Bush Chides Congress for ‘Wasting Time’

Perhaps this could be a diversionary tactic:  On Tuesday, President Bush criticized the House and Senate for, it would seem, holding his administration accountable for its actions at home and overseas and looking for ways to bring our troops home.

The Hill:

“We’re near the end of the year, and there really isn’t much to show for it,” Bush told reporters following a meeting with House GOP leaders.

“The House of Representatives has wasted valuable time on a constant stream of investigations, and the Senate has wasted valuable time on an endless series of failed votes to pull our troops out of Iraq,” the president said.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) rejected Bush’s attacks.

“The president calls congressional oversight that has uncovered tens of billions of dollars in waste, fraud, and abuse in Iraq a ‘waste of time,’ ” Pelosi said. “We call billions spent in no-bid contracts to Halliburton a waste of money.”

This is to TAO WALKER

I am not a native american, but I believe that if the people who “discovered” america had listened to native americans they would have saved themselves a lot of grief.

I will tell you this yes the ruling class speak with forked tounge, and they also control the media, television, newspapers, etc.

The vote was also stolen in places like Ohio and New Mexico.

Also I enjoy your outlook on life.

Nevermind for now the pitiful “playground” mentality exhibited in the “debate” here between two of the supposedly highest-ranking and most-"powerful" members of their respective ruling-class factions.  It’s all for-show, anyhow.

What continues to strike this old Savage is the persistence, in such clearly sincere and well-meaning commenters here as farmertx (#110630) and so many others, of the belief that there is some sort of “political” remedy for the condition their condition is in.  It is the “therapeutic” equivalent of applying make-up to a corpse so it appears more “life-like” to the bereaved.  “He ain’t dead, he’s just asleep,” as Bob Dylan has the mobster saying about “JOEY.”

How come theamericanpeople still fail so constantly to get their home-grown gangbangers’ daily pounded-in “message” that they ain’t in “....Kansas anymore!”?  Dingdong, “democracy” is dead!....and along with it the “republic” instead of which it stood, in the muddled minds of your average Johnnie Reb and Yankee Doodle Dandy.

A people (of whatever “species") who cannot/will-not recognize and respond organically to drastic changes in their immediate circumstances has lost an essential capacity without which no “kind” goes on as a member of our Mother Earth’s Living Arrangement here.  Looking obsessively and compulsively for “salvation,” rather, to the very institutional and electro-mechanical apparatus that is doing-them-in so efficiently may be the ultimate refutation of the tame two-leggeds’ silly pretensions to being the most “intelligent” among Earth’s Children.

Us free wild natural Human Beings never fell into the trap of thinking we’re “the-brains” of this outfit.  Sea-going Cetaceans and never-forget Pachyderms (to name but a few) have us so far out-classed in that respect it isn’t even funny....except, of course, it is.  So when our tormentors conned the first flock of their domesticated sheeple into setting-up as “top-dog” here, the ten-thousand-year process of Peter-principling nearly an entire species to-death was set in motion.

Where that has them today, struggling to stay afloat in this virtual world-o’-hurt, is the gist and crux of just about every article and story here and all- over the “modern” media-scape.  Yet so many otherwise “smart” people still seem to want to sail blissfully along on “not-a-river-in-Egypt,” expecting the suffocationg stench of morbid corruption will give-way to a dash of Eau de Election ‘08.

This old Indian has seen the whole marked deck the domesticated peoples are being-played with, and that card just ain’t in it.  Not only is the “Great Game” rigged, it isn’t even (contrary to popular perception) “the-only-one-in-town.” Counterfeit forms like the rogue “civilized individual,” the toxically unstable “nuclear family,” the randomly collected “communities” these make-up, and the extremely and prejudicially terminal “national security state” under which all of the above are finally subsumed, are merely cheap imitation plastic substitutes for the natural organic forms apart from which Two-leggeds are not viable here.

We ARE natural Persons, members of the Tiyoshpayes that are the natural organic form of Humanity here.  We do function as components in our Mother Earth’s natural immune system.  Who could ask for anything more.....fitting (as in: better fitting us for “survival")?

Instead of more media-manufactured false comfort, maybe our domesticated Sisters and Brothers would benefit from a dash of the clear cold water of hard truth, in their dream-droopy faces.

HokaHey!

Sadly, neither Party can claim any high ground, based on their actions.
Both have used smoke and mirrors to make it appear that something good is actually happening.
Shrub is still using the tired old rhetoric of protecting the troops and the Nation.
The fact that most thinking adults can see past his bogus claims and the Democrat’s failure to uphold their Oath of Office seems to not matter to any involved.
It is especially sad for this lifelong Democrat to see the Party in the hands of its current leader’s.
But, until there is a ground swell of support for meaningful, as opposed to cosmetic, campaign finance reform, we will continue to get the best politician’s that money can buy, plus the odd dysfunctional one like the Shrub.

From the voice’s on high:

Bush is outraged because the congress has wasted time uncovering corruption, abuse and lost billions under his administration.

Translation: “This is a complete waste of time because everybody already knows were crooked. Geez don’t these people know how to Google?”

Pelosi is outraged because Bush is outraged about the congress proving corruption, abuse and lost billions under his administration, calling it a waste of time.

Translation: “Now that the dishonesty is official can we just settle down and talk to each other? Promise, even though there is ample evidence we wont impeach you.”

In other words, Bush you just go right on abusing the Constitution, the peoples trust, the congress, the military, the troops, the neighbors and the security of the nation, and we in congress will just go right on pretending we care.

I am so sorry to pop your bubble THE HILL, but this is not news.

A terribly defective and dangerous little boy in an oval office that once embraced competence and integrity.

Who says you can’t fall off the floor George?
This minion’s presidential library will be a 24hr. Peep Show of hubris and greed.

He’s a dry drunk on a 8 year binge. The Surgeon General should do a intervention.
