Dems Set to Cave on MukaseyPosted on Nov 2, 2007It looks as though Michael Mukasey is one step closer to becoming attorney general, having secured the support of Democratic Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Charles Schumer. Judiciary Committee Chairman (and former Truthdigger of the Week) Pat Leahy, on the other hand, plans to vote no, because “No American should need a classified briefing to determine whether waterboarding is torture.”

DiFi Fo Fum—I smell the blood of a tortured one.
The word Senator comes from the Latin “senex” meaning “old man”—from which one can infer sagacity or senility. Feinstein and Schumer (and now I cannot help but include Lieberman when I think of them) seem to have higher loyalties (to what wisdom?) or similar frailties (owing to what dementia?)—Maybe its all that lead in those toy soldiers. They are toys? Arent they?

Again, instead of moving foward into a new and very challeged century w/esteemable hope we are being dragged down into a dark, draconian whole - and Schumer/Feinstein want to be tour guides.
This is sick and its also the point in the screenplay where you see people for exactly what they are - stage actors who’d steal a hot stove.

Despite the attacks on me and that clearly false accusations made against me, it may astonish you to learn that I am OPPOSED to this nomination.
I am disgusted with the spineless Democrats, have NO idea where Schumer is coming from (no, he’s not a traitor—he’s a loyal American) and no idea why they are caving in, yet again.
I KNOW they want to win in 2008 and think they can do it by not pissing people off, but they are pissing their base off with their spinelessness.
We elected them to COMBAT the fascism of George W. Bush, not collaborate with it.

Take a look at Bush putting his covert hand signal with his first finger and his pinky upright at his adoring right-wing audience. (Although lately, he hasn’t displayed this symbol because some intelligent people understand what it means) It means morons a devil’s salute. Would you really believe that a god would have audience with a person that worships the devil and is drunken ninety percent of the time? Presuming the media is correct, his mother is stating that he is disgracing the Bush family.

Now you are just flat-out lying, pure and simple. I have NEVER demanded or even requested unconditional support of Israel. In fact, just the opposite—conditional support tempered with valid criticism.
So saying that is a pure lie—something you are prone to, but not very good at, as your lying is easily caught.

The Republicans (Aka Conservatives right-wingers) know that most Democrats are in reality Republicans (Aka Conservatives right-wingers) dressed up in Democratic clothing so to inveigle the morons into believing they belong to the Democratic Party. This way when they crap on the Bill of Rights or the Constitution of this country they get the morons to blame the Democrats for the soiled documents. Our country got in serious trouble by not realizing that Bush was as much a demented, dangerously destructive demagogue as Osama bin Laden. If you looked at what Osama desired regarding the fortunes of America and what George delivered, the only real difference in ultimate effect seems to be that one thinks scowling beards and turbans are the height of fashion while the other favors fake cowboy hats and smirks.
The same seems to be true of those in office like Feinstein, Schumer and Pelosi who allege they are Democrats. They give Bush everything he wants to continue our wasting wars in the Middle East. They refuses to even consider impeachment which might save us from him and Cheney. They repeatedly allows his various bills destroying our rights to be re-enacted when all they had to do was to keep them from a vote. In their most recent repudiation of basic Democratic Party principles, they have come out in favor of an Attorney General candidate who wont even halt torture tactics. They are proving more helpful to the Neocon conning cause than if they declared themselves to be one.
With enemies to our Constitution like Bush, Cheney, Schumer, Feinstein and Pelosi, who needs Osama? We need to stop listening to what menaces say and concentrate on what they actually do.

To your warped logic there is ultimately only one way to deal with the “Jewish Problem”—Hitler’s way. And you’ll come to that conclusion sooner or later, or be forced to confront what you’ve become, monstrous, and swerve back to being human.

Feinstiens Husband (Richard Blum) is involved in a company that gets no bid military contracts from the bush administration for reconstruction in Iraq. As chairperson and ranking member of the Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee (MILCON) from 2001 through the end of 2005, Feinstein supervised the appropriation of billions of dollars a year for specific military construction projects. She made sure to look out for her own interests IE lots of money for her husbands company. She is the personification of the term War profiteer so its no suprise that she would screw the people of this country and align herself with likes of these criminals and theives she is one too. As a libertarian, I am constantly amazed at how both Republicans and Democrats will stand by their official party lines, even when they are obviously tyrannical.
Is waterboarding torture? How can you even ask the question?
Any deliberate inflicting of pain on a helpless prisoner is torture. This includes waterboarding, head slaps, manacling in stress positions, sexual debasement—any of the weird stuff this administration has endorsed.
Any cruel and unusual punishment is explicitly forbidden by the Constitution. Thus, the Bush Administration has committed obvious high crimes and misdemeanors. They should be impeached, convicted, and then turned over to appropriate courts for regular criminal prosecution.
Dems and Reps are both part of the same corrupt system.

Diane Feinstein does not take her marching orders from the ‘military industry’; she IS part of that industry.
In a little noticed report, her husband made a deal with the ever-Bushy Carlyle Group, to take control of a billion dollar defense contractor. California is a community property state, so Diane owns half, even as she sits on the Armed Forces Committee.
At the time, the left simply ignored this clear conflict of interest. This type of inattention encourages more of the same. Is it any wonder we are in the pickle that we are in?

The Democrats seem not to have an actual party. If the chairman and all the Presidential candidates are opposing Mukasey, where is the party discipline? Republicans would threaten to pull endorsements, campaign contributions, and threaten powerful primary challenges if any Republican Senators challenged their party leadership in the same manner.
Cowardice is not the problem with the Democrats who vote pro Zionist all the time. The issue is corruption. They are brazen in the way in which they dare to defy the wishes of the American people in their support of both Zionism and the military prison industrial complex.
Pelosi, Emmanuel, and many others are corrupt, not cowardly. They bravely defy the demands of the voters to protect their seats on the gravey train!

Most of the Republicans in the in the South know that a Republican cant win. What they do is to go to Washington wearing Democratic clothing. They have conned the people in the South like they con people in the country with their phony tax cuts. (Three pennies for you and two hundred and seven four thousand for the rich taken from your Social Security that you will never see unless by some miracle you can reach old age). With the Republicans ready to nuke the world I doubt you will ever see senescence. Not only is the South conned but there now is extreme right wearing Democrats clothing all over the country. These pseudo Democrats are as extreme right as the ones wearing Republican (Aka Conservative right wingers) clothing. If you take a survey of Democrats that are true Democrats the results will show they are a minority party and really cant pass any thing to protect the working man. The true Democrats cant prevent the installation of a man or a law that is one hundred and eighty degrees out of phase with our Constitution or Bill of Rights. Believing that the true Democrats are running the show only insults your intelligence. They con you that the Democrats are a majority in this country so the slow learners will throw shit on them for being pusillanimous. Anyone, Democrat or Republican that votes to confirm a man for Attorney General that will not state that water-boarding is torture and against the laws of this country is a traitor. They actually make it look like they’re opposed to everything the criminal-in-chief wants, until they end up giving him everything he wants on a silver platter. Just like he’s always been used to his entire miserable life.
Smoke and mirrors. That’s all it is.
Wave goodbye to the good ol’ U.S. of A in the
rearview mirror, everyone.

Diane Feinstein’s support for Bush/Chaney/CIA water boarding policy is not surprising.
In a sweetheart deal, Feinstein and her husband was ‘sold’ a billion dollar defense contract company, by none other than the Bush-Saudi Carlyle Group—this while she sits on the Senate committee charged with oversight over our defense tax dollars.
Californian progressives who once thought of Feinstein as a San Francisco liberal have given up on her ethical bearings long ago.

I can’t tell you how disappointed I am that the two jewish members of the senate judicial committee voted to approve the jewish candidate for AG.
Report thisIt really proves to me that Jews will always make decisions first as Jews and then as citizens of the country that they live in.
Just like Elliot Abrams disclosed in a 1998 book. Their allegiance is split.
I am withdrawing from this game. Let the chips fall where they might, I will look out for my gain and not give money or support to the Democrats. Each country has the leaders that it deserves.

I try to remember what happened to traitors after world war II, like for instance the politicians that were part of the French Vichy government in WW II. I am sure that no one complained in these days about what happened to them. Feinstein and Schumer (Lieberman of course started it all))are very close falling in that same category of collaborators, kissing up and giving in to every demand of the little dictator.
Report thisIn addition, hiding in the dark till the weekend so no one can reach them does not help their case either.
Disgusting is all I can say about them.

Cyrena you are to kind to call it the rabbit hole, the word I chose is a much better word to describe it,I am certain you can figure it out.And we all know that if all else fails of course they will let this person in thru the backdoor/underhanded way which is the way things are done in the Bush administration.Sneaky, underhanded, unlawful and based on lies.Same story only the names and dates change.
As I have said before if this person cannot decide if waterboarding is torture, demand that he as well as our fearful leader have this demonstrated upon themselves, no substitution, so then they can decide if this is torture after experiencing it firsthand for themselves. That way they should be able to made a coherent decision. It’s a no-brainer.

The Democrats can’t get it together, due to having fifth columnists in their ranks. If the majority party can’t stop an attorney general nominee who doesn’t know if waterboarding is torture, they’ve got a sick party (and the Republicans know it).

Mrs. Chuck Schumer is a Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey phony. Clearly in a class all by his fraudlent self.
Democratic/Republican its a myth of affinities based on yesterday’s dogma. Look at Joey LIEberman, now there’s a star spangled fraud.
Its amazing what a little anthrax, a private plane air crash and a petri dish of mis and disinformation can accomplish.

The only answer I can give for you on this scurvybro, (which isn’t a good one) is that SCHUMER is the one that recommended him, assuming that the Thugs would be more accepting of him than any other democratic referral. (so, political BS)And, I also heard they’re good buddies, and attend the same synogogue.
At least that’s what the talk was at the time. Now of course we know there is far more to it, and that Mukasey was probably the Thugs choice all along. He’s wedded to all of the post-9/11 money schemes, and he and his son are both involved with Guiliani’s firm, as well as his campaign. He’s also the “terror trial’ Judge.
So, it’s difficult for me to believe that Schumer didn’t know any of this at the time of his ‘recommendation’ of Mukasey, so it would appear that he too, has taken the bribe, or otherwise fallen down the rabbit hole. Too bad. I always liked him before this.
Anyway, this thing about a difficult decision is BS as well, since of course he’s gonna vote for him. Bernie Sanders has issued a statement that he will say NO to Mukasey, and from the looks of things, so will Leahy. But, as has been mentioned before, even if the dems actually DO something this time, the Thugs will just wait for the next official Congressional recess, and appoint him anyway, without a confirmation.
It’s their favorite trick.

I don’t give a rat’s a** that Sen. Schumer considers his appoval of Mukasey an “extremely difficult” decision. What I want to hear is an explanation of why he’s going to vote to approve Mukasey, despite Mukasey’s refusal to acknowledge waterboarding as torture.
It’s a simple question, Chuck. How about a straight answer?
