Please try to read it. I am not at all concerned that MY tax dollars are being spent on the upgrading of the hospital facilities in Chicago.

(I was actually in the hospital once..it was like 1979 or 1980) I was a resident of Chicago at the time, and I paid my bill..the docs and the hospital and the staff and all of the related people were paid , and I received the medical care that I needed.

That is how societies work Gomerspile. Instead of you being GRATEFUL for that, (presuming you live in that area) you’re tuning it into a big ass conspiracy, which is of course EXACTLY what the rulers expect to happen with the ignorant masses. It is a tried and true method.

Now I can tell you that the folks in Los Angeles would LOVE to have whatever has been provided by way of these updated hospital facilities. Less than a year ago, one of the PRIMARY hospital facilities servicing a large percentage of the mostly lower and poor income residents was fucking SHUT DOWN!! They have NO hospital.

Stop whining. I have ZERO sympathy for your ass, whining about something that you should be grateful as hell for.

And like I said, I don’t believe for an instant that my money as a citizen is being used to pay for that facility in Chicago. NO. My money, and my sister’s childrens’ money, and the money from everybody I know, is being poured through the sands of the Middle East, along with our BLOOD, in order to further enrich the military industrial complex, to the tune of TRILLIONS, yes..I said TRILLIONS of dollars, while you dicker around and piss and moan about a measly $250k that you claim was somehow pilfered from Rezko, to somehow wind up in the coffers of some ‘previous’ campaign of Barack Obama.

I said all of that to say that it isn’t about democrats and repuglicans gomers, and I’m sick of telling you this. It’s about a very small group of the social ruling elite, of which Billary, Bush, Cheney, Madoch, Bloomberg, and I could go on, are a part. Billary could be a repug just as easily (if not more) than they could be democrats. And that goes for the whole lot of them, as they switch back and forth.

They aren’t loyal to you or I or anyone other than their OWN cabal, and the ideology is WEALTH and POWER. Period.

Barack Obama is NOT in that group. He’s not from the background, for the obvious reasons and the less than obvious reasons.

My comment was that you suggested that Obama’s kids attended school at the U of C (Law School) and the point is that they are 6 and 8 years old. My point, (and NOT as a personal belittlement) was exactly how ridiculous MOST of the stuff is that comes from MOST of the sources that you seem likely gain information.

That was it. There is a difference between investigative and informational journalism and just plain gossip columns, and it doesn’t MATTER ‘which side of the AISLE’ they come from. I tried explaining this to you months ago. You are very stuck, (as is bert) in your respective ‘sides’ of a political party or ideology, where the ‘other’ is ALWAYS the ‘enemy’.

But in the reality of the 21st Century, none of that even APPLIES anymore. Specifically it doesn’t apply to U.S. POLITICS. Yes, it would be EASIER if it did, and YES, there was a time when those things such as conservative, liberal, right, left, republican, and democratic actually meant something. Not PERFECT identifiers, but something folks could sort through easier. NONE of that has much relevance at all any longer, and most of what the news/information now, is simply lacking in any real substance.

That is yet another loss, because journalism should be more professional in what it provides, since it should be a PUBLIC resource. It is something that should be available to EVERY citizen, so that citizens can be informed. It should NOT be a tool for/of the ruling class, to perpetrate propaganda or to cover up the stuff they don’t want us to know. But, that’s what happens in fascist societies. The media becomes very important to maintaining the chaos.

Since the highjacking of our government, the majority of the population has been lied to, left in the dark, or given totally incorrect information about the things that affect us ALL. That isn’t good for ANYBODY. What it actually does, is to create exactly the environment that allows for any sort of fascist/totalitarian regime or dictatorship to take over.

It creates INSTABILITY within the social structure, and fascist regimes STRIVE on chaos and instability among the populace. Without it, the takeover could not happen. When a small cabal, intent on total control, can use the standard tactics of divide and conquer, that’s when the breakdown occurs, classes into masses and a social structure into chaos.

That’s what we have here, when we see the classes destroyed, be they laborers, merchants, farmers, professionals, technocrats, bureaucrats, or whatever other combination of classes make up any society, become further and further lumped together AND further removed to the periphery. On the one hand, we’re all reduced to a single mass, but among us, nobody knows what the hell is going on, or where the orders/info is coming from, or who’s in charge. Welcome to Hitler’s Nazi Germany of the 1930’s.

As resources become scarce, the economy tips further and further out of balance. 10% of the population owns/controls 90% of the total wealth and resources, which leaves the remaining 90% of us, to FIGHT for that 10%. The extreme imbalance and this increasing scapegoating of EACH OTHER, (instead of the tiny sliver that is creating the destruction) is evident here and now.

So while the MAJORITY of us stand around and blame ‘the other’ or the liberals, or the black guy, or the conservatives, or those damn illegals, the few at the top are laughing all the way to the bank, (or Dubai, or Paraguay)  as they watch us destroy ourselves. Keeping us ignorant is the best way to accomplish that.

And if perchance, somebody – ANYBODY, comes along who is perceived as ‘catching on’ to the game and maybe making a change to the status quo that protects this whole game, THAT person becomes number one in line for the take down.

Part 2

Even a very superficial glimpse of history proves this out. Look at MLK…they took him down because he could have (and it looked like he might) break-up this racket that advantaged one small portion of the ruling class to the disadvantage of the rest of us. As long as the little people are fighting among themselves, we don’t NOTICE what is happening on a much larger scale. You and I are engaged in an argument over a $20.00 bill, and paying no attention as the thugs drive off with both of our cars, and all of our groceries, with the kids chained to the bumper.

You and I can engage in an argument about God, race, and a few dollars, while these people who don’t give a damn about GOD or RACE, or anything other than TOTAL POWER and control, are having a field day.

ANY TIME ANY PERSON comes to the forefront and starts talking about some change that is going to enfranchise MORE of the classes, and bring them into the center, and redirect the flow of resources so that EVERYBODY has a piece of the pie, they automatically become dangerous to the status quo. It’s that simple, and it’s not new.

THAT is the case with Barack Obama. He’s talking about something that can actually be accomplished, but not without redistributing the power and the resources, at least to an extent, so that the society can operate as a whole, because it becomes more balanced. That makes him a MAJOR threat to the established rulers. Those very few who run the whole game.

As a result, you have tons and tons of efforts to break that possible challenge to the ruling class/elite. The best way to do that, is to spread gossip and innuendo, and create fiction based on inherent and long established human prejudices that already exit..such as race/class/ideology. They feed on the envy of those who feel that they have been left out of the wealth, by creating an ‘enemy’ for the people, when in fact that person or persons are not enemies at all.

And ALWAYS, it means confusion and chaos. It means creating the group or sheep mentality, where people are fed bits of disinformation taken out of context, and all to keep everyone in the dark, so that as a group, we are unable to share information and decide what is best for ALL of us. It’s SO old, and it’s SUCH a time worn tactic, that most folks miss it.

My point in the story of Obama’s kids and his wife, was first to show just how easy it is for something to be made into something else in the class mind, even if the information itself is wrong to begin with. What you posted that created the very wrong impression, was NOT just a typo difference between U of C and U of I. What you were suggesting was that there was some nefarious “connection” between an upgrade to a PUBLIC resource/hospital in Chicago, and the fact that the hospital was connected to Obama, because he had taught at the LAW School, (NOT the HOSPITAL affiliated with the MEDICAL school of a different campus) and that the daughters attended the same school, and that the wife worked at the same hospital.

Gomerspile..do you see how that is ALL a CREATED and BOGUS ‘connection’, because the hospital has nothing to do with the fact that Obama was once a professor of law at U of C, (and they never mention his teaching at DePaul as well) and his daughters could HARDLY be attending the same school, because they are only 6 and 8 years old!

I have NO idea how they came up with the part about Michelle Obama somehow being connected, because she’s an attorney, not a medical professional!! And because the kids are only 6 and 8 years old, it’s highly unlikely that Michelle Obama has been involved in any full time employment in the past decade!!  I mean come on!! Think about that. It’s not to say that she doesn’t use her training to do professional work, but the woman has 2 small kids, and a husband who’s at least been employed in a capacity that would pay enough to support them, without her having to work at a hospital in ANY capacity.

Part 3

So think about stuff just from what really IS, using common sense and a standard of NORMS, and you’d see how the article that you posted, REGARDLESS of where it came from, does nothing more than appeal to a certain sense of conspiracy among those who like to indulge in those things, in a society that is intentionally left in the dark by the ruling class. Everybody becomes suspect, and everybody is paranoid.

In reality, the Obamas are a fairly standard American family, who happen to be black. They are NOT and never HAVE BEEN part of the ‘elite’ or ruling class, any more than Martin Luther King, Jr. was. Both are educated, but that is NOT a crime, and they live what has been classified in the old century as a pretty middle class life style. That isn’t a CRIME either! They go to church, but their church does NOT define their lives any more than it defined mine.

In short, there’s nothing particularly REMARKABLE here, aside from the fact that he’s a smart guy, who can put things together, and come up with an efficient plan to LEAD Americans back to a more productive and SELF-SUSTAINING society, and he has a genuine desire to do that!

That’s why even if all of the stuff in that article were true, it wouldn’t matter!! It’s not IMPORTANT where his kids go to school, or where his wife works. It’s just NOT.

It’s NOT IMPORTANT what Rev. Wright says to his 12,000 member Congregation either. He’s been around since LONG before Barack Obama became ONE member of that 12,000-member congregation! He’s not his father, he didn’t raise him, and he’s not living with him or sleeping with him!!

So when you, or bert, or really ANYBODY posts this sort of stuff, I’m not specifically or personally belittling YOU! I’m making a greater point that far too many of us are picking bark and leaves off of the trees and examining them under a microscope, while the FOREST is BURNING around us! THAT is what I’m saying. It’s not about you, or bert, or me, or anybody else as a specific individual. It’s about all of us. Because, with the exception of that tiny percentage of people running the entire show, we’re all the same, and we’re going down together, unless we can collectively save our own asses. To pillory and attempt to destroy any possible help in that effort, (the destruction of Barack Obama) is playing right into the hands of the people and the circumstances that got us to this point to begin with.

Now, to answer your questions. I told you long ago that I do not own a car, because my income is very small, and I can’t afford one. I could not afford the gas, maintenance, or insurance required to operate it.  Fortunately, where I live now, public transportation is available, even though it’s not the best. I am grateful for it because in so many places in this country, even THAT is not available, further pushing more and larger portions of our society to the periphery, putting them out of distance to the resources that should be available to any modern society, schools, commerce, hospitals, means of employment, communications, INFORMATION, (media – real NEWS etc).

I support myself from what is a small retirement income based on the fact that I worked very hard for over 35 years. I’m fully aware that it could evaporate at any time, and that it is actually only worth about 1/3rd of what it was when I began collecting it 4 years ago, because it is disbursed in US dollars.

My continuing education is also financed by my own ongoing contributions to the education of anyone who wants and needs one.  Call it the barter system if you wish.

I THOUGHT my latest computer was coming from a U.S. manufacturer (Gateway, SD, made by US workers) because that’s where I’d ordered it from. (same as in the past) THIS time, it was delivered from Shanghai. I was very pissed when I discovered that. It prompted me to find out just exactly what the hell was going on around here, (the U.S. in the 21st Century) and that’s what I’m still working on.

How’re Barak’s girls doing? It was 2 weeks ago when Barack promised to read the latest Harry Potter to Malia. (She’s the oldest..the 8 year old) and then just an hour or so ago, you mentioned that both of them were attending school at the University of Chicago Law School.

So, I’m guessing by now, at least Malia should be on the Supreme Court, and Sasha should preparing for her Attorney General confirmation hearings. (she’s 6).

Those black kids are just so SMART!

I mean, once Obama gets to the White House, and has to take that cut in pay, she’ll probably have to get back to work as soon as possible.

I can’t say that I know exactly how the thing on earmarks connects to the repugs ripping off yet more money. (though in reality, what a million here or there, when there’s several trillion missing in the Middle East?)

And then I can’t connect the earmarks to the upgrade of the hospital there at the U of C, or to Obama.

BUT…that’s OK. The U of C is an excellent school, with an attendant medical school. (Kind of like the connection between USC and the LA County Hospital) In short, they train good docs.

And then there’s the real boost to the community, if the clinical capacity can be increased by over 1/3rd. It’s been a long time coming, and I sure hope they’ll be able to do that at more places across the nation.
