Bush’s Place in History: Last

George W. Bush has said that history will determine the greatness of his presidency. According to an informal poll by George Mason University’s History News Network, 98 percent of historians polled rated Bush’s presidency a failure. Sixty-one percent ranked him last among presidents, while only 4 percent placed him among the top two-thirds.

History News Network:

“As far as history goes and all of these quotes about people trying to guess what the history of the Bush administration is going to be, you know, I take great comfort in knowing that they don’t know what they are talking about, because history takes a long time for us to reach.”—George W. Bush, Fox News Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008

A Pew Research Center poll released last week found that the share of the American public that approves of President George W. Bush has dropped to a new low of 28 percent.

An unscientific poll of professional historians completed the same week produced results far worse for a president clinging to the hope that history will someday take a kinder view of his presidency than does contemporary public opinion.

Bush cheated in Ohio in 2004 and there was proof that was ignored. In one district there were over 2.5 times as many votes cast(mostly for Bush) than there were registered voters in that area. Another incident(several) the voting machines kicked out more votes for every one cast for Bush,i.e. 1 vote equaled 10 vote toward Bush. Other machines took the vote for Kerry but tallied it up for Bush. There were also hacked into machines to change the end results and it has been proven also.

When Kerry stepped down, there was evidence that the majority of voting machines in New Mexico turned almost all votes over to Bush regardless of the original ballot vote. Kerry made a short statement that he knew he would not win the true vote as the voted were altered(wording close to that). He knew no matter what the voting people wanted it was stolen by the PTB.

Watch the documentary,” Hanging Democracy”, it reveals how easy it is to cheat and steal the election and also how the manual ballot counting is really done in this country. YOUR VOICE AND CHOICE MEAN NOTHING to these corrupt people.

The real approval test is how a president is received at a baseball game.  Watch this to see how badly Bush was boo’d at a game recently.  The only person that may have gotten more boo’ing was his vice president!

Life in solitary confinement should be his fate. Who could ever deserve it more?

And how about Bush “prison cam” for the world to view?

This would be a picnic compared to his ultimate final destination where Saddam is now the permanent ruler and he wants his pistol back!

Bush’s rightful place in history will be at the end of a length of greased hemp. A fitting end for the war criminals of any nation.

It’s still unclear if Ohioans actually elected Bush, or if the irregularities in voting threw the election to him wrongly.

But with the Indiana and Pennsylvania primaries approaching, it might be helpful to look again at the heartland state that lies between the two: Ohio.

Eastern Ohio has very similar demographics to the abutting state of Pennsylvania. Western Ohio, likewise, has much in common with neighbors across the state line in Indiana.

Kentucky and West Virginia, to the south, and Michigan, across Ohio’s northern border, also share many of these elements

The article noted below looks at many demographics, histories and psychologies of this region from the point of view of Ohioans, and provides insight about Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia and Michigan:

The main reason most people voted for Bush, he supposedly received 3 million more votes in 2004, they wanted a tax cut.(Which is why McCain might win.) Most do not want to pay for the military budget, $4-5 Trillion over the past 7 years, Bush’s Iraq war, $600+ Billion and growing, farm subsidies, Katrina spending, corporate subsidies, now Wall Street subsidies, the same folks who paid themselves $38 billion in bonuses 3 months ago, all adding up to another $3+ Trillion in the national debt.
Where is the leadership to ask people to pay for all the spending? Why couldn’t this President cut Social Security taxes to a 4.0% level from 6.2%, giving the bottom 90% of taxpayers a tax cut, stimulating small business especially, and remove the cap for people making over $102,000 so they pay 4% more all the way up into the millions of income they make.
This would be a tax increase for only the top 10% of taxpayers, who can certainly afford a 4% increase, and help do their share in making the United States at least financially stronger!! They benefit the most from a financially strong economy! It is in their self interest to help balance the budget.

There must be a way to rate Bu$h lower than last. Last - doesn’t do him the justice he so richly deserves. I’d rather see him with a real high prison number.

Remember - he may be a zero to the American public but he’s a hero in the corporate world.

At this point I’m wondering if America has learned anything at all from the presidency of George W. Bush.

Are we going to elect McBush number two? Will we allow our political predjudice to again be manipulated into committing political suicide?

What should be clear at this point is that President Bush has no respect for human life, or truth. No did he honor his oath to protect and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign are domestic. Because he has been it’s greatest enemy in our history.

If we continue on this road with McBush, then The United States will not exist, it’s already close to vanishing. And all the men and women who have died in every struggle this country has ever fought against tyranny and oppression will have died in vain.

I kid you not.

Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country. The situation is dire.

Bush leaving off is a promotion for the USA.
Maybe now we can get some respect, (assuming McCain does not fill his shoes)

Hopefully, after bush leaves office and McCain goes back to riding on the coat-tails of his rich wife past war glory I will be able to hold my head up as an American again.

Sincerely,

Proud to be an American, but lately embarrassed.

Where would you like to start?

At one point I thought GWB was in the running with Buchanan and Tyler for the worst.  What’s wrong with these historians? Don’t they know that John Tyler clearly ranks Pierce, A.Johnson, Harding and Hoover as the worst by a long shot? Harding at least picked competent Secs of State, Commerce and Treasury and let them do their stuff.  Hoover actually tried to stimulate the economy, establishing a precedent for FDR.  But Tyler not only was incompetent, he managed to p*** off all the members of BOTH parties to make himself ineffective.

Nixon at least opened China and had effective dialogs with Europe, the ME, and the Soviets. Reagan gave some hope to America (while he was letting friends rape it).

But Bush? The only Presidents I’ve seen that were worse were dictators like Noriega, Idi Amin, and, currently, Robert Mugabe.

BTW, this thread has shown up here before, under a different title.

This story is almost a week old!  What took you guys so long?  The question that interests me the most, however, is what, if anything, can we learn from these data?  I put out my own speculations in the wake of the release of those data at:

George Bush should be the first for something. The first President ever to go to prison.
