A Republican member of the Maryland Legislature has resigned after authorities raided his home and took several items, including his computer, during a child pornography investigation. According to the Baltimore Examiner, state Delegate Robert McKee had been a sponsor of the Child Protection From Predators Act and had worked with the Big Brothers Big Sisters youth mentoring program for 29 years.

Examiner.com:

McKee, who also resigned as executive director of a mentoring program for youth, called the investigation “deeply embarrassing” and said he is “seeking treatment.”

“My primary focus is to get well and stay well,” McKee wrote in a statement. “I know this can only happen with the support and prayers of my family and friends and the help of professionals.”

FBI Special Agent Richard Wolf said the bureau’s cyber crimes unit is working with Washington County authorities on the investigation. Mullendore, who said there was a child in the home when the search was conducted, said no charges have been filed against McKee. He said he did not know the status of the child now.

“state Delegate Robert McKee had been a sponsor of the Child Protection From Predators Act and had worked with the Big Brothers Big Sisters youth mentoring program for 29 years.”

It looks like it’s the ol’ “hide in plain sight tactic”, with the “forgive me God for I have sinned”
mantra thrown in for good measure.  How indicative that it’s ANOTHER Republican.  Anyone having deja vu?

Here’s another GOP Bush appointee, published 2/19/08-
I bet this one won’t be on your local MSM news:

Bush Judicial Appointee Caught in DUI, Fishnet Stockings

More Bush Admin miscreants, this time a Bush nominee to the bench. Robert Somma remembered his purse, cocktail dress and fishnet stockings, but he forgot about a designated driver. He was a Bush appointee, but has now resigned.
Commentary By: Steven Reynolds

Pensito Review is all over this one, so I’m just going to refer you over there. This guy is a bankruptcy judge over on the first circuit in Boston. Yes, it was a male judge, Robert Somma, who was arrested on the DUI charge, wearing a black cocktail dress and fishnet stockings. Evidently he had stopped off at a local gay bar (not that there’s anything wrong with that) and had one or two too many.

These GOP bible-thumpers are so repressed the only sexual activities they have are perverted.
The cognitive dissonance of being both pro-life and pro-war has never occurred to them.
Like Bush, they’ll say anything to get what they want. They can shake your hand and stab you in the back at the same time.

^ I’d be laughing.  Take 10 sex offenders and 6 of them will be Republican fundamentalist Christians.  Why is that?  Is that bigoted of me to say that?  Sure; but just read the news….it never stops.  If I’m not mistaken; I don’t recall any Dems lately; are they just more careful?  I hope not.  I’m with Cyrena; there is no cure for these guys; but there is an operation that will make them less dangerous and it’s not a lobotomy.

This comes as no surprise, especially from the so called Republican family values group we have heard so much from and seen the opposite in numerous cases. It seems it is usually the “Pillars of Society,” church leaders, leaders in some youth group, and/or in this case the sponsor of a bill protecting children from the very thing he is-a predator.

Lobotomies were banned as cruel, but in some cases they should be allowed and chemical castration is outlawed in many places, however there is one sure way to take care of this problem once and for all. I’m sharpening my knives right now for the “operation” to cure this “SICK” man of his affliction. Maybe Lorenna Bobbit might lend her expertise, if she’s not busy.

Forget the prayers for these sicko’s, once a child molester-always a child molester. Don’t believe their lies that they are cured. Some things have no permanent cure, like this case.

just find jeebus and wash away all of your sins. then go and sin again. prey and prey again, then ask for absolution, have a little private conversation with god, or make it a public conversation with god. either way works, look how many washed up celebrities end up on evangelical tv. will britney be next?

•  “My primary focus is to get well and stay well,” McKee wrote in a statement. “I know this can only happen with the support and prayers of my family and friends and the help of professionals.”

Well, he CAN’T “get well’ because perverts are just perverts. Child predators are just child predators. So, he can’t ‘get well’. He can be made ‘less dangerous’ and that’s the extent of if.

I think lobotomies are in order for perverts who target children, unless there’s some new medication on the market that accomplishes the same thing.

“Therapy” isn’t gonna cut it.
