Super Oprah Saves Desperate VoterPosted on Feb 5, 2008
Reports of election irregularities have been pouring in from around the country, including Chicago. When Oprah Winfrey heard that a woman at a precinct next door wasn’t allowed to vote, she pledged to stay with the frustrated voter until she got to cast her ballot: “She [Winfrey] just kind of stood there and then as soon as I got to vote she left and she said, ‘I’ll call you later to make sure that you voted.’ And probably about an hour later I was sitting at my desk and she called my cell phone.”

Oprah, I love you for being a humanitarian/genius, but I ask, if Obabma gets in, would the climate of mindless fear let more folks find guts to speak up about the 9/11 coverup. Presently, Texas is saved, as Willie Nelson now is included in patriotsquestion9/11. Also therein be, finally, Michael Moorer.

I’ve noticed the same thing. In fact, most of the blogs are progressive/liberal and that movement rose in opposition not only to Bush but the centrist, Democratic establishment.
I guess its not fair, you know. The centrists control all the elected representatives and the Party machine…they should get to control the blogs too.

You’re correct Oprah isn’t different than other people who fight to get their vote in, but let’s not spin this article against Obama. Hillary pollsters have been trying to disenfranchise specific groups of people from their rightful votes.
While it isn’t known why this person Oprah helped had a problem voting, I’ve heard many people discus the topic of Clintonites trying to monopolize voting areas and push people who look unfavorable away while arguing with official government staffers about which candidate posters can be displayed where, and what time polls can close.

Just rename the site to “Oprahdig” and be done with it.
Truthdig - your ass kissing worship of celebrities is sickening. I don’t see how this story is relevant to anything other than Oprah and I’m sure she already has a website to promote herself.

I disagree with the previous post. I think that they are reporting about this only because she’s Oprah. It doesn’t have anything to do with who she’s supporting. If she was voting for Hilary or McCain would you still be offened by this being in the news?

More biased reporting. As one who has worked as a poll worker in every election for the past five years (today is the first time in five years I was unable to work at the polls), I can tell you that this type of thing - helping voters in situations like this - occurs regularly, with supporters of ALL candidates serving as assists in this regard.
So what Oprah did is not particularly “special,” and I don’t hear about any Hillary supporters (or, for that matter, McCain or Romney supporters) who have undoubtedly been doing similar things all day.
Once again, anything that looks good for Obama, and leaves a negative perception of Hillary (note the phrase “reports of election irregularities,” which is obviously NOT targeted to Obama) is right here on LieDig.
Peace.
