Iraq Demands Blackwater Exit Strategy

Iraqi authorities have given the U.S. six months to cut ties with Blackwater, and are demanding custody of the private security guards who, according to a government investigation, recklessly opened fire on Iraqi civilians while escorting a State Department convoy.

BBC:

The report says in the time since Blackwater took over security for US diplomats in 2003, its guards have killed 38 Iraqi civilians and wounded about 50 in shootings.

It also says Blackwater’s licence to operate in Iraq expired in 2006, meaning it had no immunity from prosecution under the laws introduced by the US authorities in Iraq after the 2003 invasion.

The Iraqi panel led by the defence minister calls for the US to hand over Blackwater guards to face possible trial in Iraqi courts.

The true definition of a super patriot is one who will support his/her government when he/she believes it is in the right. Criticize his/her government when he/she feels it is in the wrong. Have the intelligence, maturity, and character to make that judgment.

The Iraq puppets have no authority to dictate to the US to cut ties with the Blackwater goons. The Blackwater criminals are doing what they are being paid to do by the British and US. That is to instill fear and horror in the Iraq population. The only way they can dictate to the US is to get permission from the British to do so.

• I believe the actual death toll must be at least ten times this amount if not many times more.  The same can be said for the number of wounded.

Nate, I have a feeling that even the 380 killed and 500 wounded is probably ten times lower than the real figures, but admittedly, there’s no way to be certain of it, since our own media hasn’t really ever tried to do anything more than cover this all up.

But, suffice to say that Blackwater has been operating Death Squads since day one, and it’s been nearly 5 years. There are at least a million Iraqis dead. I’m without doubt that Blackwater has at least half of that blood on their hands. Our own troops have been known to do the same….always women and children making up the largest of the figures.

Meantime, looks like Condi might not be able to talk ‘em out of it this time. Here’s the latest.

The Iraqis are finally ready to do something. I also heard things have considerably quieted down in Basra, now that the British have departed.

The carnage would end if the US left. We know that the Thugs will never let it happen. So, Iraq’s survival is in their own hands. They’ll have to run us out.

The latest decision to arm the Sunnis will probably bring that about. What a horrific tragedy that the Thugs in Cheney’s WH will continue to allow the daily mass deaths (of ours and theirs) before this can finally happen.

“We the people” have been unable to do a thing. That’s why the Iraqis have to do it themselves.

From Jack London’s IRON HEEL: “Another great institution that had taken form and was working smoothly was the Mercenaries. This body of soldiers had been evolved out of the old regular army and was now a million strong, to say nothing of the colonial forces. The Mercenaries constituted a race apart. They dwelt in cities of their own which were practically self-governed, and they were granted many privileges. By them a large portion of the perplexing surplus was consumed. They were losing all touch and sympathy with the rest of the people, and, in fact, were developing their own class morality and consciousness.”

....but he really intends to forever occupy and rule Iraq - by force, if necessary - through a compliant Iraq President and a puppet parliament.  He intends further to drain the country of its oil and force Iraqis into de facto slavery in the extraction of that oil....”

Dale,

This was ALWAYS the plan. To forever occupy and rule, (by whatever means necessary) and to drain the nation of it’s natural resources.

The de facto slavery is already a done deal, but not with the Iraqis - just yet. Rather, they’ve imported thousands of South Asians to do this work, replacing the millions of Iraqis that have been forced to flee.

And, that was always the plan.

Eyewitness accounts confirm there may have been as many as 28 dead civilians in the Blackwater fiasco a couple weeks ago.  Considering this, I find it very hard to swallow that the official Blackwater civilian death toll in Iraq is 38, with 50 wounded.

I believe the actual death toll must be at least ten times this amount if not many times more.  The same can be said for the number of wounded.

Basically, we can safely assume that Blackwater has killed at least 380 civilians since the start of 2003 and wounded at least 500.  This adjusted estimate still sounds conservative in my opinion.

Mercenary US security guard companies operating in Iraq, paid for by government tax dollars of witch a portion goes to Republican politicians, is another instance of the depravity of the Bush Administration. When is the US going to get rid of these stinkers that give the rest of us a bad name?

Blackwater kicked out of Iraq?  You’ve got to be kidding!  Bush needs Blackwater.  He loves to lie about bringing freedom and democracy to a sovereign country; but he really intends to forever occupy and rule Iraq - by force, if necessary - through a compliant Iraq President and a puppet parliament.  He intends further to drain the country of its oil and force Iraqis into de facto slavery in the extraction of that oil.  Blackwater is his means of terrorizing and intimidating people to acquiesce to his ambitions.  Iraqis don’t contribute money to the Republican Party, but Blackwater does; that’s why Blackwater guards showed their disdain for any Iraqi concerns or congressional oversight when they went out again yesterday and gunned down two unarmed Iraqi CHRISTIAN women.  They know that Bush will allow them to do anything they want without any fear of repercussions.  And if Blackwater isn’t enough, Bush’s surrogate warlord, General Petraeus, sends planes to bomb neighborhoods and claim that all 25 (or whatever) killed were insurgents, even if they are mostly women and children.

What is the problem?A sovereign democracy with a justice system the envy of all wants to exercise the right of any democratic country to try people who have committed crimes within its borders. To me it sounds like Bush’s dreams have come true.Of course since Iraq according to Bush is a sovereign country he cannot refuse.Even the Iraqi’s know that George Bush is a moron that they can play like a fiddle.Maybe when his Presidency is over George Bush can join Blackwater and actually fight for a war he supports.I am sure the Blackwater toilets in Iraq could use a good scrubbing.
