Giuliani
villagevoice.com

Rudy of Arabia: This isn’t the first time Giuliani’s friendships have hampered his political aspirations, but buddying up to the wrong sheik can really hurt your anti-terror credentials.

Rudy Giuliani likes to pretend that he’s the world’s greatest terrorism fighter, but it turns out that his business empire has contracted with a Qatari sheik who once helped Khalid Sheikh Muhammad escape the FBI. The Village Voice has the goods.

The Village Voice:

In retrospect, Giuliani’s embrace of the emir appears peculiar. But it was only a sign of bigger things to come: the launching of a cozy business relationship with terrorist-tolerant Qatar that is inconsistent with the core message of Giuliani’s current presidential campaign, namely that his experience and toughness uniquely equip him to protect America from what he tauntingly calls “Islamic terrorists”—an enemy that he always portrays himself as ready to confront, and the Democrats as ready to accommodate.

The contradictory and stunning reality is that Giuliani Partners, the consulting company that has made Giuliani rich, feasts at the Qatar trough, doing business with the ministry run by the very member of the royal family identified in news and government reports as having concealed KSM—the terrorist mastermind who wired funds from Qatar to his nephew Ramzi Yousef prior to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, and who also sold the idea of a plane attack on the towers to Osama bin Laden—on his Qatar farm in the mid-1990s.

This royal family member is Abdallah bin Khalid al-Thani, Qatar’s minister of Islamic affairs at the time, who was later installed at the interior ministry in January 2001 and reappointed by the emir during a government shake-up earlier this year. Abdallah al-Thani is also said to have welcomed Osama bin Laden on two visits to the farm, a charge repeated as recently as October 10, 2007, in a Congressional Research Service study. Abdallah al-Thani’s interior ministry or the state-owned company it helps oversee, Qatar Petroleum, has worked with Giuliani Security & Safety LLC, a subsidiary of Giuliani Partners, on an undisclosed number of contracts, the value of which neither the government nor the company will release. But there’s little question that a security agreement with Qatar’s government, or with Qatar Petroleum, would put a company like Giuliani’s in direct contact with the ministry run by Abdallah al-Thani: The website of Qatar’s government, and the interior ministry’s press office, as well as numerous press stories, all confirm that the ministry controls a 2,500-member police force, the General Administration of Public Security, and the Mubahathat, or secret police. The ministry’s charge under law is to “create and institute security in this country.” Hassan Sidibe, a public-relations officer for the ministry, says that “a company that does security work, they have to get permission from the interior ministry.”

From King George to Drag Queen Ruda. Does America need anymore ignorance in the guise of the Republican Right Winger Christian Conservative Party?

Bush’s family as well as Rudi have been in bed with the real enemy for decades. This comes as no surprise that these two people are so intertwined with corruptness that they don’t even remember what they said and did when. They are all traitors to America and should be punished as the law dictates.

“I have said it before and I will say it again the main stream media just consistently ignores negative reports on Giuliani and allows the myth of Rudy to continue. For the life of me I cannot figure out why.”

IMHO it is because this country lives and feeds on myths.

They came for religious freedom!  (actually they came for money)
The Dutch bought NYC for $24 (actually they gave some indigenous folks which happened to be passing through, some trinkets.)
Johnny Appleseed, Jesse James, The Alamo (if that church had a back door, Texas would still be Mexican)

The whole thing is a myth.  INCLUDING the word “democracy” which we fling around.

Verne Arnold,
You’ve outdone yourself with this one. Bravo!! It’s all true. Now, if somebody would just listen…(I mean, besides us here, since generally speaking, most of us get it).

If I would quibble at all, (and it’s just a minor quibble) it would basically be just ‘academic’.

• It is truly the greatest robbery of all time in human history.
You/we should feel outrage, but here we sit complicit in the greatest robbery in human history
I’m not sure it’s the greatest robbery of ALL time in human history, but it’s damn sure the greatest in the last hundred or so years, and since there can’t be many of us who have been around longer than a hundred or so years, it’s good enough for our purposes of discussion.

And, I’m going to share this part of the post if I may, with my own reading list, just because some of them STILL don’t seem to get this most important part…

• As a country, I see us continuing to pursue a hedonistic life style, vainly trying to be the latest, greatest, dancer, singer, groupie, fan, consumer, lacking any vision of the future beyond the pursuit of your 15 minutes of fame as though that actually meant something in the overall scheme of things!  May the pox be upon you!
Now, I’m actually not wanting the pox to be upon ALL of them, because the reality is that I’m honestly just trying to wake some folks up, and bring them out of the comas of the latest/greatest dancer, singer, groupie, fan, CONSUMERISM, and superstitious beliefs that all of the above that cannot be obtained RIGHT HERE, and RIGHT NOW, will be provided in the ‘afterlife’, if they just take whomever as their ‘savior’.

Now, in defense of myself for seeming a bit neurotic about these things, your own post follows on the heels of an e-mail that I received today, titled ‘Kanya West’s mom’s obituary”. Yep, it didn’t even say Donda C. West’s Obituary, which of course was her name, (not Kanya’s mom, though certainly she was that as well). But, what more would we expect from shallow groupies?

More unforgivable (in my opinion) is that it leaves off ANY mention, of HOW she came to be “transitioned to her eternal reward” (which is what the obituary states) at the age of 58. And yes, I realize that obituaries don’t normally go into these things, but I do believe that there should have been some explanation that accompanied the e-mail, if in fact there was this need of the ‘groupies’ to circulate the thing.

And, that’s what goes to the heart of this portion of your post. Donda West died due to complications from a COSMETIC surgery that should never have been performed. A surgery that attempted to undertake 3 procedures, affecting 3 different areas of her body. A surgery that no physician with the requisite ethics and/or professionalism would have been willing to undertake, for any amount of money. (other physicians had already refused, for exactly these reasons – this very possible outcome).

And yet, whomever was circulating the obituary, seemed totally ignorant to these facts, or apparently chose to ignore them. So, as long as this is where the priorities lie, on the ‘cosmetic’ and the ‘greed’ and the glitz of the glamour, to later be packaged as an ‘eternal reward’ when things fizzle out, then I too, continue to fear for us all.

I think it’s great that this is finally being revealed.  Before, we knew there was “something rotten in Denmark” (no offense Denmark, just a euphemism) but now these things are being “highlighted”.  I wonder if Mr. Kerik with his “mountain” of legal concerns might have a little input.  I wouldn’t want to stare at all those...hmm...I think nowadays prison walls are are ugly yellow, aren’t they?  Well...whatever color they are--those walls...those PRISON walls.

Looks like Mr. Guliani may have more to worry about than just the election.  And think about his “poor” friends, GW and Mukasey...and others.  I wonder how they’ll take this “news"…

About that photo.

Face it, the guy looks much better in pink satin, with false eyelashes and the Marilyn do. And I’ll just bet he knows it, which must be why he loves the cross-dressing thing. And here we are looking at this guy and the other sorta comedians who want to be our prez and reading, once again about corruption!

Problem is, we drown in corruption. The repubs have blessed us with so much, for so long ... I think we’ve all been immunized.

Impossible to take this guy or any of the repubs, save Paul serious. But then it was impossible to take Dubya serious as well, for all the good that did.

And Dubya wasn’t elected. He cheated.

And if he can pull it off so will this moron. Cheat I mean.

Why on earth do people who have no trouble recognizing theft and bribery and money laundering and cronyism and suiciding and child molestation and fake attacks and lies and civilians murdered in the name of war based on lies, find it impossible to believe any politician would cheat to get elected?

Duh ...

I have said it before and I will say it again the main stream media just consistently ignores negative reports on Giuliani and allows the myth of Rudy to continue. For the life of me I cannot figure out why. These are documented stories that have been run in the New York media for years. They would not have to get off their fat asses and do anything.Just report what is factually proven.Instead they would rather focus on these numbskull"debates"rather than doing any real reporting.I would be just as perturbed if the mainstream media consistently ignored relevant information on any other candidate.By the way Osama Bin Laden is on television so much maybe the republicans should include him in the debates. They obviously have no plans to try and capture him.

America is being sold out, CEO’s who do a bad job get rewarded with a good byout good pension, ect while the workers get to lose Health coverage, savings and to boot have to work instead of retire while those at the top get richer and with the riches get a better tax break while those with money get to use their money (not work) and get to pay no texes on investments, in other words get to play with money win and pay no taxes.

In the mean time rumors circulate that because Obama has a muslim name he must be a muslim, excuse me your religion is your own what your parents were does not have to be yours, I was raised in a certain religion that was traditional but when I became old enough to think for myself I choose a church that was not of my parents.  Excuse me when you are six or seven you certainly see things different when you are nine or ten and then when you are sixteen or seventeen than ideas begin to form that take you into adulthood and then when you are in your thirties than you look at the world with the rose colored glasses off.

Getting back to Obama don’t believe what the right wing tells you they are into scaring you like a five year old.

Religion is not what caused 9/11, what does religion have to do with extremism the extremist used religion by those who could be brainwashed and by far Obama is far too smart to be brainwashed.

Need people be reminded that he was mothered by a American who had far more influence than his father, of course he loved his father but the mother usually raises the child.

Does anybody here truly get it?  I don’t think so.  America is being sold to the highest bidder.  China owns a huge chunk of us, as does the British and the Japanese.  Now we are being bought by the super-rich Middle Eastern oil magnates.  We are (we; the normal citizens) losing our very own country…it is being sold by the corporatists/fascist people who think they own the USA.  The Cheney’s and others are selling “their” share of the country for profit.
GATT and NAFTA were the beginning of the end for American labor.  These treaties were the great American give-away of jobs, health insurance, retirement benefits, and security in general.
As the corporations, that got their start here, have gone international, they have increasingly moved out of America and are no longer governed by US laws.  As a result they have plundered America and its workers for profit and then absconded with the profits thereby leaving us holding the bag….which I might add, is empty.  It is truly the greatest robbery of all time in human history.
You/we should feel outrage, but here we sit complicit in the greatest robbery in human history.  We have become so good at playing the victim that at some point, I personally, do not expect anything to come of this.  As a country, I see us continuing to pursue a hedonistic life style, vainly trying to be the latest, greatest, dancer, singer, groupie, fan, consumer, lacking any vision of the future beyond the pursuit of your 15 minutes of fame as though that actually meant something in the overall scheme of things!  May the pox be upon you!

Rudy Giuliani is another Republican psychopath.  How these people continue to attract followers is beyond my comprehension.  The American people continue to swallow the bait……..
If the sleeper (read, American people) doesn’t wake up from their ignorance very soon, there will be nothing to wake up from.  We will have given everything to the corporatists and I mean “EVERYTHING”!!!  There will be nothing for us but the dregs of existence.  This is not the American anything; it is tyranny/fascism, the worst of life itself.  Death will look inviting…something to cherish!
