. They have manufactured a neck-and-neck marathon race that does not in fact exist. They don’t report the news, they create it. If it doesn’t fit their agenda—like the major story in the New York Times about all of the Generals on the take for the Pentagon—the story goes unreported.

If you are looking for substance, read Tom Friedman’s amazing article in the New York Times this past weekend about Americans facing reality.

In the meantime, CNN continued non-stop this morning to suggest that there is an upset in the making in North Carolina. On what did they base this new drama—on the “fact” that Bill would not be going to all these cities if he didn’t know Hillary was going to win. Pathetic.

Just to get down to basics, and face the real truth, the only reason Obama has a chance to be president, is because he’s Black (and you know what they say about Blacks).

And the only reason Hillary has a chance to be president is because she has no balls.

Think about it as you cast your vote.

Hopefully, the relative ratings of ‘Meet the Press’, where Obama appeared, and ‘This Week’, where Hillary appeared, will be reflected in the decisions of the superdelegates, since Timmeh has a two- or three-to one lead over Georgie.

By the way, since the Clinton campaign is so financially challenged, those thick envelopes Bill and Hillary are passing out as they ‘make their cases’ to the superdelegates, are stuffed with IOU’s, not cash.

I dunno, would you trust a Hillary IOU?
