Robertson Backs GiulianiPosted on Nov 8, 2007
Conservative Christian blowhard Pat Robertson has endorsed Rudy Giuliani for president, possibly giving the candidate a boost with fundamentalist voters. Robertson came to the decision because, as only he could possibly put it: “The overriding issue before the American people is the defense of our population from the blood lust of Islamic terrorists.”

The message from Pat Robertson, who has built his religion empire upon the message of family values, seems to be that adultry is okay, if it is committed by a Republican. Multiple marriages, three in the case of Giulian, are okay, if they are done by a Republican. Being estranged from your own children is okay, when it is a Republican who is estranged. Hypocrisy is apparently hard wired inside the heart of Mr. Robertson. The truth about family values are that we are all a part of God’s family and we all have value, and that is the only truth that matters. The Pat Robertsons of this world work very hard to keep anyone who will listen, from that truth. Because knowing the truth, robs Mr. Robertson of the power to control the beliefs of others with his words, and then his empire crumbles.

Rae, unfortunately the IQ level have been dropping for the past 7 years and it looks like it is going lower still. Right now I believe the average IQ level is in the slightly retarded range say about mid 80’s, not quit considered profoundly retarded just yet, give them another year. No offense meant to those who are actually mentally challenged or have family members who are.
I just can’t believe that Robertson is sincere in this so called support of Rudy. A man who has obviously not taken his marriage vows seriously as having been married 3 times so far and the fact he like to wear women’s clothing and Rudy supports gays whom Pat claims to be against. What is this a marriage in hell between the two of them. I have know of men who are homophobes who do nothing but denounce gays in the name of God and condemn them but secretly are latent homosexuals. Is this the case for Pat? And if Rudy wanted to be a priest then he should resign out of politics and open up a church and go fulfill his TRUE? calling.
Religion and politics don’t mix well for people in general.Time for a parting of the ways.

Pat’s TV program the 700 club gets 1 million viewers per day. So yes he has some political clout.
Report thisAlso Rudi has stated publicly he would support the Christian’s social agenda if elected.
Also in a head to head match up against Clinton I thing Rudi would win.
So it’s a smart move for both Pat and Rudi.

The overriding issue before the American people is the defense of our population from the blood lust of Islamic terrorists.
The way I see it, the overriding issue is to free our population from the meddling, seditious, mind-controlling hypocrisy of the kind vomited by Robertson et al.
While Islamic terrorists may be a threat, at least it’s an HONEST threat. The fundmentalist Moslem tells you straight out that both he and his God wants all non-believers DEAD.
The fundamentalist Christian of the Pat Robertson flavor is far too devious and dishonest to ever tell you the truth about their motives. Robertson et al want two things: POWER (over, not with the people) and MONEY (yours - as much as they can get).
Only the mentally feeble buy this bullshit. And that’s scary when you understand how low the average IQ is in America.

Beam me up Scotty, I’ve seen enough.
And I thought the horror writers were all on strike.
Giuliani to Robertson - the check is in the mail. Robertson to Giuliani - the Diebold machines are all set to evangelical.

Possible movie title for this unbelievably grotesque partnership of pseudo-religion and blood-sucking warmonger: “Elmer Gantry meets Nosferatu.”

Pat Robertson and Rudy G have milked 9/11 to the nth degree. Beyond that, Robertson’s biblical aspirations of an approaching Armageddon relies totally on the current GW and neo-CON destabilizing foreign policy in the Middle East in order to guarantee that Armageddon does happen within Pat’s lifetime. What other candidate is there to promote Pat’s biblical aspirations other than Rudy G, GW’s like-minded successor, the self-proclaimed anti-terrorism expert, who in reality failed New Yorkers after the first terrorist bombing of the WTC in 1993. Rudy is waiting in the belly of the beast to perpetuate the crusade and Pat knows that only Rudy will lead Pat triumphantly through the pearly gates of heaven.

I believe in God, I pray to God, pray to Jesus for guidance and for help, Mr. Giuliani said. I have very, very strong views on religion that come about from having wanted to be a priest when I was younger and having studied theology for four years in college, its an area that I know really, really well academically. I understand the history of religion. Man and womens relationship to God is one of the strongest, if not the strongest motivating thing in human history.
TRANSLATION:
I know EXACTLY how to coerce the religious among you, just how to make it “sound” and the trigger words to use. I studied theology in college where I learned all this was hogwash, at least in my view, but that hasn’t prevented me from using your christian values for my own political gain. “Man and woman’s relationship to God” I find the easiest area to exploit because I know YOU feel commitment in these areas and that makes my job of convincing you of anything I want you to believe, that much easier. As for human history, don’t go there…it’s not pretty, just keep thinking about your spouse and God. Things will be just fine….let me exploit religious and human history for you, you don’t even need to look.

If one thinks that Robertson has thrown aside principles to support Rudy, I would suggest that Robertson has demonstrated very few principles in his past actions and statement, so that should be no surprise. The continuing surprise is that the media takes note of him.
Rudy is a good successor to Bush, for he has adopted the same mantra of deceit and distortion established by the Rove-Bush White House. Only one instance for Rudy was mentioned by Krugman last week regarding health care. But deceit seems to be indispensable for Republicans. Democrats seem to run too scared to lie as much.
At any rate lies have been permitted by the media and will continue as long as the people and the media permit it.
And Pat Robertson-types will continue as long as the people give credence to them.

Normally, an endorsement by evangel-crazy Robertson is the kiss of death. However, since Guliani is borderline himself, it just might work. Americans have been deceived before - but maybe they are tired of it!
