 Cheney and Obama Related?Posted on Oct 16, 2007
According to Lynne Cheney, her husband, Dick, and presidential hopeful Barack Obama have a common ancestor, but don’t expect a family reunion any time soon. As Obama’s spokesman quipped: “Obviously, Dick Cheney is sort of the black sheep of the family.”

Obama is not descended from slaves. Otherwise his name would probably be something white-sounding like Cheney. His dad is African, not African-American.

I’m with you here. Very much. This would scare the bejesus out of me if I was Barack Obama. It scares the bejesus out of me - just being ME!!
It’s really very creepy. I’m not saying it’s impossible, -ON HIS MOTHER’S SIDE- but how the hell would Lynne Cheney have access to that information, ABOUT OBAMA?
I don’t even have that kind of information on my own genetical ancestry.

So, hopefully, ya’ll get that. Barack’s MOTHER WAS WHITE. He was born in Hawaii, raised in Kansas, and his parents were divorced fairly early on. His father returned to Africa fairly early on. Barack has therefore not had any long-term extended relationship with his father.
I don’t think his mother was WEALTHY. So, I don’t think he belongs in the ‘class’ of ultra-white, established ‘royal blood” that everybody is trying to give him. In other words…NOT part of the ‘old school’ Bush/Kerry/ETC Cable.
To repeat, he’s about 46 years old now, raised by his WHITE mother in Kansas, and not the first African-American to attend Harvard.
As for the other stuff, (like not committing to full withdrawal by 2013)that’s a different story. I have also heard him say, (on multiple occassions) I that he WILL end the war, but admittedly, he was wishy-washy on that at the time of the New Hampshire debates.
Still, let’s keep the other stuff out of it, since it’s a form of disinformation. Judge the guy on what he’s doing NOW, and not what his now deceased parents have or have not done or been.
Meantime, I still wanna know what Lynne Cheney’s ‘motives’ were, in digging this up.

um….for a part of this thread…I don’t think this means Cheney is of African descent. (For a many thousand years at least.) If anything, its a reminder for people that Obama is part rich-whiteman.

We may all be related far enough back but only these two have a chance at being president. Also, no matter how much Cheneys wants you to believe it, the paths of these two men are not that different. I’ve never heard Obama say he’s going to bring the troops home or promise not to invade Iran. In fact he said the exact opposite. That he wouldn’t be able to by 2013. These two men might be party opposite, but they are peas in a pod.

No, we’re not. Or at least that’s the postulation of most geneticists today. It appears that “human life” originated on different parts of the planet at different times throughout prehistory. It is doubtful that the cold blue-eyed Scandinavians come from the same gene pool as the warm brown-eyed Middle easterners, or the Hot Black-eyed gun metal colored skinned Ugandans.
It would explain human behavior more clearly if some of us came from shark, some from ape, and some from parana!

What’s really sad is that Dick Cheney represents that Republican party that has gone awry, Barack Obama represents the Democratic Party that is angry but lacks the proper experience to effectively lead our country, and America is left to fend for itself.
What America really needs is not old family times, we need new blood and a fresh vision for America, and that vision is Daniel Imperato.
