By nash, April 2: “I’ve had enough of this, we gonna persue happiness, whatever you think, whatever you say...”
I agree about that, nash. Happiness is far more important than the miserable small-mindedness of so many Westerners. They are unhappy themselves and they really just want to put the blame onto someone else, uhh.
Chinese people now have the pioneering spirit that the Americans once had a century ago. All the Anglo countries are slowly failing and you can see it in their shallowness, their mean-spirited begrudging and their criminality in invading and attacking other countries.
So much of what the West buys is made in China these days and they don’t quite realize how dependent they are on China for their food, their clothing and many other manufactured essentials. They won’t be making their own again until they reach the same level costwise on the playing field of globalisation. In the meantime, they owe China money....... and a lot of it.

First, about Chinese food, few days ago,75 children were poisoned by some American milk,do you really think American food is very safe?by the way,China is the country that exports most amount of food.considering the Chinese tradition, some kind of food may not be clean in your view, such as some food sold on the street, that’s ok,we can understand that, but we have 1.3 billion people, we are not as rich as the people in developed countries, these kind of food are actually for the guys who are not that rich, that also become a culture of China as a tradition for thousands of years.
Report thisMost importantly, the food supply of the Olympic will be specially arranged by the government,so just enjoy them.

Japan’s Emperor Akihito and other members of the royal family are unlikely to attend the Beijing Olympics amid concerns here about China’s crackdown in Tibet and other issues, a report said Wednesday.
The Japanese government thinks it is not a good time for a rare royal visit because of the unrest in Tibet, a recent health scare over Chinese-made “gyoza” dumplings and a spat over disputed gas fields, the Sankei daily said.
“We were planning not to ask royals to go even before the gyoza incident (surfaced in January). It is all the more true now that the Tibetan unrest occurred,” it quoted an unnamed government official as saying.
Japanese authorities have confirmed at least 10 people suffered pesticide poisoning after eating tainted dumplings imported from China.
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao invited Emperor Akihito and other royals to the opening ceremony of the August Olympics when he visited Japan last year.
The emperor told Wen then that the government decides on the royal family’s foreign trips, a palace spokesman said.
The foreign ministry said no formal decision had been made.
“Nothing has been decided regarding the attendance of dignitaries,” a ministry official said.
The last trip to China by members of Japan’s imperial household was a landmark visit by Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko in 1992.
China remains deeply resentful over Japan’s brutal occupation from 1931 to 1945, an era in which the Japanese revered Akihito’s father Hirohito as a demigod.
The two countries have recently worked to mend ties, which were strained by former Japanese prime minister Junichiro Koizumi’s annual visits to a war shrine in Tokyo, which Beijing regards as a symbol of Japan’s militarist past.
Chinese President Hu Jintao is expected to visit Japan in the coming months.

YouTube“BBC: Clash that ‘sparked’ Tibet’s violent protests” (obtained by the BBC from security forces in Lhasa) is about the Drepung Monastery protests on March 10 and 11 that were said to have caused the later riots in Lhasa. It started during their celebration of the the 49th anniversary of a previous Tibetan uprising against Chinese rule and a minor incident with security forces quickly escalated into rock-throwing by young monks.
But it was re-interpreted by Tibetan groups as “may have been the initial spark for the ongoing crackdown in Tibet” instead of it being the possible cause of the riots in Lhasa in which so many Chinese were attacked. It was also said to be “proof that the ‘peaceful protesters’ were agitated by the Chinese military” despite the incident being caused by young monks who couldn’t be restrained by senior monks.
Despite the monks obviously being Tibetan, in the Times of India ‘China staging violence in Tibet’ : Chinese soldiers in the garb of Tibetan monks and ordinary people were indulging in violence shown on Chinese television, the Dalai Lama said at a press conference here on Saturday. “To a lay person, soldiers dressed like monks may look like monks. But we watched the images carefully and realized that they were not monks. Also, in a photograph showing a Tibetan with a sword, the sword is Chinese. They all look like Chinese people dressed like Tibetans...” Now, a Tibetan with a Chinese sword....... really!
The crying monks who broke into an organised tour of journalists recently had Tibetan independence on their minds - ‘Beleaguered monks stand defiant’ : Monk Dolkar Jampa says they were confined to their quarters even before they heard about the protests by other monks in Lhasa, which began on March 10 and spread to neighbouring provinces of Qinghai, Gansu, Sichuan and Yunnan.
“We want independence of Tibet,” he says. “Even if the Chinese kill us all, would there be only one Tibetan left, we would still want independence of Tibet.” Monk Chetsang Sakya says he is afraid. “The Chinese Communist Party always harassed us...
Foreign diplomats are in Tibet on a fact-finding visit approved by China, following criticism of Beijing’s crackdown on Tibetan protests, according to the BBC, but a Toronto, Canada Chinese anti-Tibet Independence demonstration has been at risk of threats of violence from some Tibetan bloggers on Phayul forums which has a picture of the Dalai Lama at the top of the page!

Not strictly related to this post, but strongly related to China. Most of the bad things we hear about China are true, however we shouldn’t lose a proper global point of view and I try to show the other part:
