Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that Bush’s proposed missile shield in Europe could create a situation analogous to the Cuban missile crisis.  He added, “It’s not the same and we’re not enemies. I can call President Bush my friend. But we’ve put forward solutions and we haven’t yet received any answer.”

BBC:
Russian President Vladimir Putin says US plans for a missile shield could precipitate a situation similar to the Cuban missile crisis of the 1960s.

Is there a major world power that the Bu$h/Neoconites haven’t pissed off yet in recent history? If there is, speak up now so they can screw with you too and get it out of the way.

I’ve long passed the point of thinking things can’t possibly get worse because I have complete faith in Bu$h Inc. to f**k things up even more during the remainder of his reign.

I hope Pres Putin is smart enough to know that when you are dealing with people like these Strangelove Characters you need to brandish your big stick, then maybe they will talk, but only if it is clear you will use said stick and they personally will be on the receiving end. And even then, you need to tell the entire world, so there will be a few who will demand that these crazies stand down.
