Poll Shows Obama Up, Doubts on Clinton’s Honesty

Obama and Clinton
msnbc.com

One poll shows Obama with a sizable national lead over Clinton, though the race appears to show no signs of winding down as the candidates make their way to the August Democratic Convention in Denver.

As the race for the Democratic nomination slogs ahead, a new Washington Post-ABC News poll shows Barack Obama with a 10-point national lead over Hillary Clinton, with the added insult of six in 10 voters seeing Clinton as neither honest nor trustworthy.

The Washington Post:

Sen. Barack Obama holds a 10-point lead over Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton when Democrats are asked whom they would prefer to see emerge as the party’s presidential nominee, but there is little public pressure to bring the long and increasingly heated contest to an end, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

The fierce battle, however, appears to have taken a toll on the image of Clinton, who was once seen as the favorite. And Obama has widened his lead since early February on several key qualities that voters are looking for in a candidate and has narrowed sizable advantages for Clinton on others.

He now has a 2-to-1 edge on who is considered more electable in a general contest—a major reversal from the last poll—and has dramatically reduced a large Clinton lead on which of the two is the “stronger leader.”

I am talking to my friends,as well as praying that the majority of Americans will be able to see through the mess and the emotional roller coaster and spin which Senator Clinton hopes will make folks abandon their good sense and their hope for a better America for all of us,and vote their emotions.
The nineties were good economically, but there is more
to Nation-building than pocket book matters. There is the need to rebuild our moral standing at home and abroad.  We need to change in some fundamental ways, and only Senator Obama has given the vision for that possibility. If he is not the Candidate for President I will still vote for the Dems, but with a heavy heart.

Why is a national poll on the primary even relevant?  Most of the country has already voted.  The only polls that matter now are those predicting the winners of the upcoming contests.

It doesn’t matter what people think of her! Hillary vows to fight the good fight and charge into battle every morning after a swig of crown royal and gutting a deer to feed her pups. hahaha

She can still win!! hahaha!!! (falls to floor)

This is disgusting. There should be absolutely no doubt about Hillary’s honesty.

She has none.

You can’t trust them, there not always credible.

There are so many going on right now, and mostly all show different results.

All we can do is just wait and see what happens.

Someone has to explain to me why polls are so popular to report on? Really, the information doesn’t do anything to help anyone other than the candidates running. Should we feel happy other people feel the way we do, or should we feel enraged that more of the American public feels a certain way about our candidate? What’s the purpose?

I know Hillary is a liar, but I also know Obama isn’t going to swoop down and bring on a utopian society. What are polls supposed to do? Which mafia bookie is taking bets on the presidency? I don’t think we need an over-under sports spread to determine what candidate is best for America.
