Huckabee Hangs On

Still running: Supporters of Mike Huckabee in Topeka, Kan., hold up signs Friday suggesting comparisons to two very different historical figures.

If one thing is clear after last week’s Super Tuesday craziness, it’s that candidates who seemed to score big want to claim victory as a foregone conclusion, while others who didn’t show quite as strongly—like Mike Huckabee, for example—want to challenge the finality of the results.

AP via Breitbart.com:

Republican Mike Huckabee on Saturday said he won’t quit the presidential race and rejected suggestions John McCain is the party’s inevitable nominee, saying the voters in remaining states deserve an election, not a coronation.

As if to prove his point, Kansas Republicans gave the former Arkansas governor a comfortable victory over McCain in Saturday’s GOP caucuses.

“I didn’t major in math,” the former Arkansas governor told a cheering crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference meeting earlier in the day. “I majored in miracles, and I still believe in them.”

i stand corrected. must be my tiny vantage that has me misperceiving a confederacy of dunces run amok when the reality is all enlightenment.

Huckabee is truly a wacko-- changing the Constitution to match God’s laws?  Evolution is a lie?  Adam & Eve started the earth? If that’s who Americans want as their leader-- even Vice-leader, then they deserve it all.  This man has nothing to say—listen to his speeches-- if he isn’t invoking God, miracles, creationism,. etc., he is saying nothing at all- platitudes, empty & vague promises.  Actually, they aren’t even promises-- they are just empty statements. He is the epitome of charatanism.  Yikes!

“....americans of good sense are vastly outnumbered by seething bigots, religious charlatans and nationalist nudniks. if we don’t deserve to be overrun by frauds and hucksters why are we?...”

Americans of good sense are NOT ‘vastly’ outnumbered by the bigots, etc, etc.

Yes, there are a substantial number of the above, and yes, they are a plague on society. BUT..they do not ‘vastly outnumber’ Americans of reason.

If we ‘appear’ to be ‘overrun’ by them, it is only because ignorance and a lack of awareness has allowed it. Lack of awareness by the majority maybe, to even comprehend the danger of what is still a small number.

So no, we don’t ‘deserve’ it. We need to educate each other, and NOT allow ourselves to be ‘overrun’.

And, if you look out side of the little spot that you’re in, with a view for the larger picture, common sense should dictate that people of reason ARE the majority, and not the opposite.

Yes, this bigoted moron did win in a couple of states or environments where the population of bigoted and all the rest exist. Comparatively speaking...they are few. Now, when we allow a relative few, (like the thugs who have hijacked our country) to become all powerful, then yeah...there’s a problem, Houston to DC. But, those are not the ones you’re talking about here. The neocon Cabal and the Dick Bush monsters are hardly ‘Dominions’. They aren’t ANY ‘religion’. They use a version of whatever they choose to pay lip service to, to mobilize any group of people who would like to believe in any kind of god.

AGAIN, they are NOT the majority, and the real majority isn’t allowing itself to be over run by them either.

belief in miracles should disqualify a contestant for an office of such weight and moment as the presidency of even this country.

Go on, how can that be?  Religion is the ultimate truth, the gospels are never wrong, after all, 2000 year old writings from goat herders is something I find fascinating.  Reminds me of having a president who evades going to war, but sends everyone else.  Fantasy is entertaining, only which one has more notches on its gun handle.

the silence in response to arkansas gantry’s despicable mormon baiting suggests to me that bigotry is alive and festering. that gay people are not full citizens of this country further bolsters my impression. americans of good sense are vastly outnumbered by seething bigots, religious charlatans and nationalist nudniks. if we don’t deserve to be overrun by frauds and hucksters why are we? i am no more happy about this state of affairs than in denial of it. would that i were wrong.

Unlike smiling McManiac MadBomber McCain, the Huckster’s megalomania has a smiling nonincendiary fell to it....

The Republicans are so FuerherPrinzip-afflicted that they are willing to bow and scrape for the Military Madman and the SBCPastor(who’s grasp of reality and Pavlovian rejection of freedom, privacy and US Soveriegty is glaring evidence of the death of the Republican Party....as a FOE of socialism and globalism.

Ron Paul and his message(not really HIS message but THE message)of “freedom, privacy, and US Sovereignty” has been(predictably)rejected by the SkinnerBox MSM conditioned Republican voters.... and they charlatan SirenSong of the ethically challenged OTHER fraud from Hope ARKANSAS is being trumpeted by the wannabee little RRight players and the obviously grinning MSM....everybody wins with Huckleberry getting promoted and shilled for…

except the few remaining freedoms left of Americans....

we all lose and will lose even more with the Hegelian false dialectical “election” of “opposites"…

No, it’s more like he majored in bullshit…

And yeah, he IS an undisguised bigot, but I don’t tolerate it, and I damn sure don’t deserve him. Neither do my fellow Americans with good sense, and a knack for collective survival.

That’s why Obama won 3 more states today. We are finally wising up. That doesn’t suggest that Americans are tolerating bigotry.

“I majored in miracles, and I still believe in them.”

What Huckabee meant (I hope) was, “I majored in FAIRY TALES - stories written and meant for the immature minds of illiterate & ignorant children, and I still haven’t matured/evolved to the point where I can shuck my imaginary teddy bear, stand and think on my own two feet, and realize that ‘when I became an adult, I should have put away my childish things...’.

But then, someone has to represent the MILLIONS of emotionally crippled sheeple that shuffle amongst us. It’s for sure no mature adult would want the job.

his fellow nebraskans compared william jennings bryan to their platte river;
a mile wide at the mouth but only six inches deep. huckabee’s smug pronouncements on the mormons demonstrate what a rank and odious dissembler he is. he makes for a poor desciple of his christ. he is an angry and undisguised bigot. we deserve his kind for tolerating it.
