Vaya con Karl Marx: McCain takes questions about Castro during a meet-and-greet in Miami’s Little Havana on Thursday.

Sen. John McCain, campaigning in Indianapolis, said Cuba won’t be better off under Fidel Castro’s fraternal successor, Raul Castro, whom he called “worse in many respects than Fidel was,” and the Republican front-runner voiced the hope that Fidel will meet his commie maker, Karl Marx, “very soon.”

The Caucus:

And while some have suggested that Raul Castro might take a more reformist approach, Mr. McCain made it pretty clear this morning in Indianapolis that he disagreed, according to a Reuters report. But first Mr. McCain expressed what appeared to a be a wish for Mr. Castro’s death:

“I hope he has the opportunity to meet Karl Marx very soon,” McCain told a town hall-style meeting of about 150 people, referring to the communist who died on March 14, 1883.

McCain made a deal with Carl Rove and Bush in the summer of 2004 that if he would strongly support Bush against his friend John Kerry who had asked him to be his running mate, then they wouldn’t run Jeb Bush this year and would support McCain instead.  This is another thing which the press isn’t touching.  McCain spent a week at the ranch in Crawford after Kerry had asked him to be his running mate.  After that he started campaigning with Bush.

I recall a transcript of Mao saying that he would like to export 10 million Chinese women to America. Kissinger diplomatically told him that perhaps we could put that on the backburner at the moment.

Could you please log on to http://www.svpvril.com/nwo.html ? You will see the quotes of American elites in regard to traditional constitutional government. There is one about Mao that is very interesting.

Cyrena, you are being a defamatory. It is not worth of you to use such underhanded tactics. You have no expertise in psychiatry, and your tactics remind me of the dirty tricks by many bad actors in history. Paranoid schizophrenic? Honestly do you expect I should be shot up with thorazine for my opinions? Haven’t we seen too much of that? Anything I say can be backed up and researched. Michelle Obama is connected with a Chicago organization whose directors are also CFR members. The CFR has long beed a booster of free trade and world government. Anybody with some iniative can look up Edward Mandell House, Harold Pratt, and David Rockefeller as the impetus behind the CFR. An organization that maintains a policy of non-attribution to the public among its members and yet has so many of its members in government, media, and business is suspect in my opinion. Even Dick Cheney joked about not telling his constituency in Wyoming about his CFR membership.(Look that up on youtube- it was on cspan. None of these organizations(CFR,TC,etc.) are transparent. As to my exposition on globalist policy, it is not my soultion, it is theirs. For Cyrena to say it is my solution is to make a crazymaking tactic as well as the use of strawman argument. Cyrena has chosen to blacken her own name through gaslighting and outright fabrication about my own positions. It is a shame that she acts so malevalantly, for many of my positions do share much in common other posters to Truthdig as far as liberty is concern. I am sad to see such a misguided woman try to stifle reasonable voices on Truthdig.
If you are disbeleiving of the eugenic agenda that I am pointing out you can look up the Guinea Pig Kids story. You can also research the American and British eugenics movement, and its influence on German thought in the 20’s and 30’s. The eugenics movement never really died; it just changed its name. Please look up Professor Pianka’s speech to Univeristy of Texas students. Also look up Henry Kissinger, and the Club of Rome. Everything I am talking about can be back up. Also look up Charles Galton Darwin, and eugenics. Google even has one of his books in its digital library, “The Next Million Years”.

Tony, I appreciate your essay on the good shepherd, but I almost hate that you responded to the insane among us. Still, somebody should I guess.
On this though…

The CFR?
•  “The Council on Foreign Relations is an establisnment foreign policy study group. Any prominent person who wants to take a position on international relations can publish an article in Foreign Affairs. I leave conspiracy theories involving them to the John Birch Society and other crackpots.”

The CFR is one of his (Paracelsus’) favorite boogiemen. The CFR as well as the Trilateral Commission and a few others. And, no amount of logic or reason about the functions of these organizations, or their history, or their transparency, is going to change the point of your last sentence. Crackpots here, crackpots there, don’t make these connections, and reason is never part of their repertoire.

Paracelsus is a paranoid schitzo, who manages to put forth multiple contradictory thoughts in the space of a single paragraph, sometimes even a single sentence. Just his reply to this is an example. In one breath, he blames the CFR for publications that erase national borders, (he’s got a real issue with globalization) and in the very next sentence, he claims it is the solution for everything.

One second, all the worlds’ problems are a result of the erasure of national borders, and then the solution is to narrow everything down to one or two languages and currencies for the whole world.
And, he doesn’t have a clue that he’s actually said it, or how obviously contradictory it is. He does have that fear of being euthanized though. I guess it’s a legitimate fear in his case.

Then again, if I was that crazy, I might welcome it. Who knows? That’s the whole fundamental issue involved with trying to view the world through the lens of the mentally ill.

Meantime, whatever might be wrong in the world, count on Paracelsus to blame it on Barack Obama. (Actually, it was Michelle Obama who was his original CFR target). Now he’s got Obama connected to them as well. I don’t know if either one of them has ever been connected to that organization, since there’s every reason NOT to believe anything that Paracelsus posts here. Even if one is inclined to believe or otherwise attach legitimacy to anything the FIRST time he says it, there’s a guarantee that he’ll say something else, (including the opposite) later on.

Unfortunately, he’s not alone. There are a collection of these crackpots that have come out of the woodwork as followers of Alex Jones, the New World Order guy. The Ron Paulies are in the group as well. They’re all pretty convinced of some master conspiracy that will establish world domination, (Dick Bush and his buds have tried of course) and that will bring about the “End of Times”.

Or…something like that. Like I said..it changes.

As noted to you in the other thread, I was simply not clear.  What I meant was that Hoyt chastised the Times for cerating the impression of something tawdry when no evidence existed for it.  Of course most of the article, and some of Hoyt’s comments, give us more fodder for the anti-McCain cannon.

Not that we needed any more fodder than we have: he’s a megalomaniacal warmonger who sees everyone and everything as a “danger” or an “enemy,” and will have his finger on the nuclear trigger if elected.

Given this, his connections to lobbyists and other skullduggery, as important as they may be, pale in comparison.

Fadel,

Thanks for pointing these things out. The New York Times article indeed contains information that that Americans NEED TO KNOW. My own opinion is that is has less to do with the ‘sexy’ aspects of the story, (which for whatever reasons, does appeal to Americans) but the larger and more fundamental point. It provides an example of the overwhelming hypocrisy, and the gigantic hole in the moral fiber of this man’s character. This person who wants to be the president of the United States.

However, as the story below suggests, the article may have also distracted from yet ANOTHER example of the rotten portion of McCain’s moral fiber. I think I posted this on another thread, but I’ll put it here as well. It references his new support for torture techniques. Maybe it isn’t so new. (his support that is)

John McCain is a nasty little man who, in his 70’s, hasn’t yet encountered the concepts:

that it is undignified for a great nation to harp on little poor nations,
that it is undignified for a man to speak flippantly about the death of anyone,
that U.S Senators are leaders who represent the dignity of those they represent,
that leaders are held to a higher standard than schmucks,
that such behavior is disqualification for the presidency,
that everyone in the room might not have the self-respect to decline that kind of thinking and language, they might even applaud a nasty small-minded swipe, but that doesn’t change the onus on him to maintain what self respect he has,
that statements like McCain made recently:

``I hate the gooks, I will hate them as long as I live.’‘

are not reasonably defensible by logic like:

``I will call right now, my interrogator that tortured me, a gook, (I can’t believe that) anybody doesn’t believe these interrogators and prison guards were cruel and sadistic people who deserve the worst appellations possible.’‘

because that isn’t logic so much as belligerence;

belligerence had and expressed at the level of a teenager, not a man of presidential caliber.

The Public Editor of the New York Times, Clark Hoyt, wrote an article in which he reveals more substantiated facts about the dubious character of McCain when he says:

“McCain, who was reprimanded by the Senate Ethics Committee in 1991 for exercising “poor judgment” by intervening with federal regulators on behalf of a corrupt savings and loan executive, recast himself as a crusader against special interests and the corrupting influence of money in politics. Yet he has continued to maintain complex relationships with lobbyists like Iseman, at whose request he wrote to the Federal Communications Commission to urge a speed-up on a decision affecting one of her clients.”

This piece provides more damning evidence against McCain dubious character, and leaves no doubt that he is the candidate, par excellence, of the big money guys,  private interest groups and the military-industrial complex. Beware America to give this one a chance on the presidency, otherwise you will run the risk of looking back at Bush’s years with relative nostalgic appreciation!!

It is sad that some people, like Maani, for example, posts a link to this article under another thread, introducing it as chastisement against the New York Times earlier article on MaCain’s dubious connection to lobbyist Vicki Iseman.

I do know that Obama has written for Foreign Affairs, the publication of the CFR, an organization that promotes the leveling of the middle classes world over through trade agreements and the erasing of national borders. As the elites have a mercantile rule set, it would behoove them to nationalize little duchies into nation states and then form federations of nations into big trading blocks. Also the standardization of languages, religions, and weights and measures would reduce costs. If the world councils imposed that English, Spanish, and Chinese would be the only linga francas, it save immense costs in business.  A truly global culture would reduce costs in packaging, marketing, and input sourcing. In sum, a good shepard makes as much sense as eutopia. Eventually sheep get culled.

Even as a libertarian, I tend to agree. Although Obama is probably the most socialist of all three candidates, there is the “ONLY NIXON COULD GO TO CHINA” factor. Perhaps only Obama, as the most “liberal” candidate, could actually show enough fiscal restraint to prevent a economic meltdown.

Probably not. But if I had to choose among these three execrable candidates, he’d be the one I would go with.

Even if Ron Paul (my favorite candidate) were elected, it would probably be too little, too late.

McCain:  war monger and all he knows is how to be a warrior. Pro status quo, keep the political landscape exactly the same.

Hillary:
Same as Bill with different body parts. Not that Bill was bad, just the opposite but nothing new to improve our country.  No real interest in changing the system

Obama:
Outsider who has nothing to do but make a name for himself.

My bet is on Obama not only to do the “least” harm but has more upside than other candidates.

McCain makes the Others Look Sane
Obama is able to use some NLP, hypnotism, and gesturing to good effect; he has a cult following. He knows humans like a sheep farmer knows sheep.
————————————————————————-
In Book I of Plato’s “Republic”, there is a discussion of the ruler as shephard. You will recall the “might makes right” thesis of Socrates’ opponent Thrasymachus, whose position is that everyone does everything only “in his own self-interest”, and this includes the ruler. The shephard takes care of the sheep, not for the sake of the sheep, but for the sake of their wool and their meat, which he sells for money to aggrandize himself. In the same way, the most successful ruler is the one who exploits his subjects to the maximum possible extent. Socrates shows that this position involves an internal contradiction, and that the shephard, as such, cares only for the well-being of the sheep. This is the beginning of the development of the concept of the philosopher king, the good shephard, who rules in Plato’s Republic, weaving all the citizens into a harmonious and happy whole.

So what do you think? If Obama know sheep, will he take good care of us? Will he save us from tyranny, or will he fleece us and sell us down the river?

“The best players almost never make good coaches”

Just what we need, a leader who blurts out “he wishes another world leader would die soon” If this is an example of the diplomatic skills he brings to the table we are as bad or worse than the bush regime.

He is an angry man whose only true claim to fame is that he is a War hero because he got captured and survived.

How does all his “war hero” status make him a good leader?

Does being a war hero make him:
-Understand the Economy better?  NO!
-Understand the world economy better? NO!
-Understand the value of alliances with other countries better? NO!
-Understand the loss of integrity and the erosion of our legal system? NO!
-Understand how to interact with world leaders better? NO!
-Give him insight into the job loss issue in America? NO!
-Give him insight into the immigration problem in America? NO!
-Give him insight into the “average” American and the issue we face? NO!

Hell no!  All he is capable of is being at war and his good pals,(bush, rove, cheney…) have done a good job of beginning a war that will never end so McCain can have a war during his term if elected.

Without a war McCain would be just Like Bush, a republican puppet face with the true intelligence working behind the scenes.

I think it is time to re-verse immigrate.  Many of the old countries American’s came from, Norway, England, Sweden, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany… are growing forward thinking countries.  Religion does not rule their world and their economies are robust and diverse and growing fast.

Personally, I think America peaked as a country in the day before bush took office his first term.  Sure there is a lot of Good in the US but it is sort of like the endangered species list of at risk animals, we are quietly loosing rights, freedoms, access to brighter futures, medical and dental benefits, retirement plans…

Sincerely,

Proud to be and American, but lately embarrassed!

Well, here’s the latest on McCains troubles as a result of his patronage to the lobbyists.

Appears he did sort of bent over backwards to kill a bill that would have eliminated the loophole that allows the private broadcast companies to operate with impunity, and of course as a monopoly.

As a result of him denying the report published by the NYT on Thursday, they posted even more details today, going back to 1998, when he wrote a bunch of letters on behalf of one of the companies.

Yep, he’s more than uncomfortable with Anti-Imperialists, he’s counting on the Imperialists, (of which he is obviously one) to keep him from the same fate he’s wishing on Fidel Castro.

If only he had the guts that Fidel had, and the character stamina to follow through with his own hypocritical positions, he wouldn’t be in the crash and burn mode right now.

Meantime, what is that huge thing in his cheek, that looks like a tumor or something? Doesn’t he have health insurance to get that thing removed and examined? Maybe he should take a quick trip to Cuba, where they have that good and plentiful medical care.

Nevermind, Castro would legitimately be able to tell McCain to kiss his ass. And, John McCain should probably do it.

I was refering to the study of archetypal forms in the broadest mythological sense…Men and women both, of a certain disposition are aligned with the patriarchal model…Matriarchy as such is not the opposite, nor really the subject….

Striving to understand the old way while building the new in any situation is healthy…Patriarchy is not about men, it is about a way of existing without receptive inspiration….a firmly negative approach to meaning in life…Patriarchy resides in an “If you don’t like it, find a way to kill it” mode.It is amoral, apathetic, and cold-hearted in it’s aloneness…...When I was young and dating, we used to identify, for example, some women as men’s women…and then there were “the rest of us”, fashioning inner landscapes of equality, we believed, destined to be mirrored in men and women of good will and sincerity.many such are now, indeed, surfacing more and more…the ‘men’s women’ were forever competitive, and trying to ‘killing us off’ just for being present…..
This addiction to the death forces is what needs to be recognized as paramount in certain public persons today….The bearers of this archetype need to be tamed both outside ourselves, and, quite as powerfully as a wild winds, within ourselves…Service is a great healer on all sides..

This is not a world of opposites…the dileanated apparency of paradox serves the grand purpose of pointing the way toward resolution and wholenesss, Toward the life forces and toward the warm heart…This way is not a myth or a joke… It is the way that must, ultimately, be walked….

Thanks for your thoughts.
I’m hoping folks can see how all this relates to this article..I’ll stop here.

I think of McCain as being like Goldwater in ‘64. We will “elect” an imperialist to the throne. The wars will continue. McCain is so crazy that Obama could have been smoking crack and BJ’ing a shemale in the rotunda, and Obama would still get the job. I am not so sure Clinton will get the nomination. Obama is able to use some NLP, hypnotism, and gesturing to good effect; he has a cult following. He knows humans like a sheep farmer knows sheep.

Being he wants to commit the US to a 100 year war; some might think the American people would be better off if he were again get a chance to hug Jerry Fallwell. What a jerk.

Can’t wait to see the big karma snake bite McCain on his ass regarding his maligned “hope”.

In seemingly every issue McCain turns to violence as the answer. The man is frightening, I question if he would shoot you if your dog took a whiz on his lawn. He recently was criticizing Obama about the comment over going into Pakistan to fight a known terrorist. Very irresponsible, McCain said. Isn’t this the man that joked about bomb, bomb, bomb Iran? His entire foreign policy would be carried out by the pentagon. We might as well dissolve the state dept. Scary, sick mind!!!

The hairlines wrong [or gone] and the hairs the wrong color. The nose is too short and the head’s not quite pointy enough ... But darned if this picture doesn’t look like Nixon!!!

Maybe it’s the locked jaw. Or the scrunched down eyebrows.

[Or the running makeup.]

Didn’t Romney accuse McCain of using Nixon gestures?
Scary ... can imitation lead to possession?
EEEEEeeeK!!!

Course this would play well with the octogenarian crowd that hangs around him.

John McCain is more comfortable with D.C. lobbyists than with anti-imperialists.
