Director Brian DePalma says “Pictures are what will stop the war,” and he’s out to prove it. His new film “Redacted,” which focuses on the brutal rape and murder of an Iraqi girl and the killing of her family, uses graphic images from the war that he says media outlets have been too timid to show.

Editor and Publisher:

The film centers on perhaps the most horrendous known atrocity involving U.S. troops, the gang rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl and four members of her family in March 2006. DePalma had directed in 1989 a movie about a rape by U.S. soldiers of a Vietnamese girl called “Casualties of War,” starring Sean Penn and the young Michael J. Fox.

“All the images we...have of our war are completely constructed—whitewashed, redacted,” said De Palma in Venice, according to press reports. “One only hopes that these images will get the public incensed enough to get their congressmen to vote against the war.”

DePalma makes use of images he has grabbed from the Web, including soldiers’ home videos and photos that have never appeared in print. There’s also more standard documentary film footage and the use of fictionalized techniques and characters to avoid certain legal issues, making it into an unusual kind of “docu-drama.”

It should be required by law that all killing and death at the expense of the American taxpayer be broadcast nightly.
I want to see reality.  Only the weak want to have someone kill for them and not see what they have paid for.

I think it will do alot of good for people to be reminded.  Once something has gone on for so long and the MSM isn’t broadcasting hardly any of the realities of war people tend to forget.  There are some graphic videos of the atrocities of war at:

But all Hollywood types hate America. That’s why De Palma is tricking the USA with this “film”. And we all know how much he hates psychic, teen-aged girls with hidden powers. He also totally loathes recording engineers and cross dressing therapists, ALL of whom live in America.

Then there’s that Viet Nam movie he did, where anyone can tell how much he hated Michael J Fox. Tried to get him killed all through the movie.

There’s some other stuff he hates, but I don’t have IMDB.pro.

If DePalma can find a media outlet to run his images as often as they run the latest celebrity news, real progress in ending the Iraq nightmare might just be possible.

Bottom line is that we the people are going to have to mobilize to end this war, the politicians through their corporate masters have a vested interest in keeping it going.

I wish it were true. But I don’t think it will happen. Because those in charge of our country, do not care what the people think or what they feel.

And they will continue to go forward with their plans, unless congress has the courage to remove them from office.

Some believe, that there are other larger plans, other targets for their sociopathy.

You have to have a heart, empathy and a conscience, to be so moved, and maybe the public will demand an end to the war, but those in power will not respond.
