Clinton, Obama Neck and Neck in Iowa Poll

Campaigning is a laugh riot! Well, actually, this picture of Clinton and Obama is from an NAACP event held before the race was in full swing.

Granted, every time a candidate sneezes it seems to occasion a change in the polls these days, but it’s of potential interest that, after recent weeks’ reports seemed to suggest that Hillary Clinton on a national basis was far ahead of her nearest presidential competitor, Barack Obama, he trails her by just two points in a new University of Iowa Hawkeye Poll surveying Iowa caucus-goers.

Support for Edwards and Richardson among Iowa Democrats has slipped since a similar poll in August, allowing Clinton and Obama to tighten their grips on first and second place. Romney has built on his lead among Iowa Republicans, while Huckabee has surged into a virtual tie with Giuliani for second place.

I think Obama has a lot more support than the polls are showing. Clinton is much more corporate, and she accepts their money, unlike Obama. Obama ultimately has a lot more chance for success in the general election. People hate Clinton, even Democrats. Obama is much more likeable, and people trust him, unlike Clinton.

i believe hillary would push other whore’s off their corner so she could give free blow jobs for votes. lucky for her she has the telecom’s, big health and wall street paying to keep her off the streets.

I think we can love or hate the media, depending on our candidate of choice, for airing Hillary this and Hillary that non-stop. Odds are that her outrageous poll numbers reveal more than anything else how much constant media attention affects poll numbers/voter preference.

So why the overwhelming media attention to Hillary? She’s got the money to buy the political ads, lots of them - each costing a fortune. Who benefits from televised ads? Guess.

I’m glad Obama is still doing so well against Hillary. I prefer her to a Republican, but I still think she’s way too corporate for America. Too bad Edwards, Kucinich, and Richardson are doing so badly though.
I personally hate Ron Paul, even for the GOP. His passion for canceling government programs no matter how useful or essential they are, and lowering taxes to an extreme, will make the rich/poor gap so broad it’ll be insane.

When I look at the investigation by the twelve fifties in the stinking boiler rooms fine combing Hillary Clinton’s personal life and finding little or nothing to throw shit on her good name, it must mean they are incompetent or she lives a better live than Jesus did.

At least sexism and racism are issues firmly on the agenda - without even having to mention them any more. I guess the Republicans will represent all those desperate white males who still wish to deny the inevitable....... too bad Condi isn’t running, ha ha!

We can only hope that the caucus and primarys in Iowa and New Hampshire count votes and preferences not dollars. It has been very easy to follow the money, and the polling results it has bought, but hopefully the ballot box is still counted and held as a sacred honor in America. Perhaps we will end the conflict with these early results, thin the field, or throw it wide open. I personally hope Ron Paul shows well in the GOP. and the Hillary and Obama move back toward the field. Perhaps then media will have to allow and even insist that the canadates speak substanstively on the issues.
