Poor I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby. First, he was tossed under the bus in the kerfuffle over Valerie Plame’s identity leak. Now, as a result of same, Libby’s been stripped of his legal license in Washington, D.C..

Kerfuffle means: disturbance, fuss, altercation. A light thing.
What Libby did was crime. Treasonous crime. A thing as part of a nest of other odious and reprehensible behaviors and crimes that have caused death and colossal damage to our nation.
Libby isn’t funny.
Stop the trite-silly-cocky-cutsy-pie talk; especially if you cannot convey the proper meaning AND crack wise. The meaning always comes first.

So he was stripped of his law license and banned from practicing law in Washington, D.C. Doesn’t that leave the rest of the country he is still free to practice law in with the right credentials?
How about an answer Cyrena, as you have studies law and know more on the subject than I do. Can he practice anywhere else in America? Of course he would have no problem changing his name and getting a false I.D. to continue also.

Scooter Libby is going to get a pardon next year so all of this is Kabuchi theatre.As long as Scooter has a story to tell from the inside the pardon is on the way.It is fun to see the morons gloat that Scooter lost his law license.After the pardon he will get everything back.

It concerns a young woman who was a witness to something so outrageous, something so contrary to the principles of diplomacy and international law, that in revealing it she believed war could be averted. That woman was Katharine Gun, a 29-year-old Mandarin translator at the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) in Cheltenham.
On Friday 31 January 2003 she and many of her colleagues were forwarded a request from the US government for an intelligence “surge” at the United Nations (with hindsight, an interesting choice of words).
In essence, the US was ordering the intensification of espionage at the UN headquarters in New York to help persuade the Security Council to authorise war in Iraq. The aim, according to the email, was to give the United States “the edge” in negotiations for a crucial resolution to give international authorisation for the war. Many believed that, without it, the war would be illegal.
The email was sent by a man with a name straight out of a Hollywood thriller, Frank Koza, who headed up the “regional targets” section of the National Security Agency, the US equivalent of GCHQ. It named six nations to be targeted in the operation: Chile, Pakistan, Guinea, Angola, Cameroon and Bulgaria.
These six so-called “swing nations” were non-permanent members of the Security Council whose votes were crucial to getting the resolution through. It later emerged that Mexico was also targeted because of its influence with Chile and other countries in Latin America, though it was not mentioned in the memo.
But the operation went far wider - in fact, only Britain was specifically named as a country to be exempt from the “surge”....

No big deal, Scootercon will be taken care of by the cabal and he will join the strategic think tank of ex-administration sychophants in order to work on the next new world order operations. Then he will be reinstated and come back to practice ‘constitutional’ law until the neoCONS win back the White House.

This came to my mind as well.
Thing is..this is not a punishment for either of them. Being disbarred hasn’t stopped Bill, or otherwise interfered with anything he’s chosen to do, and apparently hasn’t done much to ‘damage his reputation’.
Same with Scooter. What’s disbarment when one has managed to avoid jail time, or any other meaningful accountability?
Neither of them has lost their homes, or their incomes, and they wont.

But Cheney is not the only Big Fish that Must be Fried, There are many in various sectors who must pay for their Mortal sins. Many who have sat and dined at th etable of Human misery and enslavement - cherishing every bit. Cheney will start the Netting in our country, but willalso lead to those of foreign nations who have not only feasted off US, but their own people and numerous others for decades, Centuries Millenia who must be Revealed as a Head of the Beast.- they wear a Logo, A robe, A Crown, a symbol of Self Proclaimed superiority to mankind. they claim to be Ordained by God, Man or Nature- but are truely only ‘master’s of their own Domains’ within their own minds. it is US who validate their claims, It is US who give them power. Just as the paper and rocks we accept as anything more than a Promise.These hold no value. Mankind has been Ordained th e Stewards of this Planet, We have been given ‘Gifts’ which enrich our lives, but require constant tending to assure we atttain our goal.. to ‘Pay it forward’ to hand down the beauty & majesty we have been given. By a god or by Nature we are the only species who can truely comprehend the emormity of this we call life. thus we are the only species who is responsible for it in it’s entirety and continuation. A man’s worth is not counted at the bank.
