Sorry you didn’t get it, and I’ll try to do better. I was obviously joking as well, having made my jet-ski comment a few days ago. In short, this was nothing about nothing, about nothing, for the Iranian standpoint.

So, no. I didn’t see Elvis, and I didn’t need to see any more than what I saw to begin with. A few speed boats having fun in the Persian Gulf, on what appeared to be a beautiful day there. Did you check out the whole scene – the sky and the water where they merge into each other? Lovely. But then, it’s a beautiful part of the world.

I also don’t go along with your suggestion that the Iranians had some grand scheme to provoke an attack on themselves. Actually, I think its bullshit. So, consider some real basics here. THEY live there. They have lived there for thousands of years. THEY are not anywhere where they should not be.

OTOH, the US has a minimum of 5 WARSHIPS in the Persian Gulf, though only THREE of the huge suckers were there for this particular incident. (The others are no doubt within a few hundred miles, and it’s been this way for well over a year – closer to two). The US home for these WARSHIPS is at least 6,000 miles away. So, let’s think just a bit more reasonably here. WHO THE HELL IS HARASSING WHO?

Anyone who has paid even 5% attention to anything in the past 5 years, knows damn well that it is the U.S., based on the long made plans of the Dick Cheney Rumsfeld crowd, harassing Iran, and hoping to provoke an attack, to give them any excuse, (since all of the others have been exposed for what they are) to attack.

So, there is every reason to believe that the Pentagon fabricated this video, in advance, to put out there as the standard propaganda, that they’ve used for years, in order to accomplish these same goals. (were you in a comma from 2001 -2003).
They are referring to the area as International waters, for their own purposes, and can push that off on an unknowing public, simply because the Strait IS a heavily travelled shipping/trade lane. But, that’s NOT why WARHIPS should be in the area, and if we wanted to get technical about it, the US is out of line in this incident. (though we don’t know the exact coordinates).

So yes, I can joke with the best of you, and at the same time, this is NOT a joke, because we all know damn well, what your commanders-in-chief are up to. This isn’t exactly a ‘new’ tactic for the US military.

Clearly, they did not set out to attack US ships or they would have. They probably set out to do exactly what they did which was harass them.  Speedboats are the only thing Iran has on the water that can match the speed of US warships and allow them to beat a hasty retreat when they want to.

I don’t know whether this was orchestrated by Iran to try and provoke the US into firing on the boats, which may in fact have been unarmed, in an attempt to use such an attack as propaganda against the US (perhaps by claiming they were fishing boats, or “baby’s milk” boats to follow Saddam’s lead) or whether it was simply some bored, testosterone-laden Revolutionary guards who were out to prove their bravado by ‘standing up’ to US ships.
